Earnur, on rearing frightened horse in front of Fornost
"When finally the Witch-king, clad in black, came forth near Fornost, many of the horses fled in terror. So did Eärnur's steed, and it took some time before the Captain of Gondor could regain control. The Witch-king laughed at this seeming retreat, but his victory would not last long. "

Time once again to suggest my own repeatedly requested favourite: Elfhelm the Marshal on horsebackLast July, Elfhelm failed to win by a single vote, and received a number of promises of future support. Alas, this support failed to materialise the next time he featured, when he received just my own vote! What fickle people you are. However, now you have a chance to redeem your honour - vote for Elfhelm this time and I'll call back the Orc bands I've sent out to find you all..... And you erase my bill at the pony?

seated Elessar - King of GondorThis means dear Fellowship members, should you like this suggestion to support it to be released just order Nr. MC20 together with the purchase of King Elessar, and we can have a very much worthy Fellowship miniature of one of the most important characters of The Lord of the Rings!
Please think about that possibility Excellent ...

Meglinon (S- 'Honey-eater / Bear-like Person') - Bee-herald of Imladris
From Rockheimr@aol.com, Middle-Earth MERP module group
"Bees are infamously haughty, proud, self-important and touchy creatures, ever aware they are the only ones able to create the golden gift of honey. Even worker bees believe themselves to be on a social par with the heirs of an Elvish or Mannish household, and queen bees are as honoured as the head of the house.
Thus, long ago, the Elves learned that to successfully keep and breed bees required ensuring they are kept happy and content, but most importantly feeling appreciated and respected. Thus one must speak to them regularly and always deferentially, almost as a supplicant, regularly informing them of all the doings of the house, and most importantly of all inviting them politely to attend important social events, such as weddings, funerals and so on.
Even though the bees actually don't deign to attend most social functions, feeling they are far too busy working and can't spare the time, should they not be kept properly informed, or worse yet be left uninvited to a wedding for example, they will certainly become most wroth, and either leave in an angry swarm to find a new and better home, with folk who have manners more worthy of them, or worse yet attack anyone who comes near their hives.
So it is that Elves, who love honey like all sensible folk, keep bees in hives, a craft they first invented and perfected, before sharing it with Men, but always appoint a 'Bee-herald', (S- 'Glíwilnaror', 'One who tells the Bees') who spends endless hours talking and singing to the bees, keeping them abreast of current events, or recounting poems and songs for their enjoyment, whilst also of course tending the hives and collecting honeycomb from them with the gracious consent of the Queens.
The Bee-herald of the Rivendell Hives, which are located at the edge of the West Orchard in a neat white fenced area beside a small cottage where the herald lives, is Meglinon.
An Avari Silvan Elf, who was once King Oropher of the Greenwood's Bee-herald, but who departed that land at the end of the last Age, when Oropher's son Thranduil assumed the throne rather than Bladorthin, whom Meglinon have favoured, of average height and stature, with long hazel hair upon which is set a golden circlet with an amber bee emblem at it's centre. His eyes are golden brown, and it is said they were once blue, but that they slowly changed colour over many long years of gazing upon the honey he collects and prizes. Dressed in rustic Silvan green and brown tunic and trews, Meglinon knows the name of every bee in the valley, and their lineage, and refers to them as; 'Master Nimbleflit, of the line of the Glimmergold Hive', or 'Squire Bumbledash', or 'Lord Antbane, of the Combwatch Guard of Good Queen Pollenrich', or 'Young Sir Farflight the Daring', or 'Old Strongwing the Flowerminer' and so on. The bees respect Meglinon more than they do anyone else at Rivendell, save Lord Elrond and his immediate family, and occasional important visitors such as the Lady Galadriel for example. The bees will not bother other Elves, but Meglinon asks that any entering the Hive Paddock bow as they approach the hives. On some nights as Meglinon sings to them in Elvish, the bees will dance for him, soaring about the evening sky in amazing swarming patterns, their combined buzzing forming a rythmic accompaniment to Meglinon's songs"

January : Finduilas sister of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth, the late wife of Denethor II, and the mother of Boromir and Faramir.
A description of Lady Finduilas is given in Appendix A of The Lord of the Rings The Return of the King: "She was a lady of great beauty and gentle heart. Denethor loved her, in his fashion, more dearly than any other, unless it were the elder of the sons that she bore him. But it seemed to men that she withered in the guarded city, as a flower of the seaward vales set upon a barren rock. The shadow in the east filled her with horror, and she turned her eyes ever south to the sea that she missed."

December: Angbor of Lamedon
Already proposed many time ...
"Angbor was met by Aragorn when he arrived from the Paths of the Dead. He was in battle with the Corsairs of Umbar, when the Army of the Dead gave their aid. Angbor was the only man who had courage enough to meet with Aragorn, who instructed him to gather his men and ride to the aid of Minas Tirith. It was later mentioned that he and his men arrived at Minas Tirith during the time Aragorn and company left for the Black Gate. It was Aragorn that named Angbor "the Fearless" "

Roac and ThorinBeing able to speak Westron, the raven delivered the news that Smaug had been killed. Roäc agreed to bring a message to Dáin II Ironfoot from Thorin, a call for help in guarding the treasures of Erebor in the wake of war. However, Roäc also gave a piece of advice to Thorin, warning him that "the treasure is likely to be your death"

better not expand this debate on a political point of view master O'Brian, you might attract yourself a lot of furious backlash... I will conclude with what I have to say about it : Current democracy includes secrecy for the identity of who votes but also HIGH secrecy about the results of a vote before the vote ends. Knowing the results of a vote before its end (factually I mean, not "extrapolations") would be a direct attack to the core notion of democracy. We are not in politics here indeed the implications are very very very lower , but I just wanted to make my point. Besides this is off topic (I'm expert at being off topic I know) If you want to respect democracy then, it is easy make a poll yourself to ask GF members what they prefer (two rounds or single one with switch option ) (I assure you, a single vote will be enough hehehe) My two cents ... Representative democracy are anyway not "democratic". Once the vote done, your elected representatives will not engage themselves on the same way as the majority of people wants ans especially on external politics I will vote for an easier one round vote which as Michal said is the same result as a 2 votes

ValglinA quiet, even-tempered Elf, Valglin served the Court of Ardor from Naurlindol, often cooling the Sorceress' outbursts. She frequently embarked on espionage missions, utilizing her skills to infiltrate strongholds of the Court's enemies. Unusually small, even for an Avar Elf, (5'2"), Valglin had brown hair and eyes. Her size and unobtrusive appearance often worked to her advantage. ... from "Court of Ardor" Dear Luthien I add the drawing from the MERP module.

About Thorondir suggestion by Mornedhel, that would be great though I fear the "steward chair" may not be as ornate as in the picture. We have an example of Denethor sitting on the steward chair already and the chair is a very very "basic one".... Unless it was a choice of later stewards to remove any kind of ornate furniture for their office , it may be the case... I'd indeed appreciate an enthroned figurine... actually there is a lack of enthroned figurines (except for the elves) I can imagine Denethor, a more ascetic and stark character. He then replace the pompous throne by an austere one.

Thorondir on throne, 22nd Ruling Steward of Gondor. I understand it's a single figure month (as usual) but a throne is NOT a second figure or a lot of furnitures...Born in TA 2782 Thorondir was the son of Belecthor II. During the later parts of his father's reign, the White Tree began to die and when he died in TA 2872 so did the tree. Thorondir then succeeded him as the twenty-second Ruling Steward. During his reign, he decided not to remove the remains of the White Tree instead leaving it standing in hope that the king would return someday. Nothing more is recorded about his reign but that it was probably a peaceful one. Thorondir died in TA 2882 at the age of 100 after ten years of rule and was succeeded by his son Túrin II.
