Thanks to all members who have taken part in the poll so far. We had a tie for second place so I added them into the final. This is an open vote so you will always see the current state of the poll before voting.
Include comments to flesh out why you support your favourite idea, even if you did not support it in the first round. There has to be one winner so any future tie will be broken by Chris Tubb, as stated in the club rules.
This poll will close on July 3rd.

It looks like we are not remotely near to the minimum amount of ideas this month so we will extend the list until we do.

We had a delay due to insufficient ideas being submitted, but eventually we reached the required amount of seven. Boromir was excluded as it was a recent winner that has already been sculpted but not yet released.
You have one vote and this poll will only show the current status after you submit your vote. This is to give all ideas an even chance of support. The final round will be next Tuesday and we will run that until July 3rd.
Don't forget to include comments on why you support an idea to help convince others to support your idea. Every vote counts.

Congratulations to the finalists, they have shown sufficient support to make it to the final round of voting. I appreciate some people would want me to include more but the goal of the final round is to reduce finalists so we get a decisive vote. So unless there is a tie for second place (or first) then we will go with the top two. This final round is an open poll so you will always see the current status. As usual any tie will be broken by Chris Tubb as we need one idea to win. Please include comments on why you support your favourite idea, even if you did not originally submit it or vote on it in the previous round. There are a lot of undecided voters and a good argument can sway them. Every vote counts.

We are still short at least one idea. Some of the ideas are potentially risky so perhaps supply a few more to keep within the seven idea rule.

I am sure that it must have been announced somewhere that stocks were low, but it appears that the FotR boxed set is now out of stock; I guess this is both the new and the old versions . Fortunately I do have a set, but was looking at purchasing a second (remodelled set) as some of the figures are very adaptable for other projects. While it's only a minor thing for me and I can use other figures of the same character, I am surprised that of ALL the boxed sets this one has become unavailable/out of stock as for many LotR fans this surely must be a 'foundation' point for a collection of Mithril figures, as well as being the title of the first book of the trilogy. Are there any plans to re-stock or produce the same boxed set in resin? I added them back into stock today.

It will be back in stock. I will check the status today. I believe there was some issue with getting primer that may have slowed the replacements.

Two of the ideas did not pass Chris's scrutiny. Elros for license reasons and the Happy Ent for complexity reasons. However the other seven ideas are included and you can vote on them today.
This is a blind vote for the first round, as we normally want all ideas to get an equal shot from the start. You will see the status of the poll after submitting your vote.
Please include comments on why you like your idea or why you think it should get priority over the contenders. Such actions can sway undecided voters.

The Ranger with harp won the first round but we have seen the tables turn when the undecided voters get involved. Thanks to everyone who has taken part. We appreciate all interactions with these polls. The goal is to make sure the winners of each month are clearly representative of the decisions by our members (license allowing). This is an open poll so you will always see the current state of the poll.

Thanks for all the new ideas submitted this month. I wanted to wait until I got full confirmation on them before starting the vote. All were approved. So that is a good start. This is the first round so we are hoping to find two or three that will go forward to the final round later this month. Please note that the first round always hides the current status of the poll to give every idea an equal chance at support. You will see the state after voting, not before. Feel free to comment on your reasons to vote for your favourite idea, even if you did not submit it, as that can sway undecided voters. Every vote counts so please take part.

Any reason for only two finalists this time around? The goal is to bring forward the most popular finalists to get a decisive result. Sometimes you have a third idea that either tied or was only a single vote off. This time there was enough of a difference to only include the top two.

Thanks for all the new suggestions and the voting. We have a favourite and a close runner up so they have gone forward to the final round. This final vote ends on April 3rd. Remember you can comment on why you support an idea even if you did not originally submit it or even vote for it in the last round.

Great News. All the ideas were approved by Chris Tubb today. You have until the 27th to vote on them. We will start the 2nd and final round at that time. Please note that you will only see the current status of the Poll after voting.
As usual feel free to comment on why you favour one idea to encourage others to support that idea.

Thanks to all members who have taken part so far. You have until the end of this month to vote. There are three contenders but the leading idea from the 1st round was "Queen of the dead", submitted by ddaines.
This is an open vote so you will always see the current state of the poll. Remember to add comments in favour of your idea as this can sway undecided voters and every vote counts as some of these races come right down to a single vote difference.

Hello everybody, new member here (some may know me as Gabriele in the Facebook group). I can't believe this has never been suggested, maybe it was and I missed it. EÄRENDILThis character, the half-elven father of Elrond and Elros, is mentioned many times in LotR and in 'Many Meetings' chapter Bilbo sings a song giving a detailed description of him: "In panoply of ancient kings, in chainéd rings he armoured him; his shining shield was scored with runes to ward all wounds and harm from him; his bow was made of dragon-horn, his arrows shorn of ebony, of silver was his habergeon, his scabbard of chalcedony; his sword of steel was valiant, of adamant his helmet tall, an eagle-plume upon his crest,
upon his breast an emerald."
Later it is mentioned that he was crowned with a Silmaril, so he should have a jewel on his brow or perhaps a small crown instead of a helm.
Earendil is not within the scope of our licence. Please choose another idea.

A crebain flock flying or soaring from branches
The wizard of Orthanc would be pleased if it could count as a montly single figure... ...and try to imagine what a big flock you can have with multiple purchases! A simple idea could be to create a three parts set (crebain flock + support + base), so everyone could mix and base more than one flock in a larger and more dangerous one... eventually adding it to a diorama, like a black cloud searching for the One Ring... Chris has rejected this idea as not feasible. Please choose another idea. Thanks

It might fall foul of what Mithril can release under license agreements regarding permissible characters. I'm sure an official answer will be provided before the cut-off date Chris decides on the ideas when he reviews them. If a member is following the rules they are very likely to not have a problem, if someone is concerned about an idea you might wish to not suggest it on the thread and simply inquire by email so it gets the ok for future months. Chris may decide to accept an idea and run with it outside of the limitations laid down initially which, as our sculptor, he is free to do as the rules around the single figure are primarily for his benefit so he is not overloaded with complicated sculpts. The only rules that override Chris's personal views would be the license rules which ultimately require us to get the idea passed with Middle-earth enterprises.

We were delayed due to falling short of the seven new ideas that are required by the rules before starting the vote. Now we have enough. Chris submitted the list to me today. As this month is a short month, the time to vote will also have to be shortened so please vote asap as this will expire on Friday. We can then do the final vote over the weekend.

We had three ideas per month that go forward to the final round. This will run until the end of the month. Please respect the same rules as the first round. - You have two votes. Use them both or lose them.
- Vote for one idea PER month only. Do not vote for two ideas in the same month.
- The poll is open to show the current status prior to submission of your vote so vote strategically.
Please include a comment about why you chose one idea over another. This can convince undecided voters to support your idea. We also ask everyone to take part, even if your original favourite failed to make it this far. The winners will go into production so have your say now to help decide which miniature will get made.

Rohir laying on ground defending himself against attacking warg with his shield and the rest of his broken spear. (DEC) Warg attacking on ground laying Rohir. (JAN) You need to follow the rules or your post might get missed. Chris seems to have missed it this time. Look at Ddaines post for how to make a suggestion. Some others did quite well too, some did less well in terms of posting their ideas. We did not miss your ideas deliberately, but Chris simply missed yours when he sent me the list of approved ideas.

Happy New Year everyone. The lists are accepted and Chris is extremely excited by all these wonderful ideas. I have divided them up into their appropriate months with the tags [DEC] and [JAN]. PLEASE take a minute to read the rules below: - You have TWO votes to use. Use them or lose them.
- Only vote for one idea PER month. If you vote for two ideas in the same month you are cancelling out your vote.
- You will see the result after voting in the poll. This blind method gives every idea a fair start.
- Be aware that the ranking system (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc) may mislead you on what is winning. The forum does not handle a two list in one poll setup so ignore that. I will select the most popular from EACH month to go into the next round.
Please comment on why you choose your preferred ideas, even if you had not originally submitted them, as that may presuade others to support them too. The next final round will begin on the 18th.

Welcome back. We have a clear favourite from the first round and a tie for second place. All three go forward to the final vote. Remember all members have one vote each. The poll will show the currnet status so you can strategically vote. The poll will close at the end of this month.
Please comment on why you chose to vote for any of the ideas, even if you had not originally submitted it or supported it in the first round. Good luck to all contenders.

How come there has been no proposal in recent months? We reported back in July I believe that we were postponing the fellowship while we sorted out the issues we were experiencing with manufacturing. There were complaints by some members about this issue too, where they felt it was pointless suggesting ideas while no mechanism was settled on making them. So we decided to hold everything until Chris was ready to allow the list to grow again.
