Woah - I can say honestly that I've been a huge fan of every Fellowship mini so far - but Thorin and the Arkenstone is, in my opinion, easily the best. The expressions, the poses, the detail are all spot on. I think it would be very easy to argue that Chris is in the top tier of artists who interpret Tolkien. Go Chris Go Ori Go Mithril !

Ditto Axe's comments.
This piece has the feel of a very sad and sombre occasion and the three figures all look as if they are feeling the pain and sadness of the event, the angle of the heads, the body language all look about right. You can just feel the pain and grief they are going through.
On paper we have Naismith, Lee and Howe, in 3D miniature we have Chris Tubb.
These figures have been produced by someone who cares about the subject and not just an artist carrying out another commissioned project. I'm not speaking on Chris's behalf of course, but it just comes out in his work.
This little scene would make for a lovely little diorama with a couple of enhancements and subtle lighting effects. I want it NOW! But I guess I will have to be patient for a little while longer.
David.

This figurine is great! I hope I will get it soon, I'd like to see the details on Thorin and the Arkenstone too!
By the way, Michael, as I see the reference for this one is MS453 and the last reference to date was MS442 does that mean that we have a scheduled plan (or references affected) for the next-to-come regular release (M443-M452) if so, I am really curious to know what it will be

They are going to include horse archers I believe. think Mongul raiders, or something similar. Fast and lethal.
