:oCongrats to Wendy (for the idea) and Chris for the sculpt, this looks a superb figure (I am having trouble ordering it via the new web host though).
I particularly like the extra detail around the horses hoofs - not sure what a horses ankles are called - this does give the appearence of a rugged horse living an outdoor life.
Painted up this will be a nice piece, lots of details etc.
A+ ;D

Fetlocks.
No, I'm not being rude - that's what a horse's 'ankle' areas are called. Quite agree re the figure. This looks to be one of Chris's best. Can't wait for mine to arrive (I gave up trying to order via the Mithril online page and sent an email order instead...)!

I thought it was fetlocks but the brain was too tired! I had to order the same way - I hope this won't be a regular problem with online ordering. Michael has carried out a few tests and the system apparently works now.

Definitively it is not working. I made an email order also.

I ordered a few days ago online and it worked just fine. I received an email from Mithril right away confirming the order and also again when it was shipped.

Ditto here. I ordered Halbarad in the usual way and encountered no problems at all.

Hey,
I ordered Sauron, some of the older dwarves and - at least - Halbarad: this definitely didn´t work! I don´t know w h a t happened and I asked Mary-Ann about possible reasons. She only replied that she didn´t get the first order and for the second one she asked for my credit card number again. I´m a little bit afraid someone´s phishing for numbers!

Oh,
I don´t want to be misunderstood! Therefore I have to add that I don´t mean that any of the employees of Mithril or PA is phishing! But there are a lot of news speaking about tricky phishing methods in e-commerce, with faked homepages and all that stuff. I want to ask if you did change the ordering-manners? Is it true that now I have to send my cc-number every time I order?
Happy New Year!

She only replied that she didn´t get the first order and for the second one she asked for my credit card number again. I´m a little bit afraid someone´s phishing for numbers! Roland Our website was changed to a new host and we also invested in a new SSL certificate for Mithril. There were some coding problems for a few days but they should be fine now. I have tested orders several times from different computers and they work. When you go to the payment page you can see that it has the www.mithril.ie/ part in the address. Also you should see a yellow 'locked' lock in the lower grey part of your Internet Brower (I.E) on the right bottom side showing it is secure. We have received orders from Mithril customers so I am baffled as to why some members have problems. Either it works or it does not, it cannot work for some and not for others. I have tested it in Internet Explorer 6. If you use a different type of browser then that may be a source of the problem. I will strive to find out what is the cause of the error if the problem persists. Now we have returned from our holidays we should have a quick response to any orders so please retry if you ordered anything in early December and have not gotten a response yet. If you ordered over Christmas please give us a few days to deal with all the current orders. For increased security we do not store customers credit card numbers anymore. So once you have paid for an order we delete that card information to protect your privacy. Also it helps keep payment information up to date.

Thanks, Michael!
Yes, my first order for Sauron and the dwarves (that didn´t work . . .) was in the beginning of December. For this I didn´t receive an answer but I get in contact with Mary-Ann. The other one, for Halbarad, was during your christmas holidays. So I will wait a week or two, what will happen!

Thanks a lot! A good start for 2006: Halbarad arrived! Very nice work! Congratulations to Chris! Shall I repeat the order for Sauron and the dwarven axemen (M370 and M371) or will he follow Halbarad soon?

;DHalbarad arrived today, what a great figure. Although I haven't opened it yet to examine in detail I do like the little points on this one, i.e. hand in bag, fetlocks textured (I hope Chris will continue this with other horses).

Yes, these fetlocks are new in the collection. I couldn't keep from smiling for a while because it's a brilliant idea. These are the fetlocks of a Shire horse. So we have the link to Tolkien directly at the horse's feet. ;D
Thanks, Chris
By the way, which other race of horses from the north could endure that much?
