This vote is over. 2nd round has begun. "Unfortunately, like all mortals we are not permitted to set foot on the undying lands and therefore cannot make Elbereth or any of the Valar. That aside, there are many superb suggestions to choose from this month. I have combined the suggestions of Gildor and Aelfwine into an Elf-lord, which could be used as Glorfindel or even a First-age Elven captain. I have excluded Farmer Maggot with his pony cart and Durnhelm with Merry on horse as being too large for the single-figure month, though I have kept Faramir and Eowyn as I have a penchant for romantic scenes. I have also left out the Umbar suggestions, as the Corsairs are due out as a regular Mithril release this year. I particularly like the solution suggested this month to the Gothmog problem (an armored and somewhat misshapen figure who may or may not be human.). That would make a very interesting figure, as would the Lossoth hunter and "Last stand" of king Brand of Dale." by Chris Tubb.
I think all our fans will be satisfied at the list of 15 options to vote for. Remember one vote per member for this round of voting. You can add your personal comment why you voted for that option as well. Vote ends April 25th. Vote for your favourite. On the 25th I will start a second vote on the 4 or 5 most popular suggestions. This will allow you to vote again to decide on the final winner. That vote ends May 2nd. Remember you can always resubmit an idea another month to try again. Next month is open to all types of suggestions again. We will start taking suggestions on the 3rd of May.

As ever, the choice is harder than that of Master Samwise. I might be rather 'Entish' on this and give it some careful thought.
Very promising news on the Thorin idea, hope it goes to (Chris's)plan.
David.

I voted for Eowyn and Faramir. Couples have allways been one of the best Chris's minis in my opinion. Gwindor and Finduilas is a great one.

My vote is for Glorfindel (Elf-lord of Rivendell) armoured. I've always been partial to elves especially warriors in armour ( I love painting armour). Anyway keep up the good work Chris.

Well, I am not a fan of the gothic-plate armour look of the high elves in armour, and I've already made my own d**n good mounted Glorfindel (a cross conversion between the MC one and the LR one), so my natural inclination to vote Glorfindel is gone.
I love my rangers, though, so I voted for the Ranger in tracking pose. It probably won't win. I don't think i've ever voted for anything that did win:) However, I shall keep up the good fight!

Hi There are already figures representing Glorfindel (M142), Gothmog (M145), Merry and Legolas (how many?), Ranger (M437 and LR21). So I prefer a new theme: Lossoth hunter. Support it! (But Brand is a great theme too!) And I'm glad to read that Chris is working on an Umbar release!!!! bye krosbone

Since Eorl obviously isn't in the running yet again (I'm beginning to think someone may have nobbled his horse...) I've opted to go with my 'Trumpeting Ent' suggestion from a couple of months back, revived by Motel. It's already looking pretty sure who the half-dozen front-runners are likely to be, all of them worthy contenders.

I don't think that M145 represents Gothmog.

Yes, I'm sure that M145 doesn't represent Gothmog, leader of Sauron's army but The Mouth of Sauron, who has no other name !! Gothmog could be an orc leader, a black numenorean (as The Mouth of Sauron) or a wraith (but not a Nazgûl, because Nazgûl mean in black speach ringwraith (Nazg -> ring ; gûl -> Servant).
I didn't vote for Gothmog but I like idea that this character can take appearence in Mithril range figures... (as all of other suggestions !!!)

Hi all,
I suggested the Lossoth Hunter, and hope those who haven't voted yet will consider how Chris would be able to unleash his creativity regarding this piece. The Lossoth are mentioned briefly as being in Bilbo's Red Book of Westmarch. They are an indigenous northern people who live off the land in the area around the Ice Bay of Forochel. Clad in furs and leathers to keep out the cold, with a chain of polar bear teeth, a long dagger in a belt of many pouches, and club (or barbed spear) in hand, Chris could make a masterpiece of this strange figure. Few cultures mentioned in the works of JRRT have yet to be tested by the skill of Chris.
Let him have a chance to see what he can do with a Lossoth!
Thanks, twrich (buhman)

I'l scrap my sugestion fpr the Kine of Araw for the Lossoth hunter. I always favoured the more obscure aspects of ME since, these days, the more obvious dramatis personae have been done so many times part of their mystery is starting to disappear.
Anyway, hopefully some day Mithril will, as previoulsy suggested, one day produce a range monsters and beasts.

Hi Of course, I've made a mistake ;D. M145 is representing The Mouth of Sauron (who has no other name) and not Gothmog Captain of Barad-Dur. Bye krosbone

Eorl's not out of it yet Barly, although I'd probably put my money on the Ent, Lossoth hunter (nice suggestion ), Faramir and, for a dark horse, Brand making it into round 2. It's good to see Beregond getting a good run as well. Once more, all brilliant suggestions, and I'd buy the lot (although not all in one go!) if they were available (I'm confident Chris would do well with all of them). But I'll vote for Eorl, if only so that he'll double his vote tally to date in this month alone!

Generous as ever, Axe! But like you, I consider that so many of the other suggestions are worthwhile that I won't be entirely heartbroken if Felarof once again proves that Tolkien may have exaggerated the speed of the Mearas... There's always next month.

Thanks for the compliment, Axe99. I have done a little research regarding Middle-earth Races/Cultures that Chris has not represented yet, and thought of a Lossoth Hunter.
