We have listened to many of your comments about the Oliphaunt and have made it real. Many of you have been asking for an Oliphaunt for years. Now we will be adding more about the release over the next few weeks and on the newsletter so keep your eyes peeled. Have a look at the box cover (I made it myself and am rather pleased with it) Lets here you views.

That Mumak looks very sharp, and I think the size is pretty much spot on (and all metal? I wouldn't want anyone to thwack me over the back of the head with it, that's for sure ). The box cover is very funky - a good choice of foreground/bit in the middle and background - I wouldn't like to be those rangers (or, if I spy correctly, that rather ambitious hobbit ;D). Of course, don't let it go to your head

Great news we were waiting for comming directly with the style of the box. Yep, Chris has finally made it! Thanks again!!! I was surprised about the 800 g of metal. Puh, pretty much. Hope it won't be to expensive . . . And I hope I will get one

Well it has been released today for only 39.95 Euro.
We even celebrated it's release with massive saving on other figures that can be used in conjunction with the Mumak. Gondorian Troops, Rohir Warriors, More haradran and Mordor orcs, and Faramir's rangers.
All in all it should make everyone happy. WE have been printing out your wish lists and discussing what is to come next so keep your suggestions coming.
Happy 24th Sept.

Great Oliphant! The proportions seem just as described in the book. (Not insanely big with too many tusks.) GW's Mumak is $65 and I believe pretty much all plastic, so 40 Euro is more than competitive (well, plus shipping ). The box is nice because it shows the people and hobbits to scale.

Glad you like the box cover. I wanted to make the picture as interesting as possible. There was a comment a while back that our covers were showing their age so we decided a more realistic version was called for.
Chris will be delighted you find the oliphaunt so perfect. Postage is always an unfortunate cost, we try to find ways to reduce these costs but they are largely outside our control. ;D

The beast came crashing through the leter box today! The Mumak. First thoughts on this piece are very positive, although the actual casting looks smaller than the built up box art appears, I think the scaled size compared to a man is probably what Tolkien had in mind, while I have no complaints about the Mumak designs for the film, they are ridiculously large even allowing for visual impact on the big screen.
The figures are nice also, I particularly like the spearman (no chances of expanding on that design?) as is the war tower, although I wish that could have been proportionally larger so a couple more figures could be added.
Should we dare to compare (with you know who)? I think not, this is a Mithril Mininiatures miniature done in the style we as collectors of Mithril figures have come to admire, sure it will not please everyone and comparisons will be made, if you like both versions, buy both and enjoy. I for one would like to give it a thumbs up. Now where is the glue!!
Thanks to all involved.

Thanks to all involved. I want to push for more haradran if I can, with more on the Gondor battle, and perhaps some Corsairs as well. Their is feedback from Chris, he wants to expand next with a vignette. So we will be reading heavily all those suggestions that were given. Glad you like the Oliphaunt. GW will always differ, they are stuck with making copies from the films while we make originals. (

Hello Michael, as I can see has Mithril change the price for the Mumak in assembled and painted - now 159,00 Euros - before 99,00 Euros. I think 159,00 Euros is the right price. I have finished now my Mumak and need 30 hours to paint and assembled - many time. The box and the quality from casting are realy great! I had many pleasure with the painting and assembling. Also the box, the single pieces and the descriptions are excellent! Many thanks to Mithril and Chris Tubb to make this fantastic miniature!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have finished now my Mumak and need 30 hours to paint and assembled - many time. The price was adjusted as soon as we realised that we had made a miscalulation. Sorry for any confusion this caused. We simply could not realisitally sell a complete oliphaunt for such a low price. The 159 Euro is correct.
