I know I may seem to repeat myself or even others, I just really think that a Dol Amroth series would be very cool... Now , I just read back some articles from Chris Tubb in Tengwar, mentionning he did not want to make a Sauron or any Vala figurines because of the notion of horror, but since that time, many great illustrators, and also movies have given "image" to Sauron at least during the Second Age, and at the battle of the Last Alliance... Besides, you made wonderful figurines for the nine Nazgul (from ICE backgrounds and descriptions) for the LR series, so a Sauron a little bit Taller, with a great but dread battle armor would fit perfectly according to me...(not necessarily the same as in the movie, or it could be thought a GW plaggia) Now, I would be interested in your opinion about such a figurine... indeed it would have very little impact on wargaming fans, but rather collector fans like myself, but nonetheless interesting... Why not a figurine of a "mad" Denethor with the Palantir of Minas Tirith, as I just think about it? (well I hope I'll get an answer for my Sauron idea...)

Have there been figures made of Pippin and Merry in their respective armors for Rohan and Gondor? I am fairly new to the Mithril line, so I am not familiar with some of the older and more limited releases. Perhaps a scene from the Shire at the end of ROTK where the hobbits take back the Shire from Sharku (Saruman)? How about the watcher at Moria? Or the fellowship waiting to enter Moria with the lovely Holly trees? Old Man Willow with hobbits sticking out of them?

Well Pippin in Gondor armor (very cool)along with Bergil has been made (M196, Minas Tirith series) and Merry in Rohan armor... I think we only see it (if we see it) in the scene with Eowyn and the Witch King box set.... We also see Frodo and Sam disguised like orcs (M327) Lotho and Lobelia Sackville-baggins (M352), along with hobbits being Sheriff and Mayor (M355)have been made too quite recently , but Saruman, Ted Sandyman and Grima in the Shire, I don't think they have been made
I really wonder how the watcher in the water could be made, maybe in a box set... due to the size... There are also the silent watchers of Cirith Ungol....

I don't think I've annoyed anyone on this subject for about a month. Might it not be worth Mithril's while to create a new "Middle Earth adventurer's series" to go along with the new Lord of the Rings RPG. Some of these could be brand new, but others could be drawn from the older range. Maybe Mithril should go talk to Decipher and see about making minis to go with the new LOTR game instead of with MERP. Yes, I'll stop now! Gavin

Hmmm...other thought.
Remember the Warbands? Well release those figures, but in blisters of two as part of a "Black Gate" range.
Throw in a few "classic" Rohan warriors, and the Dunedain of the north, and that would also be a lovely little range.
We already have the Mouth of Sauron and that excellent Olog Hai...

The SCOURING of THE SIRE series would be great. Saruman (the chief), Bill Ferny, Shirrifs, ruffians, fighting hobbits.....

As I happen to be reading The Hobbit (again), how about William, Tom, and Bert - the trolls near the beginning of the story that Gandalf tricks. Perhaps Bert holding Bilbo by his toes? Do we submit our wishes for the third starter pack here in the wish list section or in the comments? It's nice of you to ask for input. By the way, I like the new newsletter! Thanks for the work you're putting in Michael O'Brien.

I am really in favour of these thoughts about the warbands. Unfortunately mithril has not the permission to produce these kind of sets in spite of having a wargaming product. But before thinking of new warbands, there are 2 warbands missing (Sarumans orcs and the dwarfs . . .

My top-10-most-wanted-Mithrils list...
1. Beren and Luthien (I know, I know, the license issue, but they're mentioned many times in LOTR)
2. Bombur
3. Thorin's Company, most especially Bombur
4. Haldir of Lorien
5. Bombur
6. Oliphant
7. Beregond (32mm size)
8. Bombur
9. Roac (talking raven from Hobbit)
10. Bob (Nob's friend). Also, Bombur.

I take it you would like to get Bombur then? I have told Chris Tubb about the Message Board and I printed out the entire Wish List and gave it to him last month when he visited us in Kilnamartya, Macroom, Co.Cork. We have plans for new LO's and have the new Battle of Mirkwood group coming next year but your comments are being watched and noted. There is no reason why bombur could not be included. Perhaps with the other dwarfs and Bilbo. We release series so we try to stick to a theme.

Great, Michael. As it stands, I'm using some of the generic dwarves as the Company members, but there aren't any of sufficient girth to be Bombur.

Hi i would really like to see a vignette of the death of Boromir: Boromir is lying on the ground and Aragorn kneels beside him, just placed back Boromir's sword on his chest and holds Boromir's hand in the last moment of Boromir's live. ( Boromir dies then after he was hit by many arrows of the Orcs and half orcs and has many arrows still in his chest/body) also along the side are Gimly and Legolas as they watch Boromir in this sad moment. I think this would make a lovely addition to the Mithril sets, there is a set with the fellowship but not yet a figure from the time the fellowship broke up in a way.

Oh i also have another idea, how about if it was possible to order spare parts for the figures? I have had many times i bought an older figure but it was missing a part like a weapon or shield and all. I thought it would be great if it was possible to order these separate as well so you could complete older figures that are missing things or when something breaks when you assemble a figure. I got a figure now i cannot complete, M7 for instance, i have no spear or shield for it and i cannot even find a new figure to replace it. Just a thought here, don't know if this is possible though.

I doubt we would sell packets of shields or swords but if a part does break or is lost contact us and I am sure we can help you on an individual basis. We make the figures so we may find replacement weapons for figures that are in production at present. If you want some part belonging to an old M we no longer sell then we would not be able to replace it as the mould is not in use any more. Merry Christmas ;D

I have the Ringwraith and Hobbit vingette. The hobbit on the end has a broken foot. Can I get the hobbit replaced? Would I send the broken hobbit back to Mithril? (Sorry this isn't really on topic.)
To justify my post in the wish list section...Has a miniature of Rosie Cotton been made yet? Or a Vingette with King Aragorn, Queen Arwen and Elanor? (Does the rights include the Appendix??)

Hi, Wendy. I hope you and Michael don't mind if I butt in here with what I like to think of as "information."
Mithril produced Rose Gamgee & Goldilocks (M357) as part of the Hobbits of the Shire range. I didn't have too much trouble finding this one online. If you do a google search for M357 Rose or something to that effect, you can find this item for sale.
MS298 is King Elessar and Queen Arwen (no Eleanor, unfortunately). According to the Mithril price list, this item is available to Mithril Fellowship members. It's easily my favorite Fellowship miniature.
Good luck!
