There is plans for a christmas figure, according to Chris, however as we have not received it yet, I do not know yet when it will be released or what that figure will be.

Thank you Michael for keeping us informed. So still there might be a chance for a nice surprise to keep up a dear tradition.

The figure will be Sharkey (saruman) as he travels to the Shire to enact his revenge. It will be 32mm scale again.

I think that's a great choice! And a figure long overdue. Kudos to team Mithril!

Sounds good, and 32mm even better! Someone had best suggest 'Worm' then to go with him ;D
I know 32mm isn't as popular as 54mm for the Xmas figures from some collectors point of view, but Thranduil was a really nice sculpt last year.
So we know what the Christmas figure is going to be, but has the cat got your tongue Micheal ;)about the next M range release which was going to be announced......

Excellent choice, indeed. First of all I'm relieved that the tradition of Christmas figures seems to continue. Meanwhile I came to the conclusion that a reduction in size might match my problems providing those figures in some of my glass cabinets The last Christmas figure was excellent, no doubt. So, I really do appreciate that compromise as I still like the idea of a special figure each year ... with an antique finish. Somehow I got used to it since 1994 (not mentioning year 2005). Keep on, please

Me, I loved, loved, loved Thranduil.
The one in plate armour is lovely and all, and he will take pride of place in the Battle of the Five Armies diorama (soon as its, y'know, painted!) but I don't really like the plate armour look in a figure I'd use a lot. And the Elf King figure is gorgeous, but oddly static. The Christmas Thranduil was a perfect replacement.

Yeah thranduil was perfect and though I like 54mm, it was fine in 32mm... Will it be available in antique finish if we choose it? like thranduil?

Great news. Sharkey missed the fellowship incarnation on some occasions, so I love to see him now as companion for dear old Nikolaus :-)

I just saw the "Sharkey" figure in the newsletter and have to say that it is brilliant. So a good Mithril tradition of Christmas figures is kept up. Great! I'm looking forward to holding that piece in my hands. Thank you Chris and team Mithril.

So here Sharkey is at my place. A wonderful and very detailed figure (the ornaments of the garment of previous Sarumans are well recognizable). The pose is perfect. Alas, this was a part of my Christmas traditions for so many years : a Mithril Christmas figure. And this year once again, it arrived in time. So I simply enjoy. The only thing I can do now is: first to thank you, team Mithril and, of course, Chris Tubb for this. Second I wish all of you a nice holiday, a Merry Cristmas, and a Happy New Year.
