Thanks to all members who have submitted the ideas or been involved in the comments. There had been some confusion that I believe was caused by my initial wording. The rules are for single figures ONLY. I had mentioned the explanation for vignettes as 'vignette' is an uncommon term that some people might have not understood within the framework of the Fellowship. I hope that clears it up for future releases. The reason we are not accepting multiple figures currently is that we have had delays in production and do not want to amass too many complex ideas while we resolve this delay. But we will eventually allow for multiple figures in the future.
This is the 1st round and the top two or three ideas will go into the final (2nd) round later this month. The second vote begins next Tuesday (Oct 26th) and run until Tuesday Nov 2nd.

GANDALF SMOKING PIPE, CONTEMPLATING
The wizard smoking a pipe evokes images of deep thought, self reflection, and calm.
Any image I conjure in my mind of Gandalf is the contemplatative wizard smoking a long churchwarden style pipe, taking a moment to pause from troubling events or turbulent times.
Standing or seated, as he contemplates events, considers how things may have turned out, or calculates what his next move may be, he does it with pipe in hand.
Gandalf was a pipe smoker, the hobbits were famous smokers of pipe weed, and Tolkien himself was a pipe smoker.
The Mithril collection has MZ624, Tobold Hornblower smoking a pipe and MZ690, Bilbo's first meeting with Gandalf in which Bilbo is smoking a pipe almost as tall as he is.
I feel the collection would be greatly enhanced with the addition of (yes, I know, another Gandalf miniature, but he is fairly integral ) the great wizard smoking a pipe, deep in thought.

I had a new idea! No I'm just kidding... I keep trying my luck with my gypsy.
Wainrider man with whip
The appendices mentioned incursions of the Wainriders in Gondor from 1851 TA, for almost a century.
The appendices A mentionned that the Wainriders were a people, or confederacy, of Men from the East. They journeyed in great wagons, and their chieftains rode chariots in battle.
In the Unfinished Tales, "Cirion and Eorl and the Friendship of Gondor and Rohan", it states that they camped in fortified camps of wagons. Their young women were also trained in arms, and they, along with old men and youths, stayed behind, able to defend their homes from attackers.
The MZ670 Wainrider girl mounted is the very first miniature representing this people (2018 December votes).
To complete, I propose another Gypsy member : a man this time.
He is bearded and has long hair. His head is covered with a bandana tied behind and he wears a thick leather bolero, a wide fabric belt and boots. He is armed with a whip that he wields in front of him and a short scimitar is passed through the belt.

Aragorn as Thorongil
Thorongil was an alias taken by Aragorn in his youth (T.A. 2957-2980[1]), when he journeyed to Rohan and Gondor and performed services to their lords, respectively Thengel of Rohan (father of Theoden), and Echtelion of Gondor (father of Denethor)
I imagine him in a different garb than his regular ranger garb in which he is usually represented in the Mithril range, more like a mercenary or a soldier in armor and maybe a differant hair style as he was younger.

Rebuilding the Rammas With the previous release of Ingold, and the forthcoming release of Gandalf and Pippin on Shadowfax, I am suggesting for this month a Gondorian builder engaged in the repair of the Rammas Echor. I see a man wheeling a barrow upon which a large stone rests, ready to be placed in the wall, his digging tool rests on top (see sketch). He would likely be bare-topped as this would be heavy, sweaty work, his head would have a rag sweat-band. Potentially, if added to the other Mithril releases it might make a nice little scene.

Bifur
I think a good suggestion for the idea of the month is Bifur, membe of Thorin and Company.
I've always hoped that Mithril Miniatures would offer a complete collection of the 13 dwarves from The Hobbit in their travel gear. This would be a great start towards that goal.
Playing off the M155 and M229 Thorin sculptures and, the ever excellent, MS538 Bombur, it would be nice to see Bifur created. Wearing his travel garb with hood, which plays an important role in The Hobbit so they should be clearly present, backpack and/or pouches, a walking-stick, dagger, axe, and his clarinet hanging from his pack. Refer to The Hobbit, Chapter 1, An Unexpected Party.
MX535 An Unexpected Party is an excellent starting point for the sculpture. Alan Lee's art for The Hobbit is great inspiration.

Military Musician of Harad Wearing a "corslet of overlapping brazen plates" as described in the two towers p. 340
Here are some additional quotes about the forces of Harad from the LOTR: "They have black eyes, and long black hair, and gold rings in their ears. And some have red paint on their cheeks, and red cloaks; and their flags are red, and the tips of their spears; and they have round shields, yellow and black with big spikes. Not nice; very cruel wicked Men they look. Almost as bad as Orcs, and much bigger." The Two Towers p. 321 "Displaying his standard, black serpent upon scarlet, he came against the white horse and the green with great press of men; and the drawing of the scimitars of the Southrons was like a glitter of stars." ROTK p. 139 "Out swept his sword and he spurred to the standard, hewed staff and bearer; and the black serpent foundered." ROTK p. 140 "And from the southward fields came footmen of Harad with horsemen before them, and behind them rose the huge backs of the Mumakil with war-towers upon them." ROTK p.144

suggestion is just the figure, the half globe stone can easily be made from other materials
Aragorn "Strider" blowing a horn at the Stone of Erech
Long had the terror of the Dead lain upon that hill and upon the empty fields about it. For upon the top stood a black stone, round as a great globe, the heigth of a man, though its half was buried in the ground. Unearthly it looked, as through it had fallen from the sky, as some believed; but those who remembered still the lore of Westernesse told it had been brought out of the ruin of Númenor and there set by Isildur at his landing. None of the people of the valley dared to approach it, nor whould they dwell near; for they said it was a trysting-place of the Shadow-men and there they would gather in times of fear, thronging round the Stone and whispering. To that stone the Company came and halted in the dead of night. Then Elrohir gave to Aragorn a silver horn, and he blew upon it; and it seemed to those that stood near that they heard a sound of answering horns, as if it was an echo in deep caves far away. No other sound they heard, and yet they were aware of a great host gathered all about the hill on which they stood; and a chill wind like the breath of ghosts came down from the mountains. But Aragorn .... standing by the Stone he cried in a great voice: 'Oathbreakers, why have ye come?' And a voice was heard out of the night that answered him, as if from far away: 'To fulfil our oath and have peace.'

. I shall watch with interest Harry, as I am about to turn my attention back to painting Mithril (other things have been on the menu), and a planned diorama is the Stone of Erech

I've been wanting the same thing for years, too! Decades, actually. I think these two are as good a place to start (or continue) as any.

Did you realize that it is a single figure month? Whould be a pity if your suggestion being cancelled, because named characters are always great

Whould be a pity if your suggestion being cancelled, because named characters are always great I took this part of above as 2 is okay: “more than 2 people…” If I’m wrong I can live with that. I still would love to see a set like this for The Hobbit at some point.

Theoden appeared several times in the Mithril range: in his evening clothes (M27), mounted (M260, LT06), dying (MB279), sitting on his throne (MV361), dead (MV419)… but we don’t have him yet in armor on foot, so this is my suggestion for this month :
King Theoden, in full armor, defending the walls of Helm’s Deep

I think the wording is causing a bit of confusion - but the opening statement does say 'Single' figure month This month's ideas is for single figures only, so no mounted or Vignettes (more than 2 people or a lot of furniture + two people) please. A mounted figure counts as two figures (horse/camel/warg/etc)I know it looks like two figures are permitted, but we have been doing this long enough to know that (unless CT gets a creative flair and decides to expand on an idea) Single figure means a Single figure . Personally, rather than lose your suggestions, why not rephrase (Merry stabbing at the Witch-King might inspire CT to sculpt the WK as well ) or revise

Wounded and stumbling Witch-kingFrom Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King - The Battle of the Pelennor Fields: "But suddenly he too stumbled forward with a cry of bitter pain, and his stroke went wide, driving into the ground." Ok, ddaines are right. So I rephrase my suggestion. (But: "not > 2" means (<= 2) )

The brackets explain what a vignette is because I realise not everyone would know what that word means. I had assumed people knew what 'single' was.
