Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member. This month we are looking again for 'pure' single figures, not mounted figures or double figures, and certainly not vignettes. Past examples are King of the Dead, Cirdan the Shipwright and Helm Hammerhand. Please keep this in mind when explaining your idea. Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote. This suggestion board stops taking new ideas at 16.00 GMT on the 17th. Voting will begin on the 18th of October (first round) in the afternoon (GMT). Second round voting will commence on the 25th. This will last until the 31st of October. All votes will end at 16.00 GMT or BST (british standard time). You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions. I will re-submit my suggestion of the soldier that accompanied the Mouth of Sauron and held up the Mithril shirt, cloak and other bits and peices. I think this was mis-interpreted last time as a vignette suggestion and not the SINGLE figure intended . I know the figure is not a named character as such, but might make a nice individual bad guy that can be used with the MOS figure ;D. A sketch has been submitted - please ignore the MOS and any other character - this is a SINGLE figure suggestion. Well done Beregond, and I've just seen the sketch of Galadriel with harp which looks cool.

Vanity, I know, but Master Tubb's earlier renditions of me haven't quite captured my muscular physique, my rugged good looks, and - gasp - have completely omitted my handlebar moustache. So, in order to give him the opportunity to put these, dare I say it, errors to rights, I propose a miniature of me rushing bravely to confront the return of Gandalf and the four Travellers to the Prancing Pony after the War of the Ring: "Out he (me, that is, of course...) came with a rush, and he (that's me again) had a club in his hand. But when he (me again - well, you get the idea by now...) saw who they were he stopped short, and the black scowl on his face changed to wonder and delight."
I suggest that the figure should be of me at my bravest, club held high in both my mighty fists (well, they're mighty compared to Nob's), ready to see off those varmints from the Wild Lands that I thought had come back to threaten my patrons. And, of course, my handlebar moustache should feature prominently, being the bravest part of me (it NEVER runs away before I do).

I suggest again, Angbor the fearless, Lord of Lamedon.
"Only Angbor, Lord of Lamedon, had the heart to abide us (the King of the Dead and Grey Company)..." - ROTK
This dude was called fearless by Aragorn himself.

How about the Riverwoman, mother of Goldberry? She is probabloy based on folkloric figures in our world like the witch Jenny Greenteeth. I thnk a figure naked torso half raised from a base sculpted with waves and eddies. Her long hair should hang down and mix with the flowing water. Perhaps she could have the face of an old woman to emphasis her relationship to Goldberry.

A question: would a miniature of a equestrian statue of Romendacil II, conquerer of the east and builder of the Argonath, qualify as a single miniature? I am thinking the mini would have to be larger than a miniature of a Knight of Dol Amroth. A statue like that would look nice in any Minas Tirith diorama.

Hi Chantelfique,
this is an often wished suggestion but it´s forbidden to even think about it! Sorry! Look at all the old threads that deal with licenses and that kind of stuff.
While we saw a thrush with Bard growing mighty last month, I´ll try out another bird this time: Roäc the raven! I´ll suppose him sitting on a rock, talking and listening to Thorin. It´s only because I love that scene when Roäc´s speaking to Thorin.

Good Morning and Mae govannen, as Gondor and his inhabitants seem to be popular, I like to suggest a mini I never have seen realized: [shadow=red,left,300][glow=red,2,300] Duinhir Lord of the Blackroot Vale[/glow][/shadow] I hope one time to see his sons although made as figures, but he would be the startig point for the next provincial regiment, consisting of 500, which means of only! archers. It would be a nice figure, NOT looking like the rangers of Ithilien and NOT with the typical Gondorian helmet. He neeeds a nice elaborated sword of old at his side. A quiver on his side, too, as quivers at the back were never been used in medieval history. I think, this great lord, killing the Mumakil!! must have a special look, but not to celtic/dunnish like, as he his of Dunedain blood. So that's it. I think it is time now for some other Gondorian lords, a nice support for Beregond. VOTE FOR DuinhirLord of the Blackroot Vale Gondor has no king, and Gondor needs no King!! (but lots of provincial lords and soldiers ) Namarie Estel

For this month, I suggest, Castamir the Usurper, of Umbar. "The people of Umbar during the later Third Age, largely descended from Castamir the Usurper and his followers". Not many figures have been made about the people from Umbar, and I thought that doing Castamir would be more popular instead of suggesting a generic captain or soldier. I see Castamir as a mixture between a pirate and a noble.

Arwen dancing (on some meadow in Lorien, not on a "formal" feast in Rivendell or Gondor)

Michael, I know this is a single figure month but would two hobbit-sized folks wrapped in a struggle count as a single human? I was thinking of the final struggle between Frodo and Gollum for control of the ring over the fires of Mt. Doom? Perhaps just at the moment when Frodo loses his finger and becomes visible?

I suggest the Elven-King Thranduil in light armour at the Battle of the Five Armies. He would be a nice add-on to Beorn and Bolg.

It might but the figures would not be separate, they would be joined together in the final miniature as you stated above. I 'should' disallow it as it is really 2 figures but I am fond of the idea. If members vote on the idea they must bear that in mind.

I would like to resubmit my idea of Aragorn as a companion piece to the King of the Dead Fellowship figure. I can see Aragorn standing by the Black Rock with Anduril held high summoning the Army of the Dead to him. Now that would be one cool looking figure!

I think after much consideration (well drinking tea and making a sandwich) that the figure I should like to propose this time around is...
Elladan in Ranger garb. I am thinking of a unmounted miniature that crosses the "look" of the M339 Elrohir and the MS Halbarad figure. The figure is cloaked and hooded, but his Elvish features are distinguisable. He's hold his bow half drawn, looking off into the distance. The Ranger star is pinned to his cloak. He maybe wears mail underneath (not plate), but the shirt is trimmed with ornate patterns. Or alternately he wears a boiled leather thing like the Elrohir miniature. Which, he's dressed for the cool climes of Eriador and dressed for fighting in the wilds.
He's a companion piece to the "Aragorn with Palantir" miniature and/or the King of the Dead miniature.
We already have a really good Elrohir in M339 and a decent one in LR38, so a Ranger-ish Elladan would be highly welcome. The plated armour seems a bit too bright and shiny for a member of the Grey Company ranging far afield.
I'd love a beautiful, dynamic figure of one of the unsung heroes of Middle Earth.

Hi,
I suggest a statue of an ancient king of Gondor with head on ground, sit down on his throne, with orcish depravities on

I would like to propose a single figure of Castamir the Usurper, from a point in the batlle of the Crossing of Erui. I would anticipate that he would be wielding a Sword (maybe a blocking/defensive stance) and a small axe attacking (like what you would use to chop grappling ropes on a ship). As he was lord of ships - his armour would be light and tight fitting plate (like 15th century German armour) a picture can be seen at the following link, the one on the bottom of the page (minus the sallet and extra pointy sabatons). www.myarmoury.com/feature_gothic_armour.htmlHe would either be without a helm or have a traditional numenorean helm instead. It would be a dramatic, all out desperate battle pose as his last stand.

I will once again suggest the Lossoth Hunter. He has been suggested in many different renditions over the months, so I would just have Chris design him in any way he saw fit.
He has made it to the final round many times. Perhaps this will be his month!

Hello dear fellowship members!
At first I was thinking to keep to hold on my suggestion of Lady Galadriel with harp, but it doesn't seem`s many interest for her at the moment. So I will keep her in mind for the future
So there is another one character, that wasn't released so far: We have miniatures of Elrond, Elrohir & Elladan and Arwen already, but there is one missing to complete the family:
Lady Celebrian! daughter of Galadriel & Celeborn, wife of Elrond and mother of the twin brothers and Lady Arwen
As I know, there is the story, that she travelled once from Rivendell to Lorien (or the other way, I'm not sure – doesn't matters anyway...) and was attacked and captured by cruel orcs. she was rescued by her brave sons but she got sad of middle-earth, so she went over the sea to the undying lands and left middle-earth some time ago.
So how about a nice single female elven figure of Celebrian, either in Lorien or in Rivendell. Standing or sitting, perhaps with some flowers...
... another idea whould be her dramatical rescue itself... (but I have uncomplainingly to keep that suggestion for a vignette month...)
Go on suggesting and vote wisely!
Harald from germany
PS: I'm just back from a holiday in Ireland and hooray! - I have visited our Prince August/Mithril factory, have met Michael and all the people there, saw how our beloved, precious miniatures are made. It was so fantastic and awesome! I had a great time there - so if you ever get a chance to come to Ireland, do the same!
