Thanks to everyone who were brave enough to include their ideas this month. Chris has approved all of them so that is a great start to the voting round. This is a blind vote so you will only see the current status AFTER voting. You have a week to take part. Please remember to comment on your choices, as there will be plenty of voters that can be swayed with a clever argument or properly sourced information from the books, or even a lovely drawing.

Hobbit of the Fellwinter/Long Winter Winter weather is starting to approach in parts of the northern hemisphere, so a bundled up Hobbit seems like a good idea.
"...since the white wolves came in the Fell Winter, when the Brandywine was frozen over." - A Knife in the Dark
"...and they prospered and multiplied until the disaster of Long Winter and the famine that followed it." - Concerning Hobbits
I imagine this figure as a very well bundled Hobbit, with heavy cloak, fur rimmed hood, etc. However, even then it looks emaciated, it lacks the normally chubby cheeks found on Hobbits who don't miss meals. The hands are outstretched, one in a mitten, one bare, either warming over a fire or warding off a winter wolf.
I suppose this could also work for a fool of a Took who'd heard about frozen mushroom soup among the Lossoth.

Beorn's animals
This month, I propose again a rather unusual miniature: Beorn's animals but which could also be associated with Radagast or even Tom Bombadil. This is a young deer with a squirrel on his back, a little bird on his head and a rabbit at his feet. Nothing heroic or historical (no reference to a character named in a book) but a subject that seems to me perfectly in the spirit of Tolkien and it would be a good complement to the Beorn, Radagast or Tom Bombadil miniatures. If Chris considers it too complex for a single figure, he can obviously simplify and remove one or two small animals.

Hama presenting Herugrim to Theoden My suggestion for this month (although a repeat character) is of Hama presenting Theoden with the king's sword, Herugrim, which had been taken by Grima Wormtongue.
I see Hama probably dress in a mail hauberk kneeling down with arms outstretched holding Theoden's sword for the king to take, having been 'rid' of Saruman's curse that had caused him to become a dotard. At that moment Hama came again from the hall. Behind him cringing between two other men, came Grima the Wormtongue. His face was very white. His eyes blinked in the sunlight. Hama knelt and presented to Theoden a long sword in a scabbard clasped with gold and set with green gems.‘Here, lord, is Herugrim, your ancient blade,’ he said. ‘It was found in his chest. Loth was he to render up the keys………….’

Lothlorien elf with lamp
They were clad in shadowy-grey, and could not be seen among the tree-stems, unless they moved suddenly. They stood up, and one of them uncovered a small lamp that gave out a slender silver beam. He held it up, loking at Frodo’s face, and Sam’s. Then he shut off the light again, and spoke words of welcome in his elven tongue. Frodo spoke haltingly in return.

FirielFíriel was wed to prince Arvedui of Arnor in T.A. 1940 when Arvedui's father Araphant made an alliance with Ondoher. The alliance proved fruitless, however. Neither side could send help to the other as both Kingdoms came under attack: Arnor by Angmar and Gondor by the Wainriders. During the Disaster of the Morannon, Ondoher and his sons Artamir and Faramir were killed, which meant that according to the Law of Númenor, Fíriel should have become the Ruling Queen. Arvedui referred to this ancient law, as well as the fact that he was a direct descendant of Isildur, as arguments to claim the crown of Gondor, but he was refused. Fíriel remained with her husband in the north, though her fate in the fall of Arthedain was never recorded. She did have a son, Aranarth, who continued the line of Isildur. please visit imgur.com/gallery/bKXL3Xk for her life

While we are here, with the December/Februar double vote looming.
Perhaps you will take the chance this year to make these two minis as a pair, so that we will be able to suggest two single minis in interaction without the danger of seeing just one. All that would be necessary is to just vote on pairs - anybody can suggest a pair and then we vote on this paired suggestion, though one will be made for December and the other for January. Of course the two minis do not need to be related, but I assume that most here will take advantage of that possibility.
As examples (using combinations that exist, if as vignettes) I name "Bilbo and Gollum in the cave" or "Dain and Azog fighting", or "Aragorn and Arwen in Rivendell". Others possibilities would be the same character in two poses like "Northem ranger fighting and (the same) Northman ranger relaxing at a fireplace", or "A Rohirrim horse and a Rohirrim rider blowing a horn", or "A fox and a sleeping hobbit".
I just think that with 9 or 10 single minis a year already existing combining two of them in a single vote when we vote on two anyway is an opportunity you should use. Apart from that, voting is easier.
