This work is a very accurate pose based upon Faramir giving Eowyn a robe, refered to in the past tense in Chapter 5 of Book 6, "The Steward and the King:"
Early in the Chapter, Tolkien writes: "They were clad in warm raiment and heavy cloaks, and overall the Lady Eowyn wore a great blue mantle of the colour of deep summer-night, and it was set with silver stars about hem and throat. Faramir had sent for this robe and had wrapped it about her; and he thought that she looked fair and queenly indeed as she stood there at his side. This mantle was wrought for his mother, Finduilas of Amroth, who died untimely, and was to him but a memory of loveliness in far days and of his first grief; and her robe seemed to him raiment fitting for the beauty and sadness of Eowyn."
Thanks to the member who suggested this piece, and to Chris for creating it.

The vignette arrived today and looks just fine, I sometimes think that the advertising photos can be a bit deceiving although personally I didn't have any doubts anyway.
Eowyn maybe looks a bit glum perhaps due to the way CT has sculpted the line of the mouth, but these should look really nice when painted up. I'm just trying to figure how to paint those miniature stars on her mantle!
Perhaps a section of battlement or wall may really enhance this duo when it comes to painting them and mounting them on a base.
Thanks again to CT, Mithril and hwolf for the suggestion. Another great release.

Another great release. Thanks - although I do not know what you mean by deceiving photos? We show the actual figures. I take the best photo I can and add some nice backdrops if possible but the figures are not digitally altered. Eowyn may look a little glum, but you must recall the reasons. She is recovering from an injury, she worries about Aragorn, whom she still loves (although Aragorn did not encourage her) and this causes some difficulty for Faramir feelings, and they were still waiting for news about the battle in Mordor. If it went poorly then all was lost and they would, at best, be slaves, or at worst, food.

:)Hi Micheal, The photo comment was a comment in response to a related remark from another member elsewhere on another site, the message was simply copied into this site. I have found though that sometimes the light(?) on an image may cast shadows or give an impression of something that isn’t there. If you look at the b & w photo of Queen B, it can look as if she has something wrapped around the lower part of her face depending on how you interpret it (and how many drinks you have had maybe!). As to the ‘glum’ look on Eowyn’s face, quite right, after what she had been through she wouldn’t be smiling. I guess I was just overly concerned for Faramir’s feelings, after all he has just draped a precious keepsake of his mother over Eowyn’s shoulders and he could perhaps feel a little hurt if a glimmer of a smile of appreciation didn’t show through. As I said, this is another great release and no criticism intended. Roll on the next 12
