It's not over yet. 43 voters in the first round, so there's still a chance for a tie But only for a few moments more..... you know what happens after the discovery of Baldor's corpse: A chill blast comes and the light of the torches is gone...

But aren't the Un-dead just shades, spirits, ghosts? The trolls were made in mockery of the Ents, right?

ICE Middle Earth Role Play - MERP- creation *Badass*
Empire of the Witch-king
Angûlion - the Iron Sorcerer Dunadan Black Númenórean Mage/Sorcerer Mouth of the Witch-king of Angmar
The Angûlion is the most powerful mortal in the service of the Necromancer. He gave his fealty to Sauron during the second age, at much the same time as his cousin Akhôrahil, who later became one of the Ring-wraiths. The Angûlion is a sorcerer, utterly evil and completely loyal to Sauron and the Witch-king. His great power confers on him a high degree of immunity to the spell of dread which the Ulair (Ring-wraiths) cast over mortal men, and his long association with them has artificially lengthened his life span. He has served Sauron in many capacities over the centuries. The Angûlion is a master of persuasion, an his silver tongue has won the dark Lord many friends and allies. At times, he works as Sauron’s assassin, using his magic to murder the Necromancer’s enemies. Capable of greater independent thought than eight of the Nazgûl, the Angûlion’s intelligence, experience, and deviousness have been the source of many evil plots on Sauron’s behalf. The Angûlion played a mayor role in the corruption and downfall of Rhudaur. Home: Carn Dûm He wears black robes, a black breastplate with a glowing silver gem which amplifies his voice and he wields a staff.

It's taken Master Holger so long to get his weary orc to the top of the wall at Helm's Deep that I feel I have to support him (no that wasn't intended as a ladder joke), if only to reward his determination! Me too!

ELLADAN CARRYING A TORCH ALOFT: PATHS OF THE DEADThis may seem a bit uninspired, but bear with me. It's actually my first tentative step towards getting Mithril's Baldur figure redesigned and re-released as part of a "three-piece" vignette" (i.e., a vignette entailing three stand-alone Fellowship figures voted for and produced individually in due course, I hope), hopefully comprising in time a crouching Aragorn, Elladan with torch and - though I'm sure the "powers that be" understandably won't be keen about this bit, since some 90-plus MS586 figs are still languishing in stock - a CORRECTLY posed Baldur, i.e. face-down with his hands scrabbling forwards and upwards (no door actually required!). Of course, it would be very easy to explain the "current" Baldur's poor sales record being a consequence of the figure's inaccurate - OK, absolutely wrong - pose for this iconic moment in the book. I think Chris's concern at the time was that a face-down pose would be unpopular, but there may have been other reasons too. Anyway, I shall now retire behind the bar in the Pony, put a saucepan on my head and pour myself a drink. Not at all uninspired. I whould also love to see this scene in correct pose. Good luck

Tom Bombadil with the One Ring
From Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring Chapter VII In the House of Tom Bombadil
'Show me the precious Ring!‘ he said suddenly in the midst of the story; and Frodo, to his own astonishment, drew out the chain from his pocket, and unfastening the Ring handed it at once to Tom. It seemed to grow larger as it lay for a moment on his big brown-skinned hand. Then suddenly he put it to his eye and laughed. For a second the Hobbits had a vision, both comical and alarming, of his bright eye gleaming through a circle of gold. Then Tom put the Ring round the end of his little finger and held it up to the candlelight. For a moment the Hobbits noticed nothing strange about this. Then they gasped. There was no sign of Tom disappearing!
Tom laughed again, and then spun the Ring in the air – and it vanished with a flash. Frodo gave a cry – and Tom leaned forward and handed it back to him with a smile. As Frodo got the Ring back, he was suspicious and put on the One Ring to try, and the Hobbit became invisible... he wasn't seen by his Hobbit fellows but he was seen by Tom Bombadil for sure. He is. One of the big mysteries in the novel. Tom as single miniature standing with the Precious between his fingers holding it in front of his bright blue eye (paint job) or even the One Ring put on his little finger – Tom is still visible ! means he whould make a fine miniature. He should be pretty chubby – the fellowship miniature MS297 of Tom Bombadil with the badger-folk is superb.

Thanks David, I also whould have been happy, if Beregond had won. But just think about King Elessar with the white tree sapling, that was a single month suggestion too, wasn't it? We got Gandalf the White included. You never know.

Nice idea Harry, I always imagined Gollum in a small coracle type boat, possibly made from goblin skins Yes. Thanks David. That whould be cool: skins and bones, and other debris, that can be found underground.

If Frodo on a quite large seat is possible, I try this one: the boat whould be as small, that just Gollum and maybe a fish has enough space. Anyway much smaller than the rowing boat of M83 Smeagol and Deagol in Boat. Gollum paddling in his little boat on the cave lake
The Hobbit Chapter V
Riddles in the Dark
... Deep down here by the dark water lived old Gollum, a small slimy creature. I don’t know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Gollum – a dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little boat, and he rowed about quite quietly on the lake, for a lake it was, wide and deep and deadly cold. He paddled with large feet dangling over the side, but never a ripple did he make. Not he. He was looking out of his pale lamp-like eyes for blind fish, which he grabbed with his long fingers as quick as thinking. He liked meat too. Goblin he thought good, when he could get it; but he took care they never found him out. ...
Picture just as example. Of course our Mithril Gollum and the design of the little boat is left to Chris Tubb. Image of Gollum in his boat on the underground lake: by Frank Frazetta from the Rolozo Tolkien page
