Welcome to another exciting chance to add your ideas and dreams to Mithril's LOTR miniatures. Post your suggestions here. ONE per member.
This month's ideas is for single figures only, so no mounted or Vignettes (more than 2 people or a lot of furniture + character) please. I realise a mounted figure seems like ONE figure, but the mount is extra (horse/camel/warg/etc). Dragons and huge monsters may not succeed as they require extensive tooling and expense that puts them in a different range.
The only other restriction is that the figures MUST conform to our license, so NO Silmarillion based characters are allowed. They have to be in the Hobbit or LOTR books. The final say is ours and no arguement will be allowed. Ask if you are worried about its eligiability.
Please submit ideas in the following format ONLY:
IDEA TITLE
"this is why I think 'Idea Title' is a good idea for this month..."
Make the title stand out (within reason) and separate from any supportive text by a paragragh. This will prevent Chris accidently overlooking it when he compiles the voting list later on. Otherwise it could be mistaken as a comment not a new suggestion.
Please add some quotes about where it is mentioned or give descriptions to promote your suggestion. Even add a picture or submit it to me to add to the gallery page. If you drum up support NOW, the you have a much better chance when it is time to vote.
Voting will begin on the 12th of May (first round). We stop taking suggestions at 16.00 GMT on the 11th.
You may add comments about other members suggestions as well. If you post any suggestions elsewhere it may not be seen or credited. Please post any suggestions in English. (That is all I can respond in, sorry). If you have any questions then post in the other thread provided for such questions.

I'd like to suggest another important Dwarf lord, who is unreleased so far and is even missing in our suggestion list : Thrór - Dwarven King under the Mountain, Lord of the Treasure-HoardThrór (Third Age 2542 – 2790, lived 248 years) He was King of Durin's folk for 201 years, and was the eldest son of Dáin I and brother of Grór and Frór.
After a great Cold-drake killed both his father and brother he led his people away from the Grey Mountains. Thrór led some of the Dwarves back to Lonely Mountain, where he became King under the Mountain, a title held earlier by his ancestor, Thorin I.
King under the Mountain: At Erebor, Thrór and his people re-established the Kingdom under the Mountain, also they rediscovered the Arkenstone and were very prosperous. Gaining the friendship of the Northmen who lived along the river Celduin. These people later founded the town of Dale and had much trade of goods, beautiful trinkets, and weapons with the Dwarves. The Dwarves of Erebor also had much traffic of ores with their kinsman in the Iron Hills. And the region had peace and prosperity for many years.
In 2770 though their prosperity ended. The Dragon Smaug heard of the wealth of Thrór and his people. And he came south from the Ered Mithrin and sacked the Lonely Mountain, killing many Dwarves. But from the destruction many escaped last of them being Thrór and his son Thráin from the hidden Side Door. So with a small company of kin and faithful followers they made the great wandering south, until they reached the hills of Dunland.
On a Midyear's Day, Thrór created his map of the Desolation. With runes he wrote information about entering Erebor from a secret way. He used Moon-letters for this.
I imagine this noble Dwarf-King in royal garments with crown, not in wargear Maybe he can hold a sceptre or even "the heart of the Mountain"– the Arkenstone

I am here ..... ;D Beechbone, the ent in flames. It is time that the Ents go to war. Beechbone may accompany the great winner of last month and make a nice diorama of the Ent attack on Isengard.

That's a very good suggestion indeed, Erchamion. So I don't have to suggest anything myself

Bombur, sitting drowsy on the ground (after climbing out of the barrel - the latter to be supplied by us). This mini can also be used for camp-scences, or after Bomburs awakening from the sleep. He should be a bit deranged, perhaps yawning or looking intensely at the finger/hand he he holds before his face.

I suggest:
[glow=red,2,300]FEMALE DORWINION WINE MERCHANT[/glow]
Chris can make her any way he thinks best.
HWolf, the detail about Thor is a very compelling commentary! Have a karma, just in case we keep it.

First, I would like to congratulate for the Ent who again has beaten Grima and Saruman. This was a great and fair fight ! This month, I again suggest we have our beloved hobbit in MS series. Bilbo in mithril coat with ArkenstoneI imagine the moment when Bilbo is presenting the Arkenstone to Thranduil and Bard (he coud be bowing also). the mithril coat is visible under Bilbo's cloak the arkenstone is in both Bilbo's hands Sting is on Bilbo's belt. the One ring is visible only through Bilbo's pocket's shape. Remind this event is the only one where Bilbo can be represented wearing the mithril coat (during battle of five armies, he was quickly knocked out by a stone and still wearing the one ring, so invisible). Noone on Middle earth has ever been so precious ! ;D No mithril visible in mithril range must be corrected !

A nice suggestion Milo Here is the part from the Hobbit novel where Bilbo is presented by Thorin with the Mithril items: “Mr. Baggins!” he cried. “Here is the first payment of your reward! Cast off your old coat and put on this!”
With that he put on Bilbo a small coat of mail, wrought for some young elf-prince long ago. It was of silver-steel, which the elves call mithril, and with it went a belt of pearls and crystals. A light helm of figured leather, strengthened beneath with hoops of steel, and studded about the brim with white gems, was set upon the hobbit’s head.
“I feel magnificent,” he thought; “but I expect I look rather absurd. How they would laugh on the Hill at home! Still I wish there was a looking-glass handy!”

Mauhur Orc Commander of Isengard Named three times in The Two Towers (p.72,75,76) He led his band of fighters in an attempt to come to the rescue of Uglak and his band while they were surrounded. Instead he helped cause a distraction that allowed Merry and Pippin to escape. This sugestion has been made by me and by others before.

Girion Lord of Dale
I've suggested him before with the emerald necklace, but this time a slightly different take.
Girion in armour with weapon and shield rallying the men of Dale as Smaug sweeps down upon them to wreak destruction on the town and its people.
An anguished look on his face, hair flowing in the breeze.

[glow=red,2,300]Fallen Fell Beast[/glow] History: The Fell Beast were the dreadful winged steeds of the Nazgul. They were ancient beings that had come into the world before the count of time began. Though they had beak and claw and wing, they were not birds, nor even bats; they were serpentine, dragon-like, yet older. Fed on the meats of orcs and grown larger than any other creature of the air, they carried the Nazgul high over the lands with the speed of the winds.
Idea: The black terror from the sky lay ruined upon the earth. Fallen in battle, it resembles the wreckage of a downed aircraft. Its wings are bent and tattered. Its broken neck is stretched out in front of its carcass. Its body is a shattered fuselage. Perhaps some life remains, but its breathing is short and labored. Death is just around the corner. Nearby, the Nazgul, shaken but not stirred, prepares for its last stand.
Yes, it’s large and impractical, but I felt compelled to submit something.
