An image of my recently completed 'The Watcher in the Water' diorama using Mithril's Shelob as a basis for the Watcher. The tentacles are scratch built by myself and I used the abdomen from Mithril's Shelob which imho could be what the Watchers body may have looked like - the rest is hidden leaving it to the imgination of the viewer. I will email Michael more images. PLEASE NOTE: Although all figures (apart from the tentacles) are Mithril releases, The Watcher IS NOT a Mithril release so please don't ask them what code number it is ;D

absolutely brilliant, a wonderful diorama, David.
... though, having watched the picture for quite a while now, there's some sadness coming up ... the only thing that might have improved this diorama would have been the casting of the "West Gate of Moria", as it once was suggested as an MS-release by Bombadil62. Unfortunately we were told that it couldn't be casted.

Unfortunately we were told that it couldn't be casted. Indeed, That would have made it complete , but alas we know the tale behind this. This is mainly why I have used the Holly Trees to 'obscure' the details of the gate/door . I think there once was a gate available from elsewhere, but I think it is no longer available.
