Here's what I'd like to see: - RPG figures officially or unofficially supporting the forthcoming One Ring Roleplaying Game. Examples: - Young Northman warrior (in mail)
- Dwarven scholarly character
- Female Dorwinadan adventurer (perhaps some sort of bard)
- Beorning (female) healer
- (male) Wood Elf or Grey Elven adventurer
(though it occurs to me you could make male and female "adventurer" type characters from each of the four big "races" - Mithril classic release of such RPG type figures post M300 such as the Elf Girl, the Northman Adventurer and the Dwarven Travellers* - A Grey Company series, featuring a mailed Aragorn in an action pose, the sons of Elrond in their Ranger garb (with elven mail**) beneath and Halbarad on foot. Include four Ranger of the North poses and we are golden. - A re-release under Mithril Classics or a similar imprint of all the post M300 Orcs AND a set of four or five "shield packs" for 10 euro or so per pack - Minas Morgul, Mordor, Dol Guldur, Moria and/or Mirkwood. - A re-release of all Gondorian and Rohan soldier types post M300 (including the Gondor Warband) with a few shield packs. A Dale shield pack could transform Rohan figures into Dale or Laketown warriors; maybe another shieldpack could transform the Gondor warriors into Arnorian soldiers. So I do want some new things, but really I want more availability, even in limited quantities of old things for new collectors. And me, cos I really need another 7 Gondorian archers.

I repeat a serie that I desperately desire
RHOVANION
-Vidugavia, king of Rhovanion -Vidumavi with child Eldacar -Royal Guard Rhovanion (2) -Horseman archer Rhovanion -Warrior with sword fighting with easterling -Marhwini, the last king, on horse -Pedaler with mule loaded with wine -Elderly seer sitting at table with glass sphere -Vagabond asking money with a plate
Besides armed troops would do well to include common characters of a city, as the vagabond or woman seer, as claimed by those who are like the dioramas. The peddler selling wine represent one of the typical products of this region. Soldiers of Rhovanion can also be used as Rohirrin, not in vain were their ancestors, which would be much use to the serie.
What all our wishes are fulfilled, folks!
Regards.

what I'd like to see..... more than 10 mithril M releases (without a S or X after the M) per year, and if possible... not always armies (i'm not asking much...)

what I'd like to have ... Gildor mentioned it precisely in the last entry. So, I can only support his appeal and with that I'm not asking for much either.

Gildor is right concerning M series. There are too few this year.
Life is nice on Middle earth, why should new releases always be fighting oponnents? Eowyn in dress would be very nice for instance.
I would like to see more M series with no weapons yes, that is my wish.
With S or X , I would rather some peacefull vignettes:
Rosy with sam's children Sam cooking a rabbit Thranduil on his throne. Elrond healing Frodo.

Well, to be frank, the saga of Middle-earth has been one great series of conflicts. Wars, betrayals, destruction. Armies and captains and kings arrayed against the darkness.
The Shire is a little island of peace in a wider world. Most of the "action" we see involves warriors and hardship. Which is why most of the figures we see involve warriors and weaponry.
The Shire is nice. Everyone else has to deal with civil wars and famines and dark winters and dragons and dispossession and struggle.
And we've had Thranduil on his throne.

I know I will be disappointed again, but I try it again. I have to!
A group of wandering Noldo-elves under the stars of Eriador. Walking along through the night, singing to the honour of Elbereth Gilthoniel, watching the stars, talking to each other about old tales of the great past of their kindred! It would be nice to see 8 - 9 individuals. Walking in pairs or alone. Staring in the sky or looking to their neighbour who may sing or tell a story . . .
And I love Aelfwine´s idea of the Grey Company. We´ve got Thorin´s at least. So, why not another great one?
But there are still other people of the North waiting for their release: the Lossoth! I would like to see these rough people in all-day-sceneries: a man caring for the sledge dogs, a hunter coming home from hunting seals, a caught seal across his shoulders, a woman cooking tran oil in a big pot, an old man carving a harpoon head. A warrior training a young man how to through a spear. Children teasing dogs. Such things.

An M series
|
|
|
Post by Axel on Aug 8, 2010 20:25:31 GMT
An M series (including ten releases) per month
Apart from that: - The council of Elrond - Warlords & Armies of Gondor (Lord and one typical soldier per province) - Fauna of Middle Earth (all the iconical animals) - Warriors of the Ringwar (a typical soldier of each major faction) - Vignettes with typical scenes
Play around a bit with the variety of Middle Earth, showing different Elven or Dwarven cultures.

STATIC VS DYNAMIC
The only wish that i really have is that any piece produced by Mithril may have a dinamic use in a RPG tactical situation or large battle game. Being a RPG game collector, i have no interest in a more "static" collection like vignette that may not be split in single usable pieces or particular "named" caracter repeated in many poses.
I also hope that new pieces will be really "new" and not a remake of an old subject already available.
Missing "dinamic" pieces for large battles game: 1) haradrim standard bearer 2) alternate Rohirrim horseman (M26-31 set has too small horses and only M264 actually exist) 3) Easterling (Sagat and Asdriag) foot and horsemen 4) alternate Haradrim horsemen (only M293 exist)

No interest in 54mm on my side. :-(
And yes: per month. As in the good old times, around 1988, when every month saw a new release. Memories...

alas I don't think 54mm is still supported by Mithril... for technical reasons... packaging and also the price of metal... If you consider that 32mm figurines currently cost the price of what the 54mm used to cost... It would not be a good deal to even produce 54mm in small quantities... (even the christmas figurines are no more 54mm...) Even if I myself Love 54mm figurines About suggestions and wish list, I'd like to point people to the suggestions and polls I organize on my MMP forum... so far we have had quite a lot of interesting suggestions and the vote is in progress... there is no winner, no loser, the vote is only there to make "statistics" on what are the most desired suggestions (you are free to vote for as many suggestions as you want) these polls will influencate Chris Tubb next productions eventually since this poll was HIS idea... If you are not yet registered to the MMP forum, and want to participate, please do so you are free to join the MMP community the link : mithril.faerylands.eu category : MMP

My 1st post, but I would like to see a range of Dunlendings. I know there are a few scattered throughout various ranges, but I would like a few more:-
Unarmoured Dunlending scout, mounted. Mailed Dunlending chieftain, mounted Armoured Dunlending bodyguard Dunlending hunter with a brace of pheasants/rabbits Unarmoured Dunlending archer Dunlending tribeswoman walking Dunlending tribeswoman fighting with spear & shield. Dunlending tribeswoman tending cauldron (could make these to 3 wise-women, teen, mature & crone for a possible group of witches ala MacBeth's "Witches of Cawdor"). Dunlending guard with captured Rohan woman & child Dunlending boy shepherd armed with sling or staff, and dog (mastiff or wolfhound). Dunlending drover with horse & cart. Unarmoured Dunlending champion armed with either a two-handed club or axe.
Gildor, thanks for your link. I tried to access the forums but unfortunately got the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
