Mae govannen,
I opened again and again this side, but I cannot decide, which range I would like to see first.
Some of them seem to be my own ideas, but all of the suggestions are great.
Maybe Mithril should think about his customers who are not only wargamers, not only diorama builders and not only collectors, but a mix up of this.
I think there should be some series usefull for tabletop wargaming (definitly NO ONE) can tell me which miniatures I will use for tabletop wargaming in Middle-earth, even if there are licenses!!!!!! ( so do not worry about not calling a range "warband").
On the other hand in Tengwar and when talking to fans you have to realize, that many love minis of children, women and so on and that's exactly what makes Mithril so special and makes Middle Earth come to life. Most miniatures (Fantasy Sci fi and so on) are some kind of fighters or warriors (even if they are priests they are part of armies). Mithril offers much more, so that you should keep an eye on it, producing civilians (e.g. Bree is a quite good series like the prancing pony).
The new MERP characters are quite fine, because they offer some characters for wargaming in Eriador/Arnor (e.g. Orc Shaman/cultist, Dunnish scout..) and something for the collector and the diorama builder.
There are even some minis usefull as civilians (like Malbeth or the Dunedain female mage). Even the wargamer needs some civilians to protect (or hunt and kill if you are the bad guy player).
I think the ideas above are much more important than the theme itself.
Maybe I will vote for an unusal series, as I hate having lots of alternatives. For example I have two complete different Gondorian armies, one Mithril ( with some additions) and the other made of minis from a company in Nottingham and lots of Gandalfs, Aragorns and so on. That's not useful in collecting as this eats money.
I hope this "brain storming" will be useful for your meeting with Chris, Michael.
HAVE A NICE PATRICK'S DAY
