As many long term members know from previous years, Mithril has holidays during the Christmas period and therefore it causes some problems running the votes as no-one is available to send newsletters, start and stop the votes, etc during the latter part of December. Normally I run two different themes during these months, for example I asked for a good and evil suggestion per member, and ran two voting polls in January to decide on both winners.
However this year due to new updates on the forum I can offer a simplier and more open solution. I can allow each member to choose two options instead of one when voting. Therefore I would simply select all the suggestions in December and in January I would run ONE vote and each member could choose 2 favourite suggestions.
What do you think of these options! I favour the latter idea as it is easier for me to run it and simpler for members to participate in.

The one vote with two options in January would be fine with me. But it should be made sure that those two votes for two suggestions cannot be concentrated on only one figure.
As you mentioned Christmas, Michael, I would like to ask if there are any plans for a Christmas figure in 2008. - I do know that Chris Tubb is extremely busy for quite a while now, I'm just asking you to keep us collectors informed about this matter. In case the answer is "No" that will be alright, as we all know the reasons. I (and some others) just would like to know. Thank you.

Yes, the two votes for two figures option seems the best approach to me as well. Nice and simple!

two votes for each member sounds good to me as well, but I echo Theobald's concern that it be two seperate vote for different figures, not the ability of voting for the same figure twice!

I really did like the "Good guy/ Bad Guy" theme that we had last year and I did hope that we would do it again this year. But it looks like many members are willing to try this new two votes for two choices idea, so I will support it as well and hope for the best.

Sounds good for me, and what shadyt says is a great idea, as I would like to see more evil figures made.

No problem for me. And I also support very much the GoodGuy/Bad Guy idea. Let's do it! Best regards Alex (Stift)

Two votes for seperate figures.
Good guy and bad guy.
Though they can be themed together.

As I (and others) pointed out last time it was done, specifying one good guy and one bad guy limits members' choices too much. If anyone wants more bad guys, then surely all they have to do is just suggest two bad guys! - I can't see the problem. If they both win, they both win.

I have decided to go with the latter idea of giving all members 2 votes in one Poll. Thanks for your feedback. I will mention the idea that you can suggest a good guy and bad guy for Dec and Jan but it will be a free for all when it comes to voting.
