Thanks to all members who have submitted the ideas or been involved in the comments. There had been some confusion that I believe was caused by my initial wording. The rules are for single figures ONLY. I had mentioned the explanation for vignettes as 'vignette' is an uncommon term that some people might have not understood within the framework of the Fellowship. I hope that clears it up for future releases. The reason we are not accepting multiple figures currently is that we have had delays in production and do not want to amass too many complex ideas while we resolve this delay. But we will eventually allow for multiple figures in the future.
This is the 1st round and the top two or three ideas will go into the final (2nd) round later this month. The second vote begins next Tuesday (Oct 26th) and run until Tuesday Nov 2nd.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the last voting round. This final round will decide which idea goes into production. You have the rest of the month to take part. We will announce the winner on Oct 1st. Please remember to comment too, as there will be plenty of voters who need to choose a new idea to champion if their previous choice was dropped. This poll will have the current status visible at all times so you can see the trend and can vote strategically if you so choose.

Good News this month. All the suggested ideas were passed by Chris Tubb and so go forward to be voted on. Please remember you have one vote so use it wisely. Its a blind poll until after you vote so only after you vote will you see the current status. Comments are always welcome to flesh out why you support an idea or disagree with another. This vote will run about a week and then the top two or three will go forward into the final round.

There were three very popular choices that have gone forward for the 2nd round. Due to the lack of time this is a very short vote, less than a week. You have until the start of Friday 3rd to take part (GMT+1).
Please remember to comment on why you think one idea is superior to encourage undecided voters to support you.

Chris has rejected the Argonath as too big and the Beorn's animals as too many. We need one more idea to continue.

Due to the lack of suitable suggestions last week we extended the deadline and have now sufficient ideas to move forward to vote on. Please note that this poll is only going to show the status after voting. You have until next Monday to vote. The top two will go into a quick final vote then.
Two of the suggestions were not allowed, the deer and the argonath.
Please comment to support your favourite as well as there will be a lot of undecided voters to convince.

Thanks to all members who have submitted the new ideas and for all those who have commented and voted. 'Eowyn with the Fell beast head' gained the early lead and is the current favourite but favourites can change in the 2nd round. This poll will be open until August 3rd due to the Irish bank holiday weekend. Please take a moment to include a comment as well. Remember even if you had not voted for the current list, you should still take part as one of these will go into production and you should have your say as to which that will be.

Thanks for all the wonderful ideas, yet again. The vote has begun and you have a week to take part. The 2nd vote will be next Friday and will have the top two or three ideas going forward. Now unfortunately not all ideas did make it through the screening by Chris. He gives his reasoning here. "I have rejected the two suggestions of the Rohirrim horse and the Mouth of Sauron horse. I like to make horse and rider at the same time. It always makes for a more convincing vignette. So I suggest that these should be for a mounted figure month. Also the Goblin and Dwarf prisoner as this is two figures." So these ideas are not blocked from resubmission for months with a different mandate. Patience is a virtue, as they say.
Don't forget to comment and support your favourite idea or ideas. One vote per member however.

The three contenders are clear and brought forward into the 2nd round. This final round will run until the end of the month. Please note that this is an open vote, which means you will always see the current status of the poll BEFORE voting to allow you to easily understand the 'lay of the land' when strategically placing your final vote. Every vote counts and even one vote can sway the outcome, and has often done so. Please take time to comment too, if possible, to let others know why you support any idea. This should be a practice everyone should consider, not just the original submitter of the contesting ideas. Even if you voted in the 1st round for some other idea, you are still faced with a choice and should give your reasons for doing so, after all, they are all interesting ideas and careful consideration is never a waste of time.

Attacking Bat-Creatures I have a feeling that I know what the Mounted figure suggestion will be for this month so I will suggest a complimentary release for MZ695 – Mirkwood Elf Fighting Arial Foe. Based upon M108: The Silent Shadow (the way the figure billows forward) my suggestion is for a ‘pillar’ of attacking bats that are swarming towards the Mirkwood Elf. The design I envisage as being one of two options: 1. The bats are engulfing another elf, or even a Lake-Town warrior (this is to give support to the pillar of bats), or 2. The pillar is made up entirely of bats, and ideally these would be large enough to have some nice detail on them, I would even suggest that they are not true bats but may have some ‘twisted’ features that are almost human – this would give the impression that a ‘dark-force’ had corrupted some creatures. With the new MZ way of designing figures this is possibly a lot more feasible now (sketch is a concept idea ) This is rejected on two grounds, risks coming close to the films, and impossible to cast.

Good news and bad news. Bad news is this idea is rejected, but the reason is we are doing it for the MZ700.

Another idea is to create a hobbit of the Shire by the name of Hugo Boffin husband of Donnamira Took.
I could be a part of the small people of the Shire to create with already made other figures the community of the Shire folksPLEASE READ THE RULES before posting. ONE idea per member. This idea is rejected as it exceeds the total allowed.

The watcher at the water This strange creature needs a lot of imagination how it looks. There are several sugested forms of it but the only thing we have is a description in the books. One way it looks like a kind of octopus and others looks like the roots of plant or tree. Anyway it is one of the most important parts of the travel of the Fellowshipof the Rings and as far as I know never a serious try was done in creation this item. This idea will be rejected. PLEASE READ THE RULES before posting.

Thanks to all members who have taken the time and given their creative ideas this month. Some suggestions are rejected for various reasons. I posted separate posts addressing them below. The current list is sufficient to proceed. This vote will expire on Tuesday 22nd. A second vote will begin the next day. Standard practice for 1st round is that you only see the status of the poll after voting.
Please remember you can always add more support for any idea, even if you did not originally submit it, if you like the idea.
Any idea that failed to meet the criteria, might be able to be submitted under different circumstances, depending on why it was rejected. Please don't be upset if your idea did not make it through this month.

Welcome back, The final vote is open so you will always see the current status before you submit your vote. There are three contenders and while the Watch-guard has a lead, its VERY narrow so all three could win the final vote. Please remember you are welcome to submit your comments too, so that people who are undecided can be swayed to support your idea.
For people who had not previously voted for any of the finalists, you should still take part and vote as the winning idea will be part of Mithril history and may be part of your collection, so have a say which you prefer. They are all interesting ideas, so whichever eventually wins will open up a world of possible ideas for dioramas.

We need one more suggestion to meet the criteria of seven for this month. The Rohirrim rider is rejected.

So lets try this again :-) A riding Rohirrim blowing his horn before the charge of Rohan upon the fields of PelennorThe suggestion is just the rider, not the mount, but sculpted so that he fits upon the horse of M201, currently in clearance sale. This makes him a single miniature, but in mounted position. For some reason (probably the rarity of mounted miniatures) we do not have a Rohirrim depicting this iconic moment - to me the climax of the whole trilogy. BTW: I propose to offer them as bundle with M201, too, for those of us who do not have a couple of M201 horses around (which I do...). This is not practical and has been rejected. M201 is out of production.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the submissions so far. For the record, a few ideas did get rejected, which I have posted about already. Chris has finally approved the seven going forward for voting. As usual the vote will be blind until you cast your vote so you will not know the state of the poll until then. The 2nd round will begin next Thursday and go forward into a few days of June, to allow time to complete this month.

Thanks to all members who have taken part in the first round. There were three contenders that got through. The head of Grond had a slight lead by 3 votes. Remember to comment as you can sway those who are undecided with a quote, some reasoning and/or a wonderful drawing or image. As this month ends on Friday. I decided to leave it to the following Monday (May 3rd) to end the vote.

Thanks everyone for suggesting more great ideas. Chris has approved all of them but noted that he cannot have arrows protruding from Wormtongue so that will have to be adjusted. Arrows are simply too tiny to cast individually. You could modify the figure similar to how collectors did to the Boromir's death vignette and add arrows later.
This is the first round so you will only see the current status AFTER you submit your vote on the poll. As always we recommend comments to encourage undecided voters to support your idea. Every vote counts so make sure you post yours in time. You have a week so that should be easy.
The second vote begins next Friday and runs until the end of the month. The top two or three get into it. Ties get broken by Chris if they happen (and they do happen).

Thanks to all members who have taken part so far. There was a clear winner from the 1st round and two tied for 2nd place. However, as usual, there are plenty of undecided voters that can sway the result massively. This vote will expire on April 1st UTC+1.
Please remember to add comments as that helps others to see your point of view on why one idea has more merit than another. Your contribution may change the course of the vote and win the day.

Thanks for all the current selection of ideas. Most got through and there was one exception and that was Beorn's animals. We will have two rounds of voting as usual and also the first round is a blind vote so you will only see the current status of the poll after you post your vote.
Please remember you are encouraged to comment on your idea, or on the ideas of others. Sometimes a good point can sway those undecided and make a runner up become a winner.

Thanks to all members who took part in the previous vote. The top three made it through to this round. You have one vote to choose your favourite and this round will show the current status of the poll all the time. The vote ends at the beginning of March UTC. Remember you can and should comment on why you voted. Sometimes a single vote can change the outcome.

By my reckoning something seems to be going adrift with the voting. The December figure has 49 votes and the January figure has 45 votes. Surely both totals should be the same? Some people used their vote on two Dec ideas instead of following the rules. There seems to be two that did that.

Monday UPDATE: Vote restarted due to error in voting amount. I redid it so everyone has two votes now. Sorry.
These are the top finalists for both months. We will run this until Feb 3rd. Please include comments to support your favourite ideas to help encourage undecided voters. PLEASE make sure you only add your vote to one idea PER month. Check the [DEC] and [JAN] tags. Please remember that the poll may not rank the finalists accurately if there is a disparity in how the voting is distributed. We base the winners PER month and how many votes received.

No problem. Approval makes the difference between fantasy miniatures (which are plenty) and Mithril minis, based upon LotR :-) I should get the list on Monday. Things have really messed up the plan this month. We may bleed into Feb a bit to get the votes done.
