Welcome to July's 2nd round vote. I chose the finalist from the previous 11 option based on their popularity, with 'Gilraen and the child Aragorn fleeing to Imladris' and 'Eorl and Felarof' coming in neck and neck. This vote is going to be tight, so EVERYONE vote please. Every vote counts. I realise some members may be on holidays but I do ask that we see a high turnout this round. Best of luck to all finalists, you are all winners and I hope to see you all created at some point.

Well, it has to be Eorl for me. I've been championing his cause for nigh on a year now, and if this isn't his best chance then he probably has no chance at all!

I said Eorl would have my vote this time and so be it (now, about that free flagon of scrumpy Barley!).

I voted for 'Gilraen and the child Aragorn fleeing to Imladris' as I think Chris would create a very moving sculpture of this scene and also the fact that we do not have very many female figures overall. Congrats on a nice idea for a figure set.

Where now, the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing? Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing? Where is the hand on the harp string, and the red fire glowing? Where is the spring and the harevest and the tall corn crowing? They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow; They days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow. Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning? Or behold the flowing years from the sea returning? EORL! Forth Eorlingas Gavin

Ah, the rhyme! Unfortunately I can't read it these days without instantly thinking of the version which did the rounds while 'The Two Towers' movie was in production:
Where now, the horse and the rider? - No, really - it was my favourite horse!
More to the point, where now everybody who should be voting for Eorl? Come on guys (and Wendy...) - this is his best chance to finally become the figure that's been sadly and inexplicably omitted from the Mithril range for so long.

I would like to see Chris' version of the father of all mearas. I imagine a dynamic pose with mane and tail flying in the wind carrying Eorl the Young charging into battle.

Tough choice between Eorl and Gilraen, but I finally chose Gilraen.

Come on people, how on earth can a woman on foot carrying a kid out-run the father of all horses? If the woman wins, then believe me, I shall be calling for a stewards' inquiry.
Let's see all you Eorlingas out there rally to the true cause in this dire hour of need! Vote Eorl before it's too late.

Hi,
as I feel very near to the Dunedain and because I think, this is a miniature never to be made by any miniature factory and Chris will do a very good job creating a fleeing woman with a child I voted for the "baby"-Aragorn and his mother.

I think it would be a better idea to find another horse. This one just hasn't got the stamina. Perhaps it's because he's knackered after galloping up and down these lists repeatedly for the past ten months.
Still, it's not over yet - there's only four votes in it and potentially 20 or so that might yet be cast if all the usual suspects make a showing, so I shall continue to remain positive until we reach the finishing line.

Eorl this month - please resubmit Gilraen if she doesn't make it this month - it would be very cool!

Well Barli, I know how you feel! The Lossoth Hunter has made the final round several times now, only to come up a bit short (1 vote to Faramir and Eowyn, but now by a good margin). By the time I logged on to give the Lossoth Hunter a plug 30 votes had already been cast! Oh well, you all know the story by now anyway.
With all the vocal support Barli had, I thought Eorl was in the bag, so to speak (of course, if he ever visited the Pony, it would be literally).
Well good luck to both of the other suggestions, as they are fine ideas. Barring some miraculous comeback, the Lossoth will have to hunt for votes another month.

Woah - this one looks like a great race to the finish. Was knocked out for a couple of days at this end and surprised to see Eorl playing catch-up, but then I'm sure Gilraen has a bit of pace in her when she needs it . But for staying power (that was some ride from the upper Anduin) and to keep Barly from having too much scrumpy if Eorl doesn't get up, it's got to be another vote for that rider named Eorl! Should be a good, tight finish!

Well, I would hardly be opposed to all three being made. But for this month, go Eorl!

What happens if it is a tie? Who will hold the crucial vote that will bring tears to one and joy to the other? I'm almost wanting to age another day quicker just to see how this nail-biter will end.
We had better keep this forum from the major Betting-shop chains as they will want to edge in on our fun and start offering odds on theh outcomes.
Hold your nerve Barley, the winning post is in sight.

There's still a dozen or so regular voters who've yet to commit themselves, if previous months can be taken as any sort of guide, but being the holiday season, who can say how many of them are actually around?
And have no fears for Felarof - he's at his best on the home straight. Particulary since Bob tells me he gave him a bran mash laced with lembas and miruvor to see him through... I had some myself, and I haven't stopped moving all week - er, if you see what I mean.

I thought Lembas would stop you 'moving' - if you see what I mean, but I suppose the Miruvor could upset the balance!! But for those who haven't cast a vote yet, Eorl has surely waited long enough to deserve his place in the hallowed halls of immortality. Next month could see Bombur get a new chance, who knows.

There won't be a tie, Dave, as you chose wisely to vote today. Master Barliman, I was back from my holiday in time to vote for Eorl. That's how I plan my holidays

Aye, just quietly. I suspect Barly and Bombadil have both had to take up some kind of relaxation exercises (lembas and miruvor?!) to keep them on the straight and narrow, what with lead changes, suspense, and two ripping suggestions. And let's not forget that there's plenty of excitement for the Lossoth hunter as well (I'm sure that it's only a matter of time)!

It seem's to be the first tie in our votings!
Well, Chris has the final say.
Eorl was first in suggestion for many months, so I personally hope he will made it, There are more months to vote - Gilraen is great too, and Arathorn has to follow to complete the family - soon. But only Eru knows what next great suggestions will come...
