Beggar of Laketown
We have Commoners as generic characters, but I don't recall a specific Beggar as a figure. Please correct me if I am mistaken.
I envision a street beggar, but one that is standing with a cup, thrust forward in the right hand. There would be no weapons, just ragged garb with perhaps a hemp rope for a belt.
He would have long hair with a scraggly beard.

Since we have extra time, I will make use of it.
I will re-suggest an old idea of mine: DRAGON HATCHLING
It would be great to see the hatchling crawling out of a shell. If that isn't practical, then posed spreading its little wings for the first time, maybe with scattered fragments of the shell on the base. I would expect this piece to be man sized, so no issues with that.

EOTHAIN, MAN OF ROHAN
Eothain is one of the very few named characters left unproduced by Mithril who spoke in the LOTR books. He tried to discourage Eomer from lending horses to Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimili. He even warned him that Théoden might have him slain as a traitor.
I picture Eothain standing with arms crossed disapprovingly across his chest. He would be clad in Rohirrim riding gear and weaponry.

Again, LOSSOTH FEMALE!
I envision her on bone skates, per the description in the Red Book of Westmarch. She could have a sack of supplies, or perhaps a bundle of firewood on her back. Let's finish the Lossoth line of figures!

I recommend Eothain, A Rider under Éomer’s command
From the Encyclopedia of Arda: A member of Éomer's éored that overran the orcs who had captured Merry and Pippin at the fringe of Fangorn Forest, and later encountered Aragorn and his companions on the wide fields of Rohan. Éothain was not as trusting as his commander, scoffing at the idea that hobbits even existed, and arguing against the gift of horses to the three companions.
Another one that is named in the books and hasn't been produced by Chris yet.

I am voting for Elfhelm as well! He has been suggested by many and so finally we get a chance to vote for him. The other ideas all should be made as well, vignettes or as a boxed set, depending on design.

OK, why not put up the FEMALE LOSSOTH again? So I will. I would let Chris decide the design, except she should at least wear a pair of bone skates to travel across the ice, as mentioned in the Red Book of Westmarch.

Personally, I really don't care if the vote is hidden or not, maybe we could ask Michael to conduct a poll? The previous discussion, I think, was more about whether two rounds of voting is a good idea. And most people who spoke up thought so.
Isn't it only the first round that is hidden?

LOSSOTH FEMALE ON BONE-SKATES!
Chris can decide the details if she should win.
The Lossoth Hunter needs a companion!

Hi Michael. Regarding the two rounds of voting that was adopted after we initially had a single round; I feel a need to remind you that I was the person who first suggested it, and GF members mostly (but not all) supported the idea. It was based upon the fact that if there is only one voting round, and everyone who suggested a figure voted for their own suggestion, that the winner in one round of voting would be decided by those who hadn't made a suggestion for that month. By having a second round, members who made a suggestion would be able to vote for their idea in the first round, and if it wasn't a finalist, then they could vote for another suggestion in the second round. My suggestion for two rounds of voting had nothing to do with being able to change a vote during either round of voting. That is something Mithril (you) added later. The idea of having two rounds, I suggested at the time, also would give members a reason to go to the Mithril site more than just once during the voting period--perhaps even increasing Mithril sales! I don't remember any conversation about technical difficulties, or website issue--a brief trip to the Mithril archives will confirm what I have just stated. Perhaps these website issues were discussed afterwards, or in a different thread, or perhaps I missed them? In any case Michael, you of course are free to manage this site as you'd like, and I will continue to suggest, vote for, and buy Mithrils designed by Chris, whether there are one or two rounds of voting. But I just wanted to remind everyone of the logic behind conducting two rounds of voting. Perhaps having two rounds is difficult for you--I know you are busy.
I'm sorry that this is off topic, but this thread is where the conversation regarding this issue has been posted, and I feel a need to respond to the comments above.

Hopefully we will have a dual figure or vignette month at least three or four times a year. That would be an improvement, and if they sold well PA/Mithril might expand on that. I agree that there are several great ideas here this month. And Elfhelm mounted needs to be produced.
Also, I really believe the two round voting system is best. Then we get to vote on three or four figure in a final round.

Wow, many great ideas!!! I am partial to Elfhelm, however, and have suggested him a few times. He's one of the last named figures unmade, along with Duilin and Derufin.

A Black Numenorean would be awesome! I remember nominating that type of character years ago. It is a missing figure from the works of Chris.
Troy is right, it is not Chris who is far behind in production, but rather Mithril/PA.

I really like the Duinhur suggestion. But since last month was very short on figures, I will suggest one also:
Female Lossoth on bone skates!
This also has been suggested many time and by others as well. I will leave a description later, but I think we all know how she would look :-)

Hello Mithril friends.
I will suggest again the DRAGON HATCHLING
My vision of the figure would be to have the dragon hatchling breaking out of its shell, perhaps at least half way free. The wings would still be moist and pressed back along its body, not extended yet. But I would leave the artistic conception to Chris.

I would say that this is the beauty of the FG Membership. Every month we collectively decide which figure will be produced. And then we individually decide if we will buy it when produced.

I will suggest (again) a Female Lossoth.
She could be wearing furs and have a large sack on her back, or perhaps a load of wood she had hunted for to heat the cooking pots over the fire back home. In this scene she would have snowshoes under her boots.
Or . . . Chris could make her a whimsical figure, ice-skating (skates made of sharpened bone from antlers) on a frozen pond with a light cloak, unhooded with her hair flying in the air as she twirls around.
Let's give the Lossoth Hunter a wife!!! ;-)

Michael, I think a
Dragon Hatchling
would be an awesome idea!!!
You should submit it as your own idea this month.
It would be really cool if the figure showed the hatchling crawling out of its cracked egg!!

I would bet that this is a bit of humor on Chris' part. He is very subtle some times, and can be quite funny. The last post on this months suggestion thread was by "Milo," who said he wouldn't make a suggestion as he liked many of the ones made by others.
Remember Morlas? ;-)
