A great list of ideas this month, however one had to be left out of the running. "I cannot include Amdir of Lothlorien as he is mentioned only in “Unfinished tales Tales“ which our licence does not cover." ~ Chris Tubb. Please remember that you can submit comments with your vote and tell people why you chose what you chose. This vote is a blind vote, you can see the current status as soon as you cast your vote. Once again (and it's the fourth or fifth time)....
I'd like to submit :
King Elessar Mounted at the Black Gate
Leading the last assault of the Free People against Sauron at the end of the Lord of the Rings, he would be clad in regal armor on a rearing horse, mustering his last forces to confront the forces or Mordor
I imagine him on a rearing horse, ordering his Gondorians to make a last stand in a similar way than M260 (and I don't remember there are a lot of rearing horses in the Mithril range... so that would be quite original)
Please, vote for my idea... It's been quite a while now that the range needs this figurine and it would only be great if done mounted (that's why I never suggest it on the regular single months).... Now is the chance! seize it!

Time once again to suggest my own repeatedly requested favourite:
Elfhelm the Marshal on horseback
Elfhelm is one of the few remaining genuine, named, speaking characters from LOTR for whom a Mihtril figure has yet to be produced. For those who need reminding, he was the Rohirrim marshal with a charmed life who survived both the battles at the Fords of Isen and the battle of the Pelennor fields. He also defeated the Orc and Easterling army that remained in Anorien when Eomer and Aragorn/Elessar marched to the Black Gate.
If all that doesn't qualify him for inclusion in the MS range then I don't know what does!
Last July, Elfhelm failed to win by a single vote, and received a number of promises of future support. Alas, this support failed to materialise the next time he featured, when he received just my own vote! What fickle people you are. However, now you have a chance to redeem your honour - vote for Elfhelm this time and I'll call back the Orc bands I've sent out to find you all.....

My suggestion for this month :
Mounted Dunlending Chieftain
We all were able to purchase extra Dunlending figures at a seriously reduced price some time ago, so I took the opportunity to expand my Dunlending Warband. What they still need now, is a mounted Chieftain to lead them to Rohan! As usual with chiefs, he has more money to spend for his equipment and so he may have more goodlooking furniture than the common dunlending warriors (chainmail, coat, helmet...)
Thanks to all who wants to support this idea.

Earnur, on rearing frightened horse in front of Fornost
"When finally the Witch-king, clad in black, came forth near Fornost, many of the horses fled in terror. So did Eärnur's steed, and it took some time before the Captain of Gondor could regain control. The Witch-king laughed at this seeming retreat, but his victory would not last long. "

Indeed, Barliman. That's why this month once again I did not dare to make a suggestion myself. But someone was right mentioning that in the past there have been two months a year for mounted figures. If that still was working we would be able to cope with the suggestions for mounted figures better. Anyway, just let's see.

Amdír, King of Lothlorien, on war horse in the Battle of Dagorlad
King of Lothlorien in the Second Age. Amdir was a Sindarin Elf. Some Sindarin Elves from Beleriand moved eastward after their land was destroyed in the War of Wrath against Morgoth at the end of the First Age. Amdir may have been among them. According to one story, he became the leader of the people of Lothlorien, who were mostly Silvan Elves, or Wood-elves.
Throughout the Second Age, Lothlorien was at peace, and few outsiders even knew of its existence. At some point, the Elves of Lothlorien encountered Galadriel, who was then living in Eregion on the other side of the Misty Mountains. She and her husband Celeborn may have come to live in Lothlorien for a short time after the fall of Eregion in 1697.
In 3434, Amdir responded to a summons from Gil-galad to join the fight against Sauron in the War of the Last Alliance. Amdir's forces were valiant, but they were poorly equipped for battle. At the Battle of Dagorlad, they were cut off from their allies and were driven into the marshland west of the Black Gate. Amdir and more than half his troops were killed. The marshland became known as the Dead Marshes because of the corpses of Elves, Men, and Orcs who perished there.
Sauron was defeated in 3441. Amdir's son Amroth succeeded him as the King of Lothlorien.

Horseman from Minas MorgulIn The Lord of The Rings, "The Two Towers", a great cavalry of horsemen rode out from Minas Morgul with The Witch-King himself ahead of them, while Frodo watched. Here is Alan Lee's Illustration:

Frodo mounted on Glorfindels horse at the Bruinen-FordYes, yes, another Frodo! But he's the main character of the book and it's a great scene in the books: The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring Chapter XII - Flight to the Ford.
'You shall ride my horse,' said Glorfindel. ' I will shorten the stirrups up to the saddle-skirts, and you must sit as tight as you can. But you need not fear: my horse will not let any rider fall that I command him to bear. His pace ist light and smooth; and if danger presses too near, he will bear you away with a speed that even the black steeds of the enemy cannot rival.' 'No, he will not!' said Frodo. ' I shall not ride him, if I am to be carried off to Rivendell or anywhere else, leaving my friends behind in danger.' Glorfindel smiled. 'I doubt very much,' he said, 'if your friends would be in danger if you were not with them! The pursuit would follow you and leave us in peace, I think. It is you, Frodo, and that which you bear that brings us all in peril.' To that Frodo had no answer, and he was persuaded to mount Glorfindels white horse. ....
... 'Ride on! Ride on! cried Glorfindel, and then loud and clear he called to the horse in the elf-tongue: noro lim, noro lim, Asfaloth! At once the white horse sprang away and sped like the wind along the last lap of the Road. ...
... fear now filled Frodo's mind. he thought no longer of his sword. No cry came from him. He shut his eyes and clung to the horses mane. the wind whistled in his ears, and the bells upon the harness rang wild and shrill. A breath of deathly cold pierced him like a spear, as with a lst spurt, like a flash of white fire, the elf-horse speeding as if on wings, passed right before the face of the foremost rider. Frodo heard a splash of water. It foamed about his feet. He felt the quick heave and surge as the horse left the river and struggled up the stony path. He was climbing the steep bank. He was across the Ford. But the pursuers were close behind. At the top of the bank the horse halted and turned about neighing fiercely. ...
...with a great efford Frodo sat upright and brandished his sword. 'Go back!' he cried. 'Go back to the Land of Mordor, and follow me no more!' His voice sounded thin and shrill in his own ears. The Riders halted, but Frodo had not the power of Tom Bombadil. His enemies laughed at him with a harsh and chilling laughter. 'Come back! Come back!' they called. 'To Mordor we will take you!' 'Go back!' he whispered. 'The Ring! The Ring!' they cried with deatly voices; and immediately their leader urged his horse forward into the water, followed closely by two others. 'By Elbereth and Luthien the Fair', said Frodo with a last efford, lifting up his sword, 'you shall have neigther the Ring nor me!'Artist: Ted Nasmith Artist: M. Hugo

well I'd like to be this enthusiastic, Gondolin, but we get the chance to submit a mounted idea only once or at best twice per year.... Some of the suggestions here have been suggested several times... some Four times.... in the past... 5 years... that's long to have a "worthy" suggestion win

on a side note I said I would cast my vote on the first turn to Elfhelm, as I said in the past I would support Barliman idea.. I'm true to my word.
We'll see how well the Elessar idea is received
