I want your input in what should be added to a possible Mithril or Prince August page on these sites. www.bebo.comwww.facebook.com/If any of you have accounts with these sites perhaps send me link via email or post it here so we can have a look at the options. Or if you know other business sites that utilize social networking sites successfully then please pass on the info. We want these future sites to properly reflect the Lotr theme and also make them fun to use.

Hiya
I have a Bebo account, a facebook account and a myspace account.
Now, Facebook gets the most use because it has my various far flung friends on it. However, facebook's privacy settings mean that it would be harder to use facebook to "expose" the Mithril brand.
Myspace would be far easier. Various authors, artists, companies and so on use Myspace pages as a sort of interactive webpage/messenging centre and advertising point. You can "post bulletins" which your entire friends list can see. In Mithril's terms, these would be people on your mailing list you can import onto your friends list. Pretty simple all 'round.
As for Bebo, I really don't use it very much. I couldn't really say what advantages the site would have.
Gavin

Hello Michael, I am sorry, I cannot help. I never used this websites of bebo and facebook, maybe because I have to use databases for my researches heavily and so I want to spend my free time without any computers - well there are lots of Mithril figures, which needs some paint . Best wishes estel

Forget Bebo (I'll be honest, I've never even heard of Bebo - is it a sort of plague?) and Facebook - what about putting a Mithril video on YouTube? Just take a look at the GW "war of the Ring" 'trailer' there and you'll see how impressive a fundamentally simple vid could be, whether as a profile-enhancing promotional device or a powerful sales tool: www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?community=&catId=cat1290003&categoryId=4400003&aId=12800007One of the problems I find in talking to people is that most have never even heard of the Mithril LOTR range, or think it 'went out of business' decades ago. Something certainly needs to be done to put Mithril back in the public eye.

It is not directly related, but... Maybe it would be nice to have some history facts and pictures about Mithril miniatures and/or Prince Agust on the Wikipedia...
