-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member. This is a single figure month, but will allow mounted figures as well. However this month has a new twist. Over the last few years we have gotten hundreds of superb ideas that almost were produced and I would like to give one of these fantastic ideas a chance to succeed. So have a look at our Archive section and choose one from there. The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability. Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY: IDEA TITLE "this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..." Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion. Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote. Voting will begin on the 16th of May (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 15th. You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry). If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions. GO TO GALLERY PAGE: www.mithril.ie/Fellowship/gallery.html

So, once again! [glow=red,2,600]King Brand of Dale [/glow]in his last stand. Weary, wounded but strong and proud! One of the lesser known heroes of the end of the Third Age! Without him and King Dain Sauron´s forces might have won the war in the North. He should be clad in a long mail-shirt, a dwarven helmet, like the the dwarves in the "Thorin & Dain"-series. To differ him from the dwarves he should wear a large shield, perhaps similar to those of the the people of Esgaroth, with a dying dragon on it. His weapons could be a medium large dwarven war-axe and a longsword.

Angbor the fearless, mounted
From ROTK, The Last Debate:
And there men of Lamedon contested the fords with fell folk of Umbar and Harad who had sailed up the river. But defenders and foes alike gave up the battle and fled when we came, crying out that the King of the Dead was upon them. Only Angbor, Lord of Lamedon, had the heart to abide us; and Aragorn bade him gather his folk and come behind, if they dared, when the Grey Host had passed.
'That night we rested while others laboured. For there were many captives set free, and many slaves released who had been folk of Gondor taken in raids; and soon also there was a great gathering of men out of Lebinnin and the Ethir, and Angbor of Lamedon came up with all the horsemen that he could muster.'
Four thousands I sent marching from Pelargir through Lossarnach two days ago; and Angbor the fearless rides before them.

With permission Mr. savage727 recover an idea of him .... SAURON AS NECROMANCERWho would like to see The Necromancer in a diorama with the White Council? While more than one waiting anxious a scene with all members of the council we can take to Sauron, the sorcerer, opening the appetite.... ;D

don't forget Erchamion that C.Tubb has always been reluctant to sculpting Sauron in any ways... We had a Sauron at Gorgoroth indeed but i doubt Chris would be enthousiast as to make another Sauron...
Still a little detail... Sauron as the necromancer should look like a Nazgul... In one of the writings , Gandalf said that during the siege of Dol Goldur, he thought it was a nazgul running the place but it appeared later afterwards that it was Sauron himself... So I assume he had a "wraith" appearance, in any way a very very very shadowy appearence... (remember that in the third age he can only assume an "Eye form" but no one know if this "eye" is a spiritual eye or a physical eye... Still a shadow behind a robe lacks consistency and Sauron could be... like a Nazgul... too many questions...

I don´t know that C. Tubb was reluctant to sculpt to Sauron .... But, apart from Sauron in Gorgoroth, also appears soon Sauron as Annatar, the Lord of the gifts, fighting with Celebrimbor. It is also Sauron in another form Anyway, thanks for remember me, Gildor. If indeed there is a problem I can change this suggestion.

INGOLD AT THE RAMMAS ECHOR
My resurrected idea is the same one as I've suggested for the past couple of months, though I think he's already up against some stiff opposition! As a reminder, Ingold is the officer in command of the work detail repairing the outer walls of Gondor, the Rammas Echor, as Gandalf rides up to Minas Tirith from Rohan with Pippin. I've always envisaged him standing wrapped in a thick cloak for warmth and protection from the grey early morning mist, holding a torch up high so as to examine the riders' faces while he questions them. A nice simple figure of a guy with a 'talking part' in LOTR who has nevertheless never had a model made of him. And who knows, in some future month we might get a mounted Gandalf and Pippin combo and be able to complete a rather atmospheric vignette.
"It was twilight: the cold dawn was at hand again, and chill grey mists were about them. Shadowfax stood steaming with sweat, but he held his neck proudly and showed no sign of weariness. Many tall men heavily cloaked stood beside him, and behind them in the mist loomed a wall of stone. Partly ruinous it seemed, but already before the night was passed the sound of hurried labour could be heard: beat of hammers, clink of trowels, and the creak of wheels. Torches and flares glowed dully here and there in the fog. Gandalf was speaking to the men that barred his way".

MAE GOVANNEN, MELLON quite hard to decide this month, which character to suggest. I want some more named characters and I had in mind something evil, BUT this time seems to be the Gondor month and I miss almost all of the side characters of "Lotr" but a few and I like the Imrahil figure very very much, photos are impressive!! So this time I suggest (again): [glow=beige,2,300]HIRGON, riding errand of Gondor, carrying the red arrow[/glow]He should sit on a rearing horse, holding the red arrow in his right hand, looking back to Minas Tirith. Hirgon needs weapons to defend himself against the Orcish attackers and scouts, so he has a sword, some daggers, a bow (even used as a hunting weapon when he needs some food in the wilderness) and only few body armour (maybe a Gondorian helmet?), as Hirgon needs to be fast. I hope this guy has a cloak against the cold of night and to keep of the rain. Hirgons cloth should be a mixture of a royal person and a warrior/ranger. That's it! NAMARIE estel

Gildor, are you not going to resubmit Bert the Troll this time around? We've had a 'Troll-free' month, so perhaps........

Once again I shall suggest...
A Shield Maiden of the Horse Lords
She is a vision of the North, from the long days of sorrow and war and glory, from the songs of the Eotheod and the Rohirrim.
She rides a galloping horse, and she wears no helm and her hair streams behind her, caught in the river wind.
She holds a spear at attention, a penant streaming from its shaft. She wears bright mail and a rich cloak for travelling. A fine round shield hangs from her saddle with the proud sigil of the Horse Lords emblazoned there.
Behind her we can imagine the riders of the north sweeping down towards the enemy. Before her we can imagine one of the great princes of the north on a great horse - perhaps Frumgar, perhaps Eorl, perhaps even Theoden in his youth.
The dawn sunlight shines in her golden hair, and enemies fly before her.

GIRION LORD OF DALE Not sure when I suggested this, but I pictured him holding the necklace of emeralds given to him by the dwarves and coveted by the Elven king. Possibly Girion could be letting the necklace flow through his hands as he admires the craftsmanship of the Dwarves (I keep looking at the latest Haradrian Chieftan as I think Chris has captured the facial expresssion perfectly and something similar is what I'm thinking of). Never released and although not a major character he is nonetheless part of the history of the Northlands.

Grishnakh, Orc Captain of Mordor
While Ugluk is probably the most infamous orc in Middle Earth, Grishnakh is definitely a close second. Since Mithril made the M178 Ugluk quite some time ago, it makes sense that Ugluk's rival from Mordor should follow. I made the suggestion in March, and I believe another member suggested him before that. Although the idea was not well met, I would someday like to see this character added to the wonderful line of Mithril Orcs.

FEMALE ASSASSIN OF DOL AMROTH
In keeping with the upcoming release of the Knights of Dol Amroth, I think it would be interesting to have a member from the underground of that society. I see her in a cape and leather gear, light and allowing for stealthy movement. She would have her hood thrown back with hair exposed and dagger held upright in a striking position.
More details will follow
