Happy New Year everyone. The lists are accepted and Chris is extremely excited by all these wonderful ideas. I have divided them up into their appropriate months with the tags [DEC] and [JAN]. PLEASE take a minute to read the rules below: - You have TWO votes to use. Use them or lose them.
- Only vote for one idea PER month. If you vote for two ideas in the same month you are cancelling out your vote.
- You will see the result after voting in the poll. This blind method gives every idea a fair start.
- Be aware that the ranking system (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc) may mislead you on what is winning. The forum does not handle a two list in one poll setup so ignore that. I will select the most popular from EACH month to go into the next round.
Please comment on why you choose your preferred ideas, even if you had not originally submitted them, as that may presuade others to support them too. The next final round will begin on the 18th.

Merrry Christmas everyone .... I think I may have suggested these before, but here goes for another attempt as both will compliment each other. Apologies they are two familiar characters, but in my opinion it is from a pivotal scene in the book.....[Dec]Aragorn on the Pass of CarahdrasAragorn would be carrying one of the two hobbits very tightly to his body, his hair and cloak would be windswept as the Fellowship attempt to escape the snow and 'fell-voices' [Jan] Boromir on the Pass of CarahdrasBoromir would be carrying one of the two hobbits who at Boromir's instruction, is carried on Boromir's back as he needed his arms free to clear the snow, his hair and cloak would be windswept as the Fellowship attempt to escape the snow and 'fell-voices'. Maybe his shield could be incorporated into the figure, perhaps placed on his back acting as some form of shelter. I appreciate this is a single figure, but I'm sure that two hobbits, partially obscured by the design of cloaks 'Blowin in the Wind' could make the 'footprint' of figures small enough to pass the criteria. Obviously we have the two Uruks carrying Merry and Pippin.

And again - like in the last years - the chance to suggest a PAIR of minis (to be made in two months) for a single vote is lost. No use to suggest any pairing that only works if both get made.
:-(
As DDaines suggestion could be such a combined suggestion, perhaps that rule can still be changed for this year?
Suggest two minis that work together, for just a single vote for DEC/JAN?

The Three Trolls worked out well in the end (I don't think there was a Dec/Jan vote involved), but once one of them won, the other two followed

Thorin arming Bilbo at The Lonely Mountain
December - Bilbo with mithril mail, pearl belt, and light helm January- Thorin with a mail coat, axe in a jewel crusted belt
“Now the dwarves took down mail and weapons from the walls, and armed themselves. Royal indeed did Thorin look, clad in a coat of gold-plated rings, with a silver-hafted axe in a belt crusted with scarlet stones. “Mr Baggins!” he cried. “ Here is the first payment of your reward! Cast off your old coat and put on this!” With that he put on Bilbo a small coat of mail, wrought for some young elf-prince long ago. It was of silver-steel, which the elves call mithril, and with it went a belt of pearls and crystals. A light helm of figured leather strengthened beneath with hoops of steel, and studded about the brim with white gems, was set upon the hobbit’s head”
I imagine this as either two stand-alone figures or a vignette. The former would fill the void of having an armored hobbit to use in gaming, and a royally armed Thorin would be useful as well. The latter would capture the moment better with Bilbo perhaps holding the mithril coat in his outstretched hands in admiration and Thorin preparing to give helm and belt while closely watching Bilbo’s reaction. I trust Mr. Tubb’s judgement as to which would be better.

Rohir laying on ground defending himself against attacking warg with his shield and the rest of his broken spear. (DEC) Warg attacking on ground laying Rohir. (JAN) You need to follow the rules or your post might get missed. Chris seems to have missed it this time. Look at Ddaines post for how to make a suggestion. Some others did quite well too, some did less well in terms of posting their ideas. We did not miss your ideas deliberately, but Chris simply missed yours when he sent me the list of approved ideas.
