... I see too Arvedui with a beard on his face like Argeleb II for example, this would be a good miniature. It may already have been answered (please point me there if I missed it), but I'm curious for the reason why so many Dúnadan monarchs are shown bearded (not only in minis, the movies were active in this department as well). I ask because we have a note from Tolkien that those men descended from an elvish ancestor (e.g. the Dúnadan kings as well as the princely line of Dol Amroth) showed a distinct beardlessness. In addition I cannot remember of any Númenórean king being described as bearded by Tolkien. Is this artistic license because bearded monarchs might look more dignified? Thanks Thomas

that may come from a comparison with the arthurian nobility and even french knighthood maybe in general in which mustaches and beards are a symbol both of manhood but of fame or ranking in the society....
Besides, putting beards on "human" nobility distinguish them from Elven nobility...

Besides, putting beards on "human" nobility distinguish them from Elven nobility... I imagined something in this respect of artistic license from the original. Anyone having experiences in fixing such things, e.g. with a fine Dremel tool (or anything else suitable)? Thanks Thomas

I´ll keep out of this discussion. Hopefully this fellowship and it´s parental company will survive although they don´t seem to be very creative to manage it. Much was written. A lot of good ideas how to stay alive. I`m sure some of those might work if picked up by Mithril /PA.
This month I don´t refuse to suggest but I will support Arvedui.

I suggest the Dorwinian wine trader one more.
I agree with bombadil1963 and keep out of this discussion. I'm not sure if this is the right place here. to write: no suggestion, no vote is ok, but all that talking should be in another place.
I hope that this crisis will not destroy the GF. Though for me at the moment I have to keep an eye on my expenses too like all people at the moment, I think. I was used to buy every single release 1 at least, the ones I liked most double and more.

Surely the immediate 'crisis' has been resolved? The new M range prices have been reduced...

Lately I've been a little disappointed with my membership for voting anything this month -or to start suggesting just now. In spite that, when joining the Fellowship, I actually didn't expect any high participation request, I must admit I wouldn't either imagined the Fellowship being just a club of restricted-series pre-orderers and no more. My membership seems to be wanted just for ensuring Mithril a purchasing rate. I was agree with such a commitment (otherwise I wouldn't have joined it), but sincerely I expected something else.
No, I'm not voting this month.

As for me I will vote this month, though I supported Gildor's boycot at once. But as certain troubles seem to have been settled by now there's no reason for me any more not to take part in voting again. About suggesting ... that's a different thing. Anyway, why not ... doing it again ...
Tarannon Falastur
I think it's time for a king: The 12th King of Gondor and first of the 'Ship-kings'. Imho this could be a wonderful figure to complement the "Berúthiel-vignette". let me quote please:... and that King Tarannon had her sent set on a ship alone with her cats and set adrift in the sea before a north wind. The ship was last seen flying past Umbar under a sickle moon with a cat at the masthead and another as a figure-head on the prow. (The Lord of the Rings, Appendix A,I,ii and iv)Now let me explain, please. So far we have a lot of Gondorian figures. But still there's no king.So why not give [tar'annon] a chance? The first "ship-king" of Gondor. Imagine him standing aboard one of his vessels ... contemplating the seas at Umbar or elsewhere. The figure might even fit well into those of collectors and diorama-builders who still are busy with painting all those Corsairs .... You might also mind the link between a GF-vignette and the GF-captain, even the GF-Cirdan could be linked here, as well as the regular Cor-sair releases. Let's have a new start with a Gondorian fleet.

Yes crisis resolved so let's get back to supporting the GF I too will now throw in my suggestion for this month. The character may have been suggested before, not by me I hasten to add if it has been, but here goes: BALDOR, SON OF BREGO I see a figure on his knees head thrown back in anguish/fear and arms outstretched in hoplessness as the ill-fated Baldor realises that he has met his doom in the haunted Halls of Dunharrow where he would lay undisturbed until found by Aragorn and the Grey Company. As per the book he would be clad in mail and his ornate helm would still be on his head while at his side his broken sword (The Passing of the Grey Company) lies on the floor.

This month's suggestion from me is:
The Lady of Nightingales, an Eldarin Lady
(Aka "I can't believe its not Luthien")
The Elf maiden is tall and beautiful and dressed in woodland garb as befits one who dwells amongst the Grey Elves. The Lady of Nightingales is depicted here out on her long quest to rescue her lover from captivity. She wears a long fur cloak, and perhaps feathers in her hair. She is beautiful and winsome and she is facing into the cold north wind.
She carries a bow loosely in her left hand, and is shading her eyes with her right.

Wonderful suggestion, Gavin. If her hair is waving in the wind as well I would vote for her !

Troll Champion of the North Serving as a commader under the Witchking, this troll helped destroy Cardolan. Wearing a chain shirt hung with heavy metal scales and a helm this troll is inspired by the cover art from MERP module "Rangers of the North" the picture can also be seen on the meccg "Rogrog"

Just on a whim...
I suggest Lord of the Eagles
He is wearing the crown received from Dain after the Battle of Five Armies. He could be a bit bigger than the M-series since they have to be large enough to carry a man. The pose would be completely at the discretion of the esteemed sculptor.
