All members can comment on the promotion here. The promotion will run for 2 months only. Anyone who is interested will be asked to sign up before the 3rd week of September. Then they will be given access to the forum in October and November. If any member does not join the gold status membership before the last week of November will be removed from the forum, the newsletters and will no longer be allowed to purchase any fellowship figures.
Bronze lever members will not get the Aragorn and the Palantir figure or the Tengwar magazines when they join. They will only acquire them when they upgrade.
there are many Mithril customers who have a great interest in LotR and mithril but have not committed to the idea of joining the fellowship. We aim to encourage those collectors to try out the club and see for themselves how enjoyable it is.

I am not familiar with merchandising at all ... But it seems to be an idea/attempt that could turn out to be successful (in terms of getting new GF members). There's just one problem with it, I think. What then will be the Silver Level Membership ? ;D Keep on !

Anything to promote interest gets my vote as it may lower GF prices in the long-term, plus it does sound like a good idea on its own merits.
I would hope though that regular ranges would appear a little more frequently to keep the interest of those new and/or undecided collectors out there who may be swayed by this experiment to join in the fun.

It's a good idea - but I'd also think you should look at a "year three" Fellowship set up where another hundred or so of the first year's miniatures are released, at a reduced price, available to anyone who wants the "bronze" membership. Or something like that.

I have no problem with the "bronze level" membership concept at all. Anything that helps promote enthusiasm for Mithril figures should be applauded and encouraged.

That's what I tried to say , barliman I just wanted to make fun of that silver between gold and bronce. London Underground always says 'Mind the Gap'. Now seriously: It's a great idea !!!

Excellent Idea! I hope many will come and support this. If only for two months.

I support the idea of a bronze membership. I think every try to make the club growing is a good try.

well I think it is a very good idea, but the name.... as is said above, tends to make us ask "and what is silver level?"

I suppose that with the bronze level being an experiment as such it then leaves Mithril an opportunity to refine the experiment and create a Silver level if things go well.

That sounds quite reasonable, ddaines. I do hope this concept will be successful

Perhaps silver level will be able to only buy the figs, but not make suggestions and vote?

silver is above bronze and should thus have an advantage over bronze, not a disadvantage well, logically
