hello fellowship members!
Yesterday I received my order of Gothmog and the Witch-King-figure. so I'm glad to be one of the members, who were able to gather all numbers of the first year's released figures.
Out of a mood I have put all 12 releases (in fact 14: with Aragorn and the Palantir + the Witch-King Bonus) together in a row. I think it is a nice and well balanced little collection of good and evil representatives and makes a good addition in every mithril collection.
I would like to know what my fellow collectors think about the first year in general? Which is your personal favorite? Is there one you don't like at all?

Huuooommmm ... hwolf, My miniatures of the MS-releases always are lined up in a glass cabinet next to my desk - though unfortunately unpainted. But I can imagine the way you feel. Taking your time to do so and digest. As for choosing favourites I really don't have the time at the moment, but I will think about it (of course there are many! ). I am absolutely satisfied with this Membership, well and to add: I am absolutely surprised about Mr Tubb's work.

Well, I have recently ordered two glasscases for my figurines because I am desperatly lacking space to display them all, and I only display the painted ones. the other ones are still in blisters... or in small plastic zipbags for protection. (M16 is in a jewelry velvet ring box LOL) As for fellowship, this membership is incredible and excellent (I wear the sweatshirts often lately and am very proud of it, even at work) Fact is there are no figurines in this year that I dislike. There may be some that I like less than others... but my favorite remains... (though the most expensive) my suggesion, the MS435 Sauron at Gorgoroth. For me it is a dream come true, and I spent several months painting it in every detail...I really Like Boromir death too, Gothmog, and the King of the dead. As for the expression of feelings, my favorites are Faramir & Eowyn and Gilraen, which are really expressive.

Hmm, I think I like Beorn battling Bolg most. Then Halbarad. Then my own suggestion Gilraen on the same level with Sauron. There are two I really don´t like, but I won´t tell their names because I don´t want to hurt anybody. And then there are two I didn´t order. But this has nothing to do with sympathy or not sympathy: I missed the necessary money in those months. Perhaps I´ll get them later on. I am glad to be a member of the Gold Fellowship. I can talk with other fellows about my ideas and sorrows, feel the exitement while the votings are running and joy or mercy for or with winners and losers.

Well, I think every miniature has been at least brilliant - but of all of them, Thorin entombed is my favourite for the year - I have _very_ little time to paint these days (fortunately I enjoy displaying them unpainted as well!), but once I've finished my last mini, it's onto Thorin. The expressions and poses and positioning, due to both brilliant sculpting and design, are right on .

I have found the rewards of the GF akin to finding the Arkenstone; I have said before and will say again it is the diversity of the subject matter and the knowledge that other companies would not even consider some of the releases as they would not appeal to the wider audience, that makes this exclusive club exclusive. As with all Mithril figures, I can always find a use for the figure to depict a character or an event from the books even if it was never designed to be that. Favourites - no favourites, each shines in its own light and successfully portrays that figure or scene that it was intended to. The GF has in my opinion been a great success
