First one this time... I whould like to see Castamir together with Eldacar, whom he stole the crown better in a vignette month... Billy Troll is great (quite obvious ) ) but what is he without his pals Bert and Tom? and I think it will take some time to get the other both winners here... I really, really want to see Saruman as Sharkey, now I have to mull over Sharkey and Celebrian, but with the chance I give my vote to the lady this time, for there are so many male figures and also for she was my suggestion already several times.... almost winner Cheers, hwolf

Definitely Celebrian.
A miniature which can be Elrond's wife (a nice mini diorama there!) or a Noldorin lady for any other diorama.

With haughty gaze reveals the splendor of its recent past and aged for having suffered a resounding defeat. That is the figure Sharkey: the greatest magician of all Third Age ...... It was the biggest opponent he had Gandalf (saving the Balrog .... ) represented on the eve of his power must be present in Mithril ...

No orcs this time eh? Let's vote for Bill then! ;D I'm wondering what Bill will look like. So far, Mithril trolls have been pretty serious looking monsters. In contrast, I've always pictured Tom, William and Bert as being sort of "Where The Wild Things Are" cute. Certainly, Bill was a large and fearsome creature, with his big belly protruding from under his shirt, holes in the knees of his trousers, but, nevertheless, he and his buddies were kind of childlike. It will be interesting to see how Bill fits in with the other heavily armed and armored trolls from Mithril. I hope he wins!

As much as I'd be glad to see Bill... That would be odd to have him "lonely" without his two brothers... Either Bert and Tom will be submitted next times in the GF with no guarantee to win... either Mithril decides in a "not too soon" future , to release them on regular range which would be really odd if Bill is not inside the lot, and odd too if he is (because then the MS Bill would once again feel lonely) that's a difficult choice, to have Bill made... alone... quite interesting but odd...

If Bill should win, how about a nice suggestion next vignette month with the other both trolls and a campfire? (+ perhaps Burglar Bilbo maybe stealing the troll purse or already catched?) Otherwise without Bilbo and fire the Trolls can be painted as like petrified by Gandalf....
whould the support be enough, Fellows?

It´s a shame they didn´t realize the Three Trolls ´til now! That´s a shame! And a pitty! Please, don´t be annoyed, Barli! But count all these double, thrice or more released Sarumans, Gandalfs, Aragorns, Boromirs, Elronds, Frodos, Bilbos and what else! And then, please, count all those namely known heroes, persons, monsters which have never been released before! It´s not fair! Where are the Three Trolls? Where is Thorin´s Company, Arathorn, Celebrian or - for a very long time - Theodred? I cannot understand this! Do we all believe Chris might - hopefully - be an elf? He is mannish, I guess. May he stay at good health for a very long time! So why should we - or he - repeat the same things again an again like a Tibetian praying-mill? Men´s possibilities are not endless!

Well, bombadil1963, I really want to calm you down a bit ... at least a little bit. ... Huoommmrhuooomm ... as I also dislike all those what you call "double, triple ... versions of certain character-suggestions" I do agree, and I think most of the members of this board do see it the same way - as far as I can see from the suggestions being put here. Try to remember the affectionate acceptance of your 'squirrel-suggestion' as for real. ... Hom.

Many good points have been made. A lone troll, resurrected, without his two comrades to keep him company? Hmmm, it does seem odd. However, should Bill win, I'm certain Bert and Tom will follow soon enough. Plus, it will make the anticipation that much more exciting! By the way, the suggestion of a Bert and Tom vignette, that would also incorporate Bill, is an excellent idea. Let's go Billy-boy! Bert and Tom will join us soon!

Being obvously biased in this instance however I thing Ungoliant has worded it perfectly. If Bill does hold out against the Celebrian and roll in first I think that given the more 'jovial' nature of the trolls in the Hobbit (if discussing the best way to cook a Dwarf can be considered jovial) Bill would make a nice stand alone figure anyway as the style would need to be a little different as mentioned by Ungoliant so it would be interesting to see how CT would interpret him, and yes If he does win a vignette of his two brethren would make a fantastic end to the story of the Three Trolls. However it is still a close call and a lot can happen between now and the end.

Compared to other trolls, Bill, Bert and Tom were mental giants, capable of conversation, simple arithmetic and even compassion (at least when Bill's stomach was full). In short, these guys had personalities of their own. I think their facial expressions should reflect this.
I don't see these trolls wearing much armor either. I imagine them wearing simple clothing, furs, caps, etc. Weapons: A few light blades or some wooden clubs (nothing too heavy). Oh, yeah, and a sack or two tucked into their belts or slung over their backs. Remember, these guys were drifters!
I'm just throwing some ideas out there. In the end the artist decides what the miniature will look like. Perhaps he will give Bill a simple loincloth and club, who knows? Maybe the elf will win the day and the trolls will have to wait a little longer. I'm sure Celebrian will make a beautiful addition to the Mithril line. We shall see.
This is a forum where people make suggestions and voice their opinions. It's great fun! I am partial to the monsters, so please excuse me if I seem a bit overzealous when it comes to orcs and trolls.

good ones Bombadil and Theobald!
As for I see it, I don't think that some members realize that the mithril minis are sculpted by one (1!) single man, and a still good one.
- Not many sculptors as in other metal miniature figurine companies from UK, France or US!
Folks we are months back with gold fellowship releases, why always it must be the biggest ones and most expensive miniatures which need much time in sculpting and producing when there is a single figure month?
does anyone think about this when voting or suggesting?

I have wondered it too, for a long time... And that is the main reason why I voted for Celebrian. I'd like very much to see and have William the Troll, but not alone. It would be so much better as normal, not The Fellowship vignette (= Box set) , with his brothers Bert and Tom, and with poor frightened Bilbo...

Do the larger more expensive miniatures always win? I am a relatively new member and wasn't aware of this. Personally, I find monsters much easier to work with. Unlike the noble race of elves or the younger children of Eru, orcs and trolls don't have to be anatomically perfect or wear highly ornate armor. Orcs and trolls come in all sizes, shapes, and categories. Their types are virtually limitless. There are the strong ones, the sly ones, the nutty ones, the paranoid ones, the ruthless ones, the grotesque ones, the deceptive ones, and too many others for me to mention. I find elves and humans much more difficult and time consuming. And that's why we eat them!
