Thanks to all members who took the time to submit your ideas for the month of April. You are the life blood of the Fellowship and your consistant support is appreciated.
Now the good news is that Chris has accepted the ideas and there are enough to move forward. There is no bad news. Hurray.
As usual the first round will not display the current status of the poll until after you have submitted your vote. This allows all ideas a fair chance for support.
The second round will begin next week after noon on Wednesday. So you have a little less than a week to take part.
Please include a comment on why you are voting for an idea as that can sway undecided voters. Feel free to back it up with quotes from Tolkien's writings or supply illustrations or photos as you feel appropriate.

FOOL OF A TOOK!
The miniature would have Pippin kneeling or crouching over the well of the guard room of Moria. He would have small stone in hand ready drop it into the deep of the well.
This scene really puts things in motion in Moria. It may be the reason why the goblins seize the company later and Gandalf is forced to battle the balrog. It also gives as a perfect picture of Pippins carefree and curious nature. Even inside the darkest and most foul place he has ever visited, he chooses to commit this almost childlike action.
"Pippin felt curiously attracted by the well... he crept to the edge and peered over. A chill air seemed to strike his face, rising from invisible depths. Moved by a sudden impulse he groped for a loose stone, and let it drop. He felt his heart beat many times before there was any sound. Then far below, as if the stone had fallen into deep water in some cavernous place, there came a plunk... ...What's that?! cried Gandalf...'Fool of a Took' he growled. 'This is a serious journey, not a hobbit walking-party'...

Feeling still dwarvish, so I suggest - avoiding the name that only showed up in 1996, an
Ælderman of an eastern Dwarven folk
Some of the seven tribes dwelled East of the Lonely mountain, and did so for a long time - so it is probable they came into contact with the rising Empire of Sauron long before he returned to the West. It is not clear wether they made pacts with Morgoth and later Sauron or suffered in defiance, but we do know that Sauron gifted them with Rings and got some of his Rings back.
I imagine just a grizzled old dwarve that ousts authority in a slightly different cultural context then the usual dwarven folks.

That would go well with MZ706 Gandalf Smoking a Pipe

again position from final last month is not a basis for pessimism... so this month I am again repeating the suggestion!
Déorwine the Chief of the King's Riders during the War of the Ring
Déorwine was the Chief of the Theoden King's Riders during the War of the Ring. He was slain along with six of his knights at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields in Gondor. He was buried in the Mounds of Mundburg and memorialized in the Song of the Mounds of Mundburg.
We haven't had a single Rohan warrior among the proposals for a long time. A good Nordic style miniature would fit well into the MZ series......

Haradhrim/Easterling Soldier at Osgiliath (as described by Boromir at The Council of Elrond) I see this as a complimentary figure to the recent Boromir at Osgiliath figure. At the Council of Elrond, Boromir recounted this battle as a sudden attack in which the men of Gondor were outnumbered by the forces of Mordor with their allies, the Easterlings and Haradrim. However, he attributed Gondor's defeat to a power that had not been felt before, issuing from a great black horseman. The figure would be in an attacking or parrying pose so that it could be set against Boromir, armed with a scimitar or an axe, possibly with one foot on a stairway giving the impression that Boromir is above.

I would like to resuggest this figure:
King Amdir at the Battle of the Last Alliance.
If I'm well informed, Amdir was an Elven king who marshalled the Galadhrim to the War of the Last Alliance and fell in the Dead Marshes. He was the father of Prince Amroth, who we know as Mithril no. M208.

Let's add a new suggestion:
RIVENDELL MARCH-WARDEN
This would be an elf tasked with scouting in the mountains around Rivendell and keep them safe from dangers like trolls and orcs, thus protecting the Hidden Valley. It would be the elf equivalent of a Ranger, and I picture it with similar garb: heavy travellers' clothes, heavy cloak with hood, a short bow (possibly recurve) and a sword at the belt.
The pose would be either spying - crouched and looking forward; or also crouching and aiming with his bow at whatever threat he sees. Alternatively, he could be greeting travellers to question them on their destination, with hood hanging back and a raised hand.
