Thanks to everyone who took part in the submissions so far. For the record, a few ideas did get rejected, which I have posted about already. Chris has finally approved the seven going forward for voting. As usual the vote will be blind until you cast your vote so you will not know the state of the poll until then. The 2nd round will begin next Thursday and go forward into a few days of June, to allow time to complete this month.

Many thanks for the support with the wolf head, I'm happy, hope many of you dear collector fellows are also pleased with the result. And I'm very much looking forward how Gronds wolf-head will be interpreted by Master Chris Tubb. Harry WOLF
It's your turn now dear fellows! I just support and watch this month (unless there are not enough ideas...)

Beorn or Radagast animal's
This month, I propose again a rather unusual miniature: Beorn's animals but which could also be associated with Radagast or even Tom Bombadil. This is a deer with a squirrel on his back, a little bird on his head and a rabbit at his feet. Nothing heroic or historical (no reference to a character named in a book) but a subject that seems to me perfectly in the spirit of Tolkien. This proposal may seem too detailed for a single figure, but it would certainly be too simple for a mounted figure. If Chris considers it too complex for a single figure, he can always simplify and remove the rabbit or the squirrel?

Old man seated before the Paths of the Dead
(Er. I've lost track of this one - it hasn't won yet, has it???)
Tolkien's description provides all the information Chris will need to realise the ancient and doubtless ragged hillman who watched over the Door leading to the dreaded Paths of the Dead - presumably the final living descendant of the Hillmen whom Isildur had cursed:
"...when the Eorlingas came out of the North and passed at length up the Snowbourn, seeking strong places of refuge in time of need, Brego and his son Baldor climbed the Stair of the Hold and so came before the Door. On the threshold sat an old man, aged beyond guess of years; tall and kingly he had been, but now he was withered as an old stone. Indeed for stone they took him, for he moved not, and he said no word, until they sought to pass him by and enter. And then a voice came out of him, as it were out of the ground, and to their amaze it spoke in the western tongue: The way is shut.
'Then they halted and looked at him and saw that he lived still; but he did not look at them. The way is shut, his voice said again, It was made by those who are Dead, and the Dead keep it, until the time comes. The way is shut.
'And when will that time be? said Baldor. But no answer did he ever get. For the old man died in that hour and fell upon his face; and no other tidings of the ancient dwellers in the mountains have our folk ever learned.'

So lets try this again :-) A riding Rohirrim blowing his horn before the charge of Rohan upon the fields of PelennorThe suggestion is just the rider, not the mount, but sculpted so that he fits upon the horse of M201, currently in clearance sale. This makes him a single miniature, but in mounted position. For some reason (probably the rarity of mounted miniatures) we do not have a Rohirrim depicting this iconic moment - to me the climax of the whole trilogy. BTW: I propose to offer them as bundle with M201, too, for those of us who do not have a couple of M201 horses around (which I do...).

The MOUNT of the Mouth of Sauron With the imminent release of TMOS holding up the Mithril coat (and seeing the Youtube clip posted on Mithril's FB page), this month I am going to suggest (possibly re-suggest) the 'mount' upon which he rode out to parley with Gandalf and the Captains of the West. ".....mounted upon a black horse, if horse it was for it was huge and hideous, and its face was a frightful mask, more like a skull than a living head, and in its etes and its nostrils there burned a flame...."I would see the size as that of a large shire horse/Destrier, but pose-wise the Mount is intended to compliment the MoS figure so a static stance maybe. Attached is a very nice depiction of the Mount, but as ever it would be Chris Tubbs' interpretation. Don't forget, MOUNT only

Thorin handling a football ball
So far, no sport reference (except Golf), but it seems Dwarves play football/soccer
"This won't do at all!" said Thorin. "If we don't get blown off or drowned, or struck by lightning, we shall be picked up by some giant and kicked sky-high for a football."
and
"There was a muffled yelp inside, and a toe shot up and kicked the spider straight and hard. There was life in Bombur still. There was a noise like the kicking of a flabby football, and the enraged spider fell off the branch, only catching itself with its own thread just in time."

Aragorn "Strider" blowing upon horn at the Stone of Erech
A single standing figure of Aragorn, still in his ranger garb with some armour (from Rohan) underneath the cloak blowing upon horn. No need of the Stone-globe, for that can easily be made from other materials than lead.
Long had the terror of the Dead lain upon that hill and upon the empty fields about it. For upon the top stood a black stone, round as a great globe, the heigth of a man, though its half was buried in the ground. Unearthly it looked, as through it had fallen from the sky, as some believed; but those who remembered still the lore of Westernesse told it had been brought out of the ruin of Númenor and there set by Isildur at his landing. None of the people of the valley dared to approach it, nor whould they dwell near; for they said it was a trysting-place of the Shadow-men and there they would gather in times of fear, thronging round the Stone and whispering. To that stone the Company came and halted in the dead of night. Then Elrohir gave to Aragorn a silver horn, and he blew upon it; and it seemed to those that stood near that they heard a sound of answering horns, as if it was an echo in deep caves far away. No other sound they heard, and yet they were aware of a great host gathered all about the hill on which they stood; and a chill wind like the breath of ghosts came down from the mountains. But Aragorn .... standing by the Stone he cried in a great voice: 'Oathbreakers, why have ye come?' And a voice was heard out of the night that answered him, as if from far away: 'To fulfil our oath and have peace.'

That comes unexpected, as I have made practically the same suggestion last month. Probably the idea was misunderstood back then.
On the other side, the idea was that the mount is secondary. We could have used ANY standing horse in production, either by using existing greens to make a full mini or by selling them paired. Samples for existing horses in sale are M654, M615, M497 and M547 from the Fellowship range or LR21.
Anyway, I will just suggest a standing Rohirrim horse next month, which will probably not make it, but until it does I will not change my suggestion.
