Death of Boromir arrived today, it is a beautiful vignette in its own right from figures to the highly detailed base complete with shattered horn and dead orcs. I am tempted to add a Legolas & Gimli to complete the scene and I may add to the tree stump - I haven't refered to the passage in the book so I can't recall if it is a full tree or a stump as Chris has provided. If this is the shape of things to come Sauron & Co. should be something else (I expect the price will be as well, but we voted for it) and I for one can't wait. Well done Chris & Mithril. David.

Chris cannot make an entire tree that we can cast in metal. Or if we did, just imagine the cost of a metal TREE. A tree stump is the only solution.

Totally agree - it wasn't a complaint (nor was the price reference) by the way, I actually forgot to mention what a good job Chris has done with the stump - this doesn't always come off well in miniature as some of the larger scale figures by other manufacturers have found. I would feel guilty to obliterate what is provided but may take a stamp mould to get the texture and make a slightly bigger tree from wire and magic sculpt just to bring my composition together.

Yeah, I wasn't complaining, either. To me, the stump is the tree -- the rest of it just exists in the imagination.
