Thanks once again to all participants. All the ideas were accepted by Chris Tubb. The vote will last a week and you will see the current status of the poll after voting. One vote per member. The top two or three ideas will go forward to the final round on the 25th. Please include comments on why you favour one idea over another to help persuade other members.

Wainrider man with whipThis month I'm offering you a brand new idea that you've never read about here before... The appendices mentioned incursions of the Wainriders in Gondor from 1851 TA, for almost a century. The appendices A mentionned that the Wainriders were a people, or confederacy, of Men from the East. They journeyed in great wagons, and their chieftains rode chariots in battle. In the Unfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl and the Friendship of Gondor and Rohan", it states that they camped in fortified camps of wagons. Their young women were also trained in arms, and they, along with old men and youths, stayed behind, able to defend their homes from attackers. The MZ670 Wainrider girl mounted is the very first miniature representing this people (2018 December votes). To complete, I propose another Gypsy member : a man this time. He is bearded and has long hair. His head could be covered with a bandana tied behind and he could wear a thick leather bolero, a wide fabric belt and boots. He could be armed with a whip that he wields in front of him and have a short scimitar passed through the belt.

It was a long chase, so here Gimli runs again:
Forth the Three Hunters: Gimli
One of the iconic scenes in Tolkiens work - the abandonment of the quest in pursue of aid for a friend, and the remarkable feat of pursuing the Orks - is not yet made in miniature. So I start to suggest the most unlikely, and hardest challenged, hunter, Gimli, to go first.
He should be depicted in light travelgear (using the equipment shown in the fellowship box), in a running or jogging pose - a feat he would have to keep up for hours and days. Unlike Aragorn or Legolas who likely will have their eyes on the ground to pick up any detail, Gimly will be just concerned with keeping up.
"Dusk came. They passed away, grey shadows in a stony land."

I would like to resuggest this figure:
King Amdir at the Battle of the Last Alliance.
If I'm well informed, Amdir was an Elven king who marshalled the Galadhrim to the War of the Last Alliance and fell in the Dead Marshes. He was the father of Prince Amroth, who we know as Mithril no. M208.

Agent of Sauron
During their pursuit of the Orcs taking Merry and Pippin to Isengard, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli encountered Eomer and his riders on the plains of Rohan. Aragorn asked Eomer if the rumour of Rohan allying with Sauron was true. Eomer replied that Sauron had wanted to buy horses from Rohan but was refused as Sauron puts horses to 'evil work'.
What would an agent of Sauron be like? I would say Human, with an appearance that could be accepted and trusted by Men for purposes of trade - not too warlike in terms of armour and helmet, but still with an ambassadorial air that could be feared and respecte

Gothmog on foot
I see him standing on a little rock, leading the orcs for a last attack on the Plennor Fields.

Ham' Gamgee Holding Forth at the Ivy Bush For October I will re-suggest Ham(fast) Gamgee AKA 'The Gaffer' holding Forth at the Ivy Bush. Although a single figure suggestion, imagine the wider scene of the Gaffer sitting back in his chair addressing his audience of Old Noakes, Daddy Twofoot, and the miller, Ted Sandyman as they discuss Bilbo Baggins. A mug of beer in one hand while the other (holding a pipe) points at his audience as if to emphasise a point. His (hairy) feet are stretched out before him (and crossed), he wears an open coat over his 'weskit' and a handkerchief flops out of a pocket. A walking cane could be leant against the chair. I believe there is only LR27 - Fatty Bolger and The Gaffer that currently depicts this character.

"Bob, ostler of the Prancing Poney"
(Bob is the counterpart and friend of Nob who's serving in the taproom. He took care of the ponies of the hobbit company.
At the moment, Bob has never been sculpted in the whole Mithril range.
I imagine trying to lift a saddle in his hands, (which could be quite original, we never had any ostler before nor any saddle outside of a horseback in the whole range)

The list had already been submitted.

While we are voting for the October, I will - this time in time, I hope - suggest that the coming double vote for December/January will NOT be two single votes but actually one vote for two single miniatures in interaction.
This would allow for suggestions that otherwise would cluster the rare option for mounted minis, and it will not change the typical rate of one single per month. It would even make the vote easier, as it does not differ from the usual procedure.
Suggestions could be two characters in debate, combat or dance, just to name some interactions. Sam proposing to Rose. Saruman and Gandalf on weathertop. Cirdan and Gandalf at his arrival. Or whatever. I am sure folks will come up with fresh ideas here.
BTW: It is NOT possible to make this with two seperate votes as two characters from different sets could win, which makes the idea obsolete.

I advise making a new thread to discuss this and we can see how it is fleshed out. I am open to the idea but I want to make sure we are not upsetting or confusing the other members. Its a fun idea and would be simple enough to do.
