Seven of the eight submitted ideas are approved. Unfortunately the Boar on spit idea was deemed not really related to our license by Chris. I appreciate that we seek new ideas, but they must be related to the books. If you wish to expound on why the idea should be accepted (another month) you need to flesh it out more with a connection to the actual tales.
This poll will show the current status only after you have voted. Please take time to consider which idea you want to support. The top two or three ideas will go forward to the final round.
Ties between ideas in the first round can lead to the idea being brought forward but remember only one idea can ultimately win and in the final round ties will always be broken by Chris Tubb.

This month I would like to submit a special idea... I learned last week that our long time fellowship (and MMP) member, Ian "Barliman" Heath has passed away from cancer last february... he was 71... and a member of the mithril community and a die-hard collector since the beginning, long time supporter of Mithril, he had suggested several figurines and been active....
I would like to suggest a figurine to make a tribute to his memory... I Imagine him, as Barliman... his chosen avatar and character. He would be relieved, but exhausted Barliman at the end of the day, sat on a chair, with his apron and cap removed, cheering alone high with a mug of "scrumpy" in his hand to give a farewell… I would suggest to name the suggestion
"Farewell Barliman"

I hope that members of the forum will support this regardless of whether you knew Ian/Barli. It's the least us long-time patrons of The Pony can do. RIP Old Friend, may the pints you pull have rat's tails in them.

"Farewell Barliman" sounds like a sound suggestion. It will surely remind me of Barlimans contributions along the last 20 years here.
And while we are at it, this forum just turned 20 two weeks ago.
That said, we need our seven options, so I will resuggest the usually not so successfull
"Curious Fox" Wondering what three sleeping hobbits mean, he sniffs and never gets any wiser for it.

Wainrider man with whip
The appendices mentioned incursions of the Wainriders in Gondor from 1851 TA, for almost a century.
The appendices A mentionned that the Wainriders were a people, or confederacy, of Men from the East. They journeyed in great wagons, and their chieftains rode chariots in battle.
In the Unfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl and the Friendship of Gondor and Rohan", it states that they camped in fortified camps of wagons. Their young women were also trained in arms, and they, along with old men and youths, stayed behind, able to defend their homes from attackers.
The MZ670 Wainrider girl mounted is the very first miniature representing this people (2018 December votes).
To complete, I propose again and again) another Gypsy member : a man this time.
He is bearded and has long hair. His head could be covered with a bandana tied behind and he could wear a thick leather bolero, a wide fabric belt and boots. He could be armed with a whip that he wields in front of him and have a short scimitar passed through the belt.

No matter who you vote for, we need seven proposals to launch the voting phase.

Agent of Sauron
During their pursuit of the Orcs taking Merry and Pippin to Isengard, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli encountered Eomer and his riders on the plains of Rohan. Aragorn asked Eomer if the rumour of Rohan allying with Sauron was true. Eomer replied that Sauron had wanted to buy horses from Rohan but was refused as Sauron puts horses to 'evil work'.
What would an agent of Sauron be like? I would say Human, with an appearance that could be accepted and trusted by Men for purposes of trade - not too warlike in terms of armour and helmet, but still with an ambassadorial air that could be feared and respected.
