This time you can have TWO (2) votes as this is a combination of December and January months due to our holidays.
The ideas are amazing and with 21 ideas, perhaps the most choice we have had in years, you will be spoiled for choice.
The vote ends on the 18th and the second round will begin the next day.
This is a blind vote, so you will not see the status of the current vote until AFTER you submit your votes. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST USE YOUR TWO VOTES AT THE SAME TIME or you will LOSE the option.

Hi, I'm new to this club, please, "The ideas presented are supported by images? Where can see these pictures? Thanks

There are no pictures. Picture-supported suggestions are pretty rare nowadays. This means if you can produce a good concept art for your idea, you will have a headstart :-)

Two of the entries have artwork associated with them: for Troll champion of the North see the cover of MERP module rangers of the North or see the meccg RogRog for the art that inspired the idea. And someone posted another link to support Theobald´s idea: tolkiengateway.net/w/images/thumb....n_the_F air.jpg A quite nice picture by Jan Pospisil. I guess he mus be a czech artist.

A varied and impressive list of suggestions, and there are one or two that hold no interest for me. Like our new friend No5tril, I'm opting for Hirluin and Dunhere.

After loosing for just one vote to the beast, here we try it again:
"Very fair was her face, and her long hair was like a river of gold. Slender and tall she was in her white robe girt with silber; but strong she seemed and stern as steel, a daughter of kings. Thus Aragorn for the first time in the full light of day beheld Eowyn, Lady of Rohan, and thought her fair, fair and cold, like a morning of pale spring that is not yet come to womanhood."
Eowyn, it is for me.
And the other vote goes to...

For me it´s Hirluin and Grimbeorn. I really don´t know why I never had the son of Beorn in my mind when I was squeezing my brain to have some interesting idea for the fellowship. But as I love the idea of Hirluin for he was brave and true I must confess - like I did before - that I really love all the people of the North. Like the Forodrim, Rohirrim, People of Esgaroth and Dale, Dunedain of the North, Breelanders and . . . Beornings.

There is only one man more valuable than a hero to found a legend: a fallen hero . . . Imagine: a king and 300 (!!!!!!!!) of his warriors against a hundred-times-outnumbering army! Greetings to Leonidas I. of Sparta !!! Wanderer, if you come to Sparta, tell them that you saw us lying here . . .

Since this is supposed to be secret... my third option would be (and will be supported in case my votes failed): strikingly the MEWLIP

Like many I agree that these are excellent choices, most any of which I will buy.
But I must vote for Dunhere, a Lord of Rohan. And as I am a balanced sort (or so I choose to believe) I will give my other vote to a bad guy, Ufthak, the Orc, who was trapped and eaten by Shelob.

Goblins and Trolls! And so many to choose from! God help me, but I LOVE THEM! I'm also glad to see that someone has finally suggested the idea of Grima sticking that turncoat Saruman. The current Wormtongue isn't bad but looks a little sedated...like someone waiting in line at Burger King. I'd love to see that back-stabbing, larcenous, perverted worm driving a dagger into his master's back. Yeeeah! Course, I like pretty, pretty Eowyn too. Wonderful suggestions, one and all! If my boys don't make it, I'm voting for beauty and beast, or snake and traitor, or maybe just all monsters! GRRRRRRR!!!

I was just looking over all the suggestions again. That Mewlip thing is rather interesting and likely a first time suggestion. I like HWolf's description too. The creature might be some sort of aquatic Troll that feeds primarily on fish and snakes but would readily accept an unwary traveler for dinner. Or maybe it's some sort of unidentified monster that only a few Haflings have seen. Could make for a really nice miniature!

AHHHH, so a Mewlip is a sort of old Troll that has lost all its teeth and hair. What??? Actually, as far as monsters go, it's not bad at all. However, the creature looks somewhat sad to me. Perhaps they will make the next one more intimidating. Thanks Axel.

Well, the existing one is definitely kind of vintage. For that age he goes with a pretty small ebay-price - if you can find him. I am sure a newer version would be most interesting - the only problem is which other mini we would have to sacrifice for it.
Anway, getting some mythical (Tolkien-specific, non "Silmarillion only") beasts into the line is imho a good idea.

I wouldn't mind adding a vintage Mewlip and a new one to my collection. The description of these creatures is vague, so I'd have more freedom and fun painting it. I'll certainly keep my eye out for one. I actually like all of the suggestions made for December and January. Each has its own appeal. I don't know if there are any real sacrifices to be made. I mean what fails to win this month might be voted in the following month or later. You explained it to me before. Timing and mood is very important. And a little luck goes a long way. You know I used to feel kind of bummed when my suggestions received little or no support. Now, even if I only receive a single vote, it makes me feel good inside knowing that at least one other person is on the same page with me. I hope others see it that way too. This is supposed to be fun after all.

I too liked bombadil1963's choices of Hirluin and Grimbeorn and they both received my vote. An outstanding number of suggestions to vote for this time around. Congrats to all who have made these suggestions.

hi collector fellows!
thanks for all that discussion about the new release possibility of the Mewlip. I will surely suggest the monster again another month.
By the way, have you seen that the vintage one is still available and not at ebays... It is still in the holy halls of Mithril/prince August ireland Look at 32mm 'M'series -> rare stuff, page 2 - there is the ugly guy for anybody who might be interrested...
Cheers and happy new year! hwolf

I was looking at that. Yes, I might pick one up. And I hope to see a new Mewlip added to the line soon.
Monsters! There's nothing like a shrieking horde of blood-thirsty monsters, marching in step and at proper intervals of course, to remind us why we should fear the night. Speaking of which, let's not forget Golfimbul and his adversary, "Bullroarer" Took! I realize just about any stout Orc could serve as Golfimbul, so I suggest we make him a little different from the current stock.
Description: Golfimbul was a short and very broad Orc, almost as wide as he was tall. He was bow-legged, with stumpy but muscular legs. His arms were disproportionately long and ape-like...I'm talking about a real real knuckle walker! His helmet (described earlier) covered the upper half of his face and back of his neck. Chainmail covered his torso and waist. No shoes of course. He charges head first, mouth wide open, displaying a formidable array of crooked fangs. He swings a heavy, two-headed battle axe above his head.
Naturally, Golfimbul would not be complete without his lean, lanky Bullroarer. A beautiful contrast in body types and a perfect pair for a vignette! It's like Abott vs. Costello! Come on now!

I remember Golfimbul from the first suggestion some years back, titled "The invention of Golf"
I think Mithril missed a chance this winter (again) by offering "dual suggestions" which would be done in two consecutives month. There are a lot of interactions of two characters that make up two good individual minis and an even better composition when placed together. Such a "duo" would be Golfimbul and Bullroarer - both sculpted the fraction of a second before the great event (the invention of Golf). As is, it seems that Bullroarer will make the second round, while wicked old Golfimbur wont. Anyway, finding a replacement for him will be easier then for that most famous Hobbits (well, before the Baggins came around, at least).
