September suggestions have closed.Post your suggestions here. One per member. This month please only post single figure suggestions for October. This is in response to some members concern that the bulk of the suggestions so far were vignettes and therefore more expensive. You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions. Voting begins September 22nd. So hurry. If the August vote can be taken as a representative thermometer of what gets other members' juices flowing, then a mounted Halbarad has to be the clear favourite, and I wouldn't object at all to him winning. However, my own suggestion has to be the same as last month - Eorl on Felarof at the Field of Celebrant (ie, riding bareback without harness).
A recommendation to Halbarad fans: Don't get distracted by too many alternative suggestions regarding what he should be doing, or else you'll just run the risk of splitting the vote again. Whether or not he should be carrying Arwen's standard, or just sitting there, or leading his horse, or whatever, I would - frankly - leave entirely up to Chris. In my experience it's never too wise to shackle an artist's imagination with too many specifics, or you won't necessarily get the best they're capable of.

there is a character who has never been made so far (except during last alliance) but who plays quite some part in the LOTR : Cirdan at the Grey Havens. Not designed in battle gear for war, but only as a shipbuilder who greets Frodo and the company at the end of the LOTR. I think it could be cool as a single and small figurine (or maybe Chris plans a Grey Havens series for the regular M series, that would be cool since there are several figurines to be made... well maybe I should put this suggestion in the regular suggestions as well? Can you give me your advice Michael? )

My suggestion for a single figure is Elladan (I believe only his brother was produced in Mithril figure) or Elladan and Elrohir in a vignette.
My other suggestion for one next day, not a single figure but a boxed Mithril (MB), is Grond(not the Morgoth's hand weapon but the Hamme of the Underworld) with trolls ans orcs pushing it to crash Minas Tirith Gates.

Frodo give farewell to Sam WITH all the ring bearers beside him (Bilbo, Cirdan, Galadriel and Gandalf) I know it will be a very large scene more fitted for a box :Pbut this very last and emotional scene of LOTR.
“Well, here at last, dear friends, on the shores of the Sea comes the end of our fellowship in Middle-earth. Go in peace! I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil.”

In a dream I thought the eastern sky grew dark and there was a growing thunder, but in the West a pale light lingered, and out of it I heard a voice, remote but clear, crying: Bombur! Bombur! Bombur!

Anyone would think you wanted a Bombur figure... Well, I do like his stand on many of the issues. He is a reform candidate.

Heh - well, there's some great suggestions so far. Halbarad's a beaut, Cirdan and Eorl are right-on, and Queen Beruthiel is a collectors dream, but for campaigning style, there's only one Bombur! I have no idea which way I'll vote seriously, but Bombur's definitely got the early lead on personality!

I'm sticking with suggesting Halbarad again. "Halbarad mounted all by himself" ...though I don't know that I can compete with Bombur's glitzy campaign.

Call it stubborn, call it faithfull! Honour to your true love for the rangers: I agree with Wendy from the States: it should be a ranger from the North this time! Mounted or not! They have been forgotten totally! Until now, I hope! And Halbarad ought to have a face and a habitus.
It were that rangers, who protected the Shire for so long. Only a few know about their role in Middle-Earth´s history. They should have their own monument, created by Chris!
Greetings from Germany!

I too like the mounted Halbarad suggestion but I gotta tell ya, the Bombur campaign poster just cracked me up !!!! Also liked Gildor's suggestion of single Grey Haven figures that would mesh as a set.

Well well, but I think krosbone is absulutely right. I also would like to have a nice woman with some cats in my collection. BERUTHIEL. The idea is to have a "cheaper" miniature. So a mounted figure - like Halbarad - of course would be a bit more expensive than a single miniature that is not mounted. Two or more cats wouldn't make such a difference, I think. Anyway, I will be very much pleased with every idea that will get the vote.

One I would like to see would be Imrahil (on horse) with the stricken body of Faramir in his arms after his rescue by Dol Amroth. Not necessary this vote but in the future perhaps. I do like the Halbarad idea - at the moment i am toying with the idea of a scene with the mounted Aragorn figure (to be Halbarad) leaning down to take the banner from Arwen (special edition figure). Perhaps the popular vote may change my plans. But if it is to be a single figure this time, Cirdan at the Havens sounds good. David

I suggest Amroth, the former king of Lorien standing alone, his hair in the wind looking at the sea while waiting for Nimrodel.

Well, If you want to keep costs down then it should be Halbarad on foot. Is there enough lead on the planet to make ~200 Bombur figures?

My pick goes to Roac talking to Thorin. I think it can be made as a single figure. Roac perched on a small branch....

My suggestion : a Moria dwarf warrior. It doesn't has to be a character, just a dwarf figure in action pose, in full armour dress, with a helm with eye and nose protector, plate or chain mail, and a special weapon, like arrow and bow (we didn't see this in the Mithril dwarve range yet) or defending with a long pike or a long hallbeard (you know, a long kind of axe). Should be a relatively cheap figure for once...

Should be a relatively cheap figure for once... Is cost really a problem for Mithril Colectors? I will start a thread about mithril pricing in the general forum. Thijl

I would like to see a mounted(optional) ranger with his/her sword strapped across their back and a flame torch in one hand held up high. There other hand could be placed over the hilt of a dagger in there belt.
The ranger should be bearded, with a cloak (hood down). He should also be wearing a leather jerkin (no chain mail), trousers, shirt and boots. With maybe an decorative motif around the edge of the cloak (something from gondorian style - stars, tree of gondor etc.)
If the ranger is mounted then a bow and quiver attached to the horses saddle would be a nice effect but I'm not sure if this would be easy to cast.

I don't think price is necessarily a problem yet, but if the Fellowship keeps voting up vignettes, or multi-figures poses, it could be. Not to mention the pressure on Mr. Tubb to maintain artistic and technical standards for new large figure every month, and also for regular Mithril releases. But his limits are better known to him, not me!! I think a single mounted figure would be reasonable enough, so Halbarad gets my vote! Keep running, Bombur, you're day will come!!

*** ELDARION ***
Hi, Fellow Collectors! My suggestion for september is: How about Eldarion? The son of King Elessar and his Queen Arwen Evenstar. There is no Mithril figure of him produced so far. I think of him as grown-up figure for september
Maybe there will be in the sooner future a chance to make a vignette of the whole family. King Elessar & Queen Arwen very proud and Eldarion as a teenager, also with two or three beautiful little sisters of him around, maybe one sweety on King Elessars arm...
Cheers and happy voting, Harald from Germany
