Voting is CLOSED. Winner was Mounted Halbarad. Thanks for the latest batch of suggestions. I had to leave out several vignette ideas , albeit reluctantly , as this month we are opting for a single figure. We will alternate between the single figure option and the vignette so please include them again in October. I particularly liked Imrahil with the wounded Faramir. Bombur again would be a great subject , but he counts as a vignette as he needs several dwarf attendants. The most unusual suggestion this month, in my opinion, is Queen Beruthiel, which I have never thought of making, but I must admit has a certain appeal, and the idea has grown on me since it first came on a previous vote. Anyway, we shall see in a couple of weeks. Chris Tubb ;D
I think all our fans will be satisfied at the list of 11 options to vote for. Remember one vote per member. You can add your personal comment why you voted for that option as well. Also if you see two choices you like, you can always suggest one next month again for the next round. So choose wisely as Gandalf might say. If you want to ask questions or make unrelated comments then DO NOT add it to this topic. Use the 'questions' thread. Have fun.

Well, I cast my vote for the "nefarious and loveless" Queen B. I have always liked C.T's miniatures of periferous subjects like this. I sort of expands this whole imaginary world. I do hope it will be modelled with all the 10 cats by the way.

The Rangers need representation. Halbarad, of course.

Well, I'm off on holiday in the morning, and it'll all have been decided by the time I return! But I'm voting for Halbarad rather than my own suggestion of Eorl, because I feel that the tide is still in Hal's favour at this point, and I wouldn't want my vote to prove a wasted one if it came to a close-run thing between Halbarad and a challenger!

I also voted for Halbarad and would have even if poor Bombur had made the ballot! The big guy had some words to say about weight discrimination, but I have a feeling he'll be back next month...

Blazes there's some great suggestions, again. Michael, is there any chance you could hang onto all of the unsuccessful suggestions that go in, over time, as while only one will get up this month, they're all great. If we kept a record somewhere it would mean we didn't forget about any of them - maybe put it somewhere near the fellowship gallery on the site? That way, we can go back to the list in the future for inspiration.
As for this month, I think Halbarad has my vote, as he's been a good contender a few months in a row now but been beaten out by particularly high-profile options (Aragorn and Boromir, Sauron - there's nay much that can be done to contend with those characters!)

It's time to get Halbarad done, even all the others are good suggestions too.

I'm going for Queen B and her moggies as I'm also in complete agreement with Hammershield's comments (hopefully 10 cats won't mean it's classed as a multi figure set). I think it is only a matter of time before Halbarad has his day (perhaps a Path's of the Dead box set? please), and I'm sure Bombur will appear at some stage with the other dwarves.

It's a great idea to have a single mini. I don't know if I will be able to afford the price of two vignettes. This time, I'll vote for Halbarad so Wendy, this is your chance.

Yeah, I agree with the other fellows, who want to see Halbarad! He is still missing to my collection and so I vote for him too.
And I agree with opou about suggestions for single or at least a couple of figures, I am a full blooded collector full of understanding and love for special mithril miniatures but if the (realistic) price of a vignette is always going to be the same as for a dragon, I will not be able keep up, I'm sorry.
What do the other fellowship members think about making vignettes only every 4th or 6th month, and keep the mean times with suggestions for beloved special single figure characters like Cirdan, Bombur or Queen Beruthiel?
So long, Harald Wolf from Germany

I agree. 3 vignettes per year and the rest single minis. Or else we all will be leaving in the streets

I voted for Cirdan. One of my friends named his son after him, and I would love to give him a painted Cirdan as a present. (he already got the Cirdan from the LR range)

I have to say it is strange that money has become an issue. I thought the fellowship was meant to be for the most dedicated of collectors. If people really want all the figures then they will buy them, nobody makes them do it. The fellowship would be unique if most of the figures were vignettes or boxed sets as the standard m series covers individual figures. I can see the logic in alternating between figures and vignettes from a design point of view as vignettes take more time. It is meant to be a customer orientated group so if the majority of people vote for individual figures then they will dominate the collection and vice versa with vignettes. So it is up to individuals to decide.
This is just my view on the matter but nobody is right or wrong, some people can afford to keep buying vignettes while others would like more affordable figures. As I said make your votes count.

I thought the fellowship was meant to be for the most dedicated of collectors. If people really want all the figures then they will buy them, nobody makes them do it. Maybe "makes" is too strong a word, but... "In order to cover our costs all we ask is that members agree to buy at least 9 different figures a year from the Fellowship range." If all nine are vignettes, and they all cost the same as Death of Boromir, that's roughly 440 Euro a year when you add shipping. By comparison, nine single figures are about 180 Euro a year. Personally my Fellowship budget is closer to 180 Euro a year. I respectfully disagree that the most dedicated collectors are the collectors with the largest budgets.

I voted for the wolf-rider of Saruman, because it was my suggestion and i think the army of Saruman isn't complete without an wolf-rider.

I respectfully disagree that the most dedicated collectors are the collectors with the largest budgets. I totally agree with your comment. I was stating that the fellowship was for the most dedicated of collectors not on the size of peoples budgets. There is the exictement of scraping the money together to buy just one more figure. I was just pointing out that we the people voted for the vignettes and that most of the suggestions have been vignettes. These will inevitably cost more.

I think the cost of vignettes might have caught some of us off guard. Silly me ;D I was still thinking of terms of the 20+ US dollars the old vignettes cost back when the Mithril Fellowship first got started. True, there's general inflation, but I think our general imaginations might have outstripped our budgets I very much appreciate Mithril's acceptance of a proposed cost control. Overseas shipping... Speaking of overseas, I voted for Cirdan. Looks like Halbarad will take the crown this month, but I've often been accused of "spitting in the wind" so I went with Cirdan.

Well, I do not think that there should be a limit of vignettes that can be made per year. It should be how ever the voting goes each month to decide what is ultimately made. I know that there should only be a few huge vignettes made per year, but that doesnt means that there are no other smaller scenes which can be done, which would be more cost effective. Like Pippin stealing the Palantir from Gandalf, or the Pyre of Denethor, with a crazed Denethor standing over a passed out Faramir, on a pile of wood. stuff like that.
