Thank you very much, Michael, for getting back to my entry. - I think that's all many people were interested in, not only me. Just to get some explanation for the massive delay in the production of the MS-figures and to have news about the next upcoming releases.

Gildor, harsh words you chose, though they could have been mine. Thank you for referring to the first entry in this thread. As for putting new suggestions here I just want to point out again, that some months ago (!!!) I stated that I will not make any more suggestions here(though ideas I still have) until I have my last two winning suggestions (Haradan musician Nov.12 + Tarannon Falastur April 13) in my hands.
Sorry, but for me it doesn't make much sense to risk another winning-suggestion I would have to wait for and which might be released late in 2016 or late in 2017 (provided that there's no delay).
I am aware that my entry here is out of topic. I just want to explain again my point of view.

Alright then ... but before that, are there any further plans about upcoming releases of all the other figures that were successfully voted for since ... don't ask me when, Michael. - Sorry, I just dared to ask right here, as I guess that many others might also contact this thread here and I guess they many of them might also be interested in an answer to my question. Sorry, to have taken this chance to put this question in public here, as I just saw that you, Michael, opened this thread a short time ago, but I know that some information that might be given in a newsletter is missing. Furtheron I am sure that I am not the only one thinking like that. So, please, there's no harm intended with this what I just said.

I once also suggested a female orc (without a name). But that was because I then was a bit annoyed about some suggestions. So it wasn't really meant seriously, though it started a long discussion on MMP.

No votes so far? - Well, I also have to consider a while.

I think I can well understand both positions of you, Mornedhel and Thingol. And to be honest I share them both. The criticism is about a, let's say, 25th suggestion of a named character such as Bilbo, Gandalf, etc. in a different pose. I also can well understand Mornedhel's point of view stating that Chris' talent can make an un-named character a very fine and excellent miniature (e.g. Bogatung or the wine-merchant and many others). What I clearly dislike is the low number of people taking part in the votes.

I also do not suggest a figure this month. As Milo said, there already are some nice suggestions and I will hold back until my latest winning suggestions will have seen the light (the musician and Tarannon). But of course I'll take part in the votings, as I always do.

Er, if "this goes far beyond the scope of this thread" as you correctly put it, Tolwen, I'd like to ask you to contact me in private. I'm looking forward to that.

Tolwen, there was no harm intended with my latest entry and I could not take any harm from your answer (as there was none). We certainly do agree on the fact that in the MS-series those common people are not well-presented. (as it was once in some of the good-old M-series). See ... is there any difference between a Haradan musician and an old Eridorian woman feeding chicken? ... or to a very nice wine-trador. cheers Theobald

Well, Tolwen, if I followed your way of argueing that would lead to the conclusion that about 90% of Mithril figures might be "interchangeable" as you call it. The only way to avoid that is to give certain figures some characteristics based on Tolkien's descriptions. Of course (and fortunately) one cannot find detailed desciptions of each and all characters in Tolkien's writings. So what to do when you want to distinguish them? I think you'll have to name them. Without that would you be able to identify Thorin(M363), Balin (M364) and Gloin (M365), for example? - The only thing connecting those figures with Tolkien's writings are their names and the way how Chris Tubb visualised them from his point of view and his imagination.

That's what I always imagined. The version of him on a horse might have been called "Forlong on a diet" (on a horse with no name) - as for mounting, I think no less than a good shire-horse would do

Mach's gut.

If good old Forlong wins this race I would be pleased if his belly could be sculpted a bit more protrusive than the one of the mounted figure.

Hm, thank you Halbarad II, somehow you're right.By the way I'm really glad you're still into this. So I will reconsider. And there's time left. Though I will not get back to re-suggestions placed by others before. It's not what I ever did.

My dear Mithril-maniacs (as I privately like to call you), after having been the winner of two suggestions within only half a year lately (after some other "winners" in the past),I hope you can well understand that I need some rest. With this entry I just want to assure you, that I always take part in the votings since these votings do exist. And, yes, to be honest ... since then I always hoped that some more people around here would do likewise. Sorry, I just wanted to point out that again.

Er ... sorry ... but all these new "improvements" about design and colours leaves me a bit helpless. Alright, even considering my age and the decline of brain that might go along with it, to me the way of providing results of current votes or suggestions is just a bit more than just confusing ... so to say. Anyway, I'll try to cope with it somehow. Fortunately I'm able to access the forum without having to give in the "very" secured password which changes from time to time. Now I'm just curious where this entry will appear. Won't take a minute.

Thank you Gildor. But ... to be honest, I'm just too lazy to do that. It would take me too much time to learn about uploading something here and "setting an avatar", as you called it, you know. I better try to cope with that "default picture". So, never mind, it's all right. Sorry for having interrupted this thread with such a minor matter.
