For almost 20 years we have run this forum with open registration however over the last six months in particular I have had a steady flow of spammers. This is becoming a plague.
I have therefore restricted the ability to register new accounts, especially over the holidays. If you want to register a new account, email me at info@mithril.ie and I will allow your email in, when I am at work. Otherwise no. I appreciate that this may negatively affect people interested in the forum, but until there is another solution found, I am not going to tolerate constant spammers.
