Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member. This is a single figure month, NO Mounted options will apply. Examples of past single figures include the King of the Dead and the Lossoth hunter. The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability. Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY: IDEA TITLE "this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..." Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion. Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote. Voting will begin on the 18th of August (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 17th. You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry). If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions. GO TO GALLERY PAGE: www.mithril.ie/Fellowship/gallery.html

Aragorn with the Sapling of the White Tree I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, but Aragorn holding the sapling of the White Tree. A major moment in the history of Gondor at the beginning of the New Age. I don't think the sapling should be too complicated to design from a casting point of view, I assume the branches could be bent to shape.

BEECHBONEEnt of Fangorn Forest. Beechbone was a tall and handsome Ent. He was burned to death by liquid fire during the Ents' attack on Isengard. His fellow Ents were enraged by his death and doubled their efforts to destroy Isengard. Represent just the time when he is enveloped in flames. I think it would be nice to have some Ent more now that we have the new serie-M of Helm's Deep with half-orcs of Isengard. Who knows, maybe another idea for a serie about the Attack of the Ents on Isengard. Ah!, He is also a character named The Two Towers: "Flotsam and Jetsam," p. 173

indeed Beechbone is one of the very few named ents... all the others having been produced already (Bregalad Quickbeam, Fladrif Skinbark, Finglas Leaflock, Fimbrethil and indeed Fangorn Treebeard)
I would resubmit though :
[glow=red,2,300]Arvedui, Last King of Arnor...[/glow]

changed my mind, gildor:
TOM BOMBADIL with the ONE RING
From Lord of the Rings Book 1 "In the House of Tom Bombadil":
Tom Bombadil took the 4 Hobbits to his house after the rescue from old man willow While the talking by the fireside there was this breathtaking key scene when Tom Bombadíl asked Frodo to show him the One Ring, got it from the Hobbit held it before his eye, put it on his finger and DID NOT become invisible... Then he flung the Ring into the air, and the Ring vanished in a flash...
He is.
As Frodo got the Ring back, he was suspicious and put on the Ring to try, and the Hobbit became invisible... wasn't seen by his Hobbit fellows but he was seen by Tom Bombadil even so!...
I imagine Tom as single miniature standing with the Precious between his fingers holding it in front of his bright blue eye (paint job) or even on his little Finger, He should not be to slender, the fellowship miniature MS297 of Tom with the badgers is superb.
He is ...certainly one of my favorites!
Cheers, Hwolf

Well, well! My cousin-in-names, good old Tom Bombadil, seems to come to new honours! He is, uh, does, indeed! Very nice, Harald! But even Beechbone is a long overdue personality when he will be allowed in a single month. I´ll stick to one of my favourites for the suggestion time! Let´s see what the votings will bring: Narvi, stonemason of Moria, builder of the West-Gate Dwarfs! Yes, they can!

Mauhur Orc of Isengard Named three times in The Two Towers (p.72,75,76) He and his fighters attempted to come to the rescue of Uglak and his band while they were surrounded. Instead he helped cause a distraction that allowed Merry and Pippin to escape. This sugestion has been made by others before.

I resubmit
Eowyn in the Golden Hall
either at the time of Theodens "madness", perhaps to be paired with the old Grima miniature spouting his poison to drag her down, or at the time between the battle of Helms Klam and the ride to Gondor, feasting and courting around Aragorn. Final decision (as usual) up to our Master designer.

As my own suggestion of Hirgon, errand of gondor has been thrown in here (which gives me some hope of winning ;D ), I will suggest this: [glow=red,2,300]Haldir/ Rumil/Orophin guardian of Lorien [/glow]But as there is just ONE figure to suggest, I would ask, why not producing one figure, but with the possibility to change head and/or the weapon? Many of the older MITHRIL figures had been multiple parts minis, some with the chance to put the weapon or staff in the hands of the miniature. And as these Elves are brothers, they could have some similar look? And so we can have Haldir AND Rumil AND Orophin, also there is just ONE Figure suggested. Hope Chris will like the idea To be correct: the suggestion of Haldir must be of Wendys origin. P.S.: I like the idea of Mauhur very much! P.P.S.: No witch king this time??

What about the witch king after Eowyn has finished him off? A small pile of ash will do. Maybe next to the head of the fellbeast to make it more exciting...

I propose that the ash of the withking come as a free gift together with Eowyn. It just takes the package and a match to build it. And while we are at it, you will get Bilbo wearing the ring, too. Both Witchking and Bilbo have to be based, though.
