Thanks for your submissions, we have enough to go forward. One idea was dropped due to it being too complicated to make a miniature of. That is the Willow suggestion. Its been suggested before but Chris has yet to find a way to satisfactorily create it and make it possible.
Please leave a comment to support your favourite idea to help others support your idea.

To accompany Thrain in Dol Guldur's deeps, I propose for this month... An Orcish Torturer of Dol Guldur

Great wolf-chieftain leaping to attack
The attack of the Fellowship by wargs: "The howling of the wolves was now all around them...in the dead of night many shining eyes were seen peering over the brow of the hill...at a gap in the circle a great dark wolf-shape could be seen...the wolf snarled and sprang towards them with a great leap".
Imagine a huge warg almost as large as a horse, leaping mouth a gape, with a shaggy mane

Thorin with Harp
Posting this idea again (this time with proper sizing and coloring). I think the dwarven musicians is a big shortage on the mithril range. Especially the dwarven musicians from The Hobbit. The group starts their journey without any proper weapons, but they bring instruments! The viols, flute, clarinets, fiddles and a drum need to be represented too. The leader is of course the most important. That is why I keep suggesting Thorin with Harp. Atleast that is my humble opinion. Cheers to you all!

It was a long chase, so here Gimli runs again:
Forth the Three Hunters: Gimli
One of the iconic scenes in Tolkiens work - the abandonment of the quest in pursue of aid for a friend, and the remarkable feat of pursuing the Orks - is not yet made in miniature. At least not the hunters part in it - we do have Orks slugging around Merry and Pippin.
So I start to suggest the most unlikely, and hardest challenged, hunter, Gimli, to go first.
He should be depicted in light travelgear (using the equipment shown in the fellowship box), in a running or jogging pose - a feat he would have to keep up for hours and days. Unlike Aragorn or Legolas who likely will have their eyes on the ground to pick up any detail, Gimly will be just concerned with keeping up.
"Dusk came. They passed away, grey shadows in a stony land."

Hobbit Outsider
Relevant quote:
My idea is that of a hobbit that looks a bit like a vagabond, possibly wearing a hood/cape, carrying a bundle with his few possessions, and generally looking down-and-out. He may be either sneaking somewhere, or perhaps striking a carefree pose, dancing or making music, whatever Chris thinks best.

A Conspiracy Unmasked Sing hey! For the bath at the close of day…..The travellers hung up their cloaks, and piled their packs on the floor. Merry led them down the passage and threw open a door at the far end. Firelight came out, and a puff of steam. ‘A bath!’ cried Pippin. ‘O blessed Meriadoc!’…..For this month’s suggestion I will submit one of the hobbits in a bath at the house in Crickhollow. On the floor would be a copper full of boiling water, as well as a matt and a towel (as described in the book). It would be nice if the towel could be on a small stool, but the floor would suffice. The hobbit would be lathering himself with his soap and a sponge/flannel. I’m not sure if this has been a past suggestion from another GF member, apologies if it has.
