We are considering selling trees and flocking, etc for model building. This could be useful for making battlegrounds. Would you think this is a good idea.
Let us know what you want to buy for accessories.

I don´t think that this will be a good idea. There are many other places in Shops and in www. where we can buy it (and with cheaper prices for shipping if you don´t live in Ireland or England). Better will be to specialized in something. For example to sell the moulds from Hirst Arts (difficult to buy in Europe). And please sell other paint- brushes too (not only synthetics), minimum in Size 00000.

I do not use a lot of products like trees and flocking but if I did I could probably find it elsewhere. What I would like to see available is weapons and shields.

Typical scynery is easty to find everywere. I will love to see some accesories from Tolkiens world that we can use with mithril miniatures.
ex.
Hobbit doors, tables, chairs, shields, prancing poney signs, flags (Rohan, gondor, orcs), animals.
And looking far ahead, houses (Prancing poney, rivendel...)
I will stop dreaming now.

Perhaps it would make sense to start with something modest, like bringing back the dungeon moulds, with a few extra "bits" - such as ruined building moulds. Then some Tolkienic metal bits - such as the Chamber of Mazarbul doorway - with the Mithril brand. You could have something like summit of Amon Hen, or a Hollin ruin or whatever, which could be cast in metal and slotted into the "generic" Prince August "ruin" set, to give it a particularly Mithril flourish. Another possibility would be to make some sort of deal with the Amera Plastic Mouldings people: www.amera.co.uk/ to have a cross selling deal. their stuff is a: very nice and b: rather Tolkienic, actually. Some of the pieces would be better reinforced somehow, though... All in all, having some sort of third party product sold in support of the Mithril and Prince August range (ala the paint range) would be a good idea. Gavin

I think it would be worth to try it. I do not use either threes or other stuff to build up a diorama (not ime, no talent, i tried it ) but for all the very good builders out there it is maybe a good alternative not to convert other things from different publishers just getting everything from Mithril/PA.

I do not think that Mithril should try to sell scenery, like trees, terrain, or anything like that. I feel that accessories that are based on Lord of the Rings would be good, like the Bree table set, and the chamber of marzarbul pieces. I feel that making a few blister packs of various shields for different races would offer some variation in different armies. For the Harad, you could have the different shields that were drawn in the Tengwar issue. And maybe come up with different shields for Rohan, because most of them are the same. I would like to see some shields done for the elves, because I am pretty sure that that has not been done yet. The vignettes offer great accessories as well, so I feel that Mithril should stick with creating top quality miniatures instead of attempting to make scenery. (I cant wait to see the new vignettes, I dont think I will be able to wait much longer ;D

We were not going to make the scenery but act as distributors for other sources of such products to expand our market and provide useful items to aid diorama building. we are still compiling useful producers. We will have accessories packs available in March with shields and swords, etc. This will be part of our clearance stock. The vignettes should arrive in our factory from Chris next week as well.

I don't know about houses but accessories like chairs and more shields, the PP sign is good although I am not sure how many 'different' dioramas can be made with a set sign. Perhaps a generic sign that you could paint yourself to allow for wider uses.

I would like to see houses, inns, Tolkien scenes rather than trees and that sort of thing.

Regarding the comment made by Michael on 2-18-05: We will have accessories packs available in March with shields and swords, etc. This will be part of our clearance stock.
Does this mean that another round of clearance items will be available in March?
