This is the final round for this month. I will extend the vote until Monday 3rd of March until 12.00 a.m. GMT.
There are just 3 finalists and no overwhelming favourite as yet, with lots of undecided votes to gain support from.
The winner of the first round was 'Gandalf mounted upon Gwaihir'

Mae govannen, let's do something for the Arnor fans, longing for some figures to recreate the fall of the northern kingdom by the hands of Angmar. Imagine what a hillman would look like or a Arnorian lord ? All the sadness of Tolkiens work could be put into these figures..... NAMARIE estel

For me it's Gandalf mounted upon Gwaihir still.

I really want to see the Hillman chieftain and the knight of arthedain... the sight of two men of the north, descendants of Haleth and Beor now making war in the shadow of Angmar.

What a close run!! Think about getting 2 figures when voting for Arnor vs. Hillmen! So vote for Arnor and the Hillmen, Vote for the sadness of Middle-Earth and for Ages of old! NAMARIE estel

...a mounted knight is 2 figures already - Horse and rider + the combatant Hillmen-King... and what if the Hillman is mounted too? Gandalf and Gwaihir will be 2 figures too... ) (that will be easier to cast in pewter I think...) but let's see who wins... exitement raises...

we'll see which one wins... the only thing I think about is that gandalf is a vignette, the mounted knight and the hillman king is an addition of two non-vignettes which could easily be submitted in regular months, this is not the case for real vignettes , well that's how I see it anyway

Opinions? Well, with Boromir safely on the third place I wish I could swap my vote towards the Knight of Arnor. I suggested a Knight of Arnor (not mounted) myself not too long ago, and frankly said the eagles we got yet are a bit on the small side to bear Gandalf in his full might. I would have a better feeling with the Arnorian choice and hope for something similar to the Swan Knight on the Pelennor - vignette.

well seems the eagles are flying away to let place for still another rider Though I will indeed buy it, and I don't want to disagree with Estel at all, but Mithril range has so many riders/knights already that I thought some of them could indeed be converted to be an Arnorian Knight... after all, it is not a personnality but merely an anonymous mounted figurine against an anonymous single figurine (I don't know if the hillman king will be on the same base as the rider if it wins, I do hope so, at least that would be a vignette... unlike the camel rider and the gondorian fighter... As for an eagle rider... well, as far as I can remember, not a single one in the whole range. Indeed eagles so far have been quite small and not very detailed, but that was years ago since we had any eagles... Indeed you'll say I defend my idea... Of course, mainly because it is a vignette and not anonymous, while an arnorian knight could be suggested on a "mounted single" month, while an eagle could not. We'll see what the vote decides. or if it can't, we'll see what Chris decides (as it is meant to be the rule in case of a draw)

We'll see what the vote decides. or if it can't, we'll see what Chris decides (as it is meant to be the rule in case of a draw) Morning Gildor, why not having both suggestions ;D, with the chance to have a knight quite and very very different from existing ones :Dand a newby the hillman king (no NOT a different version of a Dunlending, but something new ) AND a new version of Eagles plus Gandalf . I do not think Chris would make Gandalf sitting atop the eagle as the eagles Chris designed are much too small for that, so it is just "another version" of M140 "great eagle". BUT: I wish, that a new "bird" would be more detailed like you have noticed- it is a hard job to paint them realistic because of the lack of feather details- I like the poses very very much and also the idea, but the figures itself could be as detailed as the rest of the figure line. Just my opinion. I still hope to see both figures released and still dream of the old Ages of Arnor, Cardolan, Rhudaur and Arthedain... and well Angmar So I think the knight could be one of the last true Dunedain lords of Rhudaur defending against the Hillmen or anything like that and yes, Gildor, a vignette like the Swan knight would be fine Namarie estel

I admit I have apprehension on the rendering of a mounted eagle... the former eagles were too small and not detailed ... that would not do for this gandalf. As for your idea Estel, it indeed has some interest if put in a scene like the swan knight indeed! Still, having a name to put on the Arnorian knight would have been a "bonus"

The result at the moment is not really what I wished for. I like both of the other suggestion aswell, it is just a long wait for the next "vignette" month.
