Happy New Year everyone. We had to alter one idea a bit but other than that all the ideas were approved. Please note that these are paired ideas of two figures. So they will be released as individual figures, unless Chris decides otherwise.
You have one vote so choose your favourite and the final top two ideas will go towards the final.
Remember you can post comments explaining why you support an idea, even if you were not the person who originally submitted it.

An excellent idea!
Rose and Sam
I suggest the very last scene from The Lord of the Rings :
"And Rose drew Sam in, and set him in his chair, and put little Elanor upon his lap.
He drew a deep breath. 'Well, I'm back,' he said.
So, I would like to see Sam extenuated by his journey and his emotions, comfortably installed in a deep, soft armchair, Elanor on his lap. Sam and Rose look at each other lovingly and Rose strokes her head tenderly.

Strong start, olivier. :-)
Lets see what we will yield this time. I will throw in
Galadriel and Gimli
The moment she gives him her strands of hair. Gimli showing signs of stuporous astonishment and awe will be quite a change for a dwarf.

Eomer fighting Ugluk This would make a nice 'double' set as two warriors battle it out, of course WE know the outcome, but Ugluk doesn't

Celebrimbor offering the Ring of Water to Galadriel
There is no direct passage from LotR, but we know that Celebrimbor made the Three Rings and hid them, and made sure they were delivered elsewhere: the Rings of Air and Fire in Lindon to Gil-galad, and the Ring of Water to Lórien. Assuming Celebrimbor would not entrust the Ring to a messenger, he would have travelled through Moria, possibly incognito, to Lórien to offer the Ring personally to Galadriel.
The scene would be that of Celebrimbor, a rather strongly-built elf (a smith, after all), clad in a cloak covering traveller's clothes, offering the ring to Galadriel, who appears both lured and intimidated.
The scene would also be easy to convert to represent anything from the delivery of a message, to a marriage proposal between unrelated characters.

@haldir Nice one. Hope it conforms to the license. If not, you could make a fallback suggestion of Cirdan handing the Ring over to Gandalf. That is safely within the third age (by canon, if not by Amazon Prime) and should be fine.
I always wondered how the Rings were handed over to the Dwarves and Humans. By Sauron himself? Some messengers? Durins folk claimed theirs was handed over by the Elves, probably Celebrimbor, but as far as gold and treasures are concerned, trust in the perspective of Dwarves is mislaid.

Sauron (with the nine fingers) tortures Gollum.
What I mean is this: Somewhere I read (I can't find the source at the moment) that Gollum told Frodo and Sam that he had been tortured by Sauron, who only had nine fingers left (one cut by Isildur). So Sauron must have had a different shape to the eye.

@gilgaladtolkien Sauron himself? Thats a disturbing thought, and certainly a challenge for Chris. I imagine that Sauron would not need to lay hands upon Gollum (or anybody) to torture him, just sitting there and staring, exploring the mind and its weaknesses, that would be bad enough for anybody to bear. I shudder by just thinking about your suggestion. Congrats :-)

ELROND AND ARWEN FAREWELL
Elrond is sitting while stroking Arwen's hair (which is lying or sitting next to him) in a stone bench while they say goodbye.

"All are ok except for the Sauron Gollum vignette. By the time Sauron reaches Mordor his form is so large and ephemeral that I would not try to depict it. I would be willing to do a piece where Gollum is dragged into his presence by two of his terrifying underlings . You can include the piece if the proposer agrees with this compromise. It would still be an interesting vignette "

If there is another idea to reach the mark I would appreciate it. Gilgaladtolkien has not responded to the post or the message so I am not sure we can accept their idea.

I still have not gotten any response about the Sauron and Gollum post so I will give it until Monday. If not responded to by the poster I will go with Chris's idea and start the vote.

Luckily, the first proposal was accepted!
As far as I know, Tolkien didn't provide details on the subject, and there is room for speculation. I always liked the image of Sauron's messenger in Erebor asking for Baggins and his ring, being deceitful, threatening and not showing his face. It might have been something like that, some sorcerer similar to the Mouth of Sauron (a previous Mouth of Sauron?) visiting kings as an ambassador of Mordor.

Sounds like a good suggestion for next years double. Saurons messenger and a king of the humans - again covering the handover of a Ring.
