Hi collector fellows and Mike I've got a question about a fellowship point I was sure that was with the first club member recruiting: >> If a member's suggestion manages to be the winner of a voting month the member is able to get the first casting (or one of the first casting workstep).<< > I managed to suggest 3 winners so far and with the first one, "Eowyn and Faramir at the houses of healing" I got No. 1 casting (base says so) > with the second winning suggestion "Haradrian champion mounted on camel" it wasnt the case. Is this fact still up to date or didn't I mention it was cancelled sometime for some reason? No big trouble, I'd just like to know (perhaps there is some experience from other members with winning suggestions)

And again, I don't loose hope because I know there is a numerous part of collector fellows who also want to see Elronds wife released:
LADY CELEBRIAN
Celebrian, wife of Elrond Half-elven with flowers in her golden hair dressed in noble elven garments.
Celebrian is a character, that wasn't released so far: We have miniatures of Elrond, Elrohir & Elladan and Arwen already, but there is one still missing to complete the family:
Lady Celebrian - fair haired daughter of Galadriel & Celeborn of Lothlorien wife of Elrond and mother of the twin brothers and Lady Arwen
There is the story, that she travelled once from Rivendell to Lorien and she and her travelling party were attacked and captured by cruel orcs. Celebrian was rescued quickly by her brave sons, healed from a serious arrow wound by Elrond. But she got sad of middle-earth, so she went over the sea to the undying lands and left middle-earth some time ago.
Think of a female figure in our fellowship range next to the female assassin of Dol Amroth Cheers Hwolf

alright, buddies, so be it, make the Trio complete in the end...
Bert, Bill and Tom - the three Trolls will be united and Chris can make us a very nice three months / parts vignette for the first one looks good. I wonder if one of the trolls will hold Bilbo by his toes?
And afterwards there is finally room for all the other suggested figures....
Happy voting, Hwolf

Hi everybody!
I will put forth an old suggestion of me again: MADNESS!
THE PYRE OF DENETHOR
We have one Denethor figure so long, sitting in front of the throne on his little black chair, but no standing one.
I have tHE vision of the scene: Denethor standing like on the Pyre with the cursed palantir in his hands, a dagger at his side and the mad expression on his face. He is standing on a base with some twigs and some flames are licking at the wood and his garments.

fellows if you don't know: there is a Othar figure already: ms226 - fellowship figure with Isildur and Elrond, Othar is bearing the broken sword Narsil and Isildurs shield, though the sword is not very good visible so what will the suggestion be? Othar running or leaping on his escape to Rivendell? www.mithril.ie/Fellowship/index.html

King Elessar holding up his little son Eldarion
similar to Gilraen fleeing to Imladris with little Aragorn in arms, just more joyful
As Aragorn is a very much liked personality to the club members, My suggestion this month is: Lord Aragorn some time after his coronation and wedding to Lady Arwen with his firstborn son Eldarion at young age, holding him up with both arms over his head. King Elessar in royal garment, but wearing rather a circlet than the tall winged crown. Both looking and laughing or smiling at each other. Or the pose could be just little Eldarion on the Arm of Elessar, like Gilraen, if there should be to much trouble making the arms and boy seperately, though it worked well with the trumpeting Ent also, and that one was bigger...
The figure could be similar touching as Gilraen carrying little Aragorn! - Of course more happier, for there is no fleeing...
Let the line of Kings of Gondor and Arnor go on!

yes interesting the blind vote... but seems not very much members have voted, wasn't there months with over 50-60 votes?
And more interesting were the first round winners!
Sorry for the orc... maybe next time Now let's see the struggle of the Dwarf King (anyway there is Balin in wargear available at mithrils) and the King who survived the sunken Island-Kingdom wonder how he will be named leaving out the silmarillion mention.

very good idea this poll Mike and absolutely correct, it's very hard/impossible to satisfy everyone
but I think it's too early and difficult to decide, for we have no experience with the satisfaction of a hidden voting. (my opinion of course) I whould wait what happens at the first hidden voting, the way you have planned it at Prince August/Mithril (first round and second round)

Yeah let's see what happens now: a bit like being in middle-earth - exploring a dark tunnel under the mountains without knowing if there is a bunch of goblins, a happy dwarf party or even the balrog is waiting at the end... at least the end of last minute votes like at ebay's as Mike already points out... and no more random looking how's it developing.... I think it will be like this 1 round voting hidden , then quotes released , 2-4 suggestions with most votes going in second round, voting hidden again and then honestly: BIG SURPRISE WINNER!!!! But do we make BIG SECRETS what we are voting for now also? LOL

And what difference whould the witchking be in true form? only to see a wraith's face? - for the garments will not be very different, will they ? Keep in mind that the fellowship figures are not cheap.
and we don't see very much Mithril produced figures taking any action in the novel also... but that's exactly what MAKES MITHRIL DIFFERENT and desireable, having characters in many themes, not only for battlegames. Just count the females from the other company - do you get a handful? - and then compare with Mithril !!!

Another Witch-King? Not for me, sorry. Make a vignette out of him... visible to Frodo with the One Ring on his finger, maybe stabbing the ringbearer with that cursed knife...
Arwen hunting - Hunting with what weapon? A spear? Not fitting in my opiniong. A sword? too much like a warrior... Bow and Arrows? Fitting best, but then there will be no chance to take her for someone else, because there is no mention that the other beautiful elf-maiden was hunting... besides there is a elf-girl with bow already
So for me the most special FELLOWSHIP worthy suggestion is and stays the river woman, as described by hammershield, also in my mind. Give her a chance!

hi,
Yes, although the death rider is fighting for the good ones in the end, he was in my bad guy suggestion, for the dead warriors (oathbreakers) of dunharrow are evil spirits, haunting the valleys at night so that everybody hides full of fear inside, doos and windows shut. So before the fullfilling of the oath in 'Return of the King', they have refused, I think they belong to the bad ones.

Bad guy:
Dead Rider of Dunharrow/DwimorbergI trow in previous suggestions of mine again: the ghostrider holding spear and a ragged banner, to go together with the already released special "King of the Dead" I think a undead horse should be more skin and bones than a alive mithril horse, but not only a skeletton. The undead human ghost warrior is emaciated also. I don't think he should have great cloaks, to point out the King. The ghostly riders are missing in the mithril range so far, the existing undead are from Dunfearen (Dunland) and the dead marshes... ...Legolas turning to speak to Gimli looked back and the Dwarf saw before his eyes the glitter in the Elf's bright eyes. Behind them rode Elladan, last of the company, but not last of those that took the downward road. 'The Dead are following,' said Legolas. 'I see shapes of Men and of horses, and pale banners like shreds of cloud, and spears like winterthickets on a misty night. The Dead are following.' 'Yes, the Dead ride behind. they have been summoned, ' said Elladan...
Thus spoke Malbeth the Seer...: "Over the land there lies a long shadow, westward reaching wings of darkness. The tower trembles; to the tombs of kings for the hour is come for the oathbreakers: at the Stone of Erech they shall stand again and hear there a horn in the hills ringing. Whose shall the horn be? Who shall call them? from the grey twilight, the forgotten people? The heir of him to whom the oath they swore. From the north shall he come, need shall drive him: he shall pass the Door to the paths of the Dead.

Good guy (better Good lass :
Lady Celebrian, wife of Elrond the loremaster The fair golden haired daughter of Galadriel & Celeborn, wife of Elrond and mother of the twin brothers and Lady Arwen She is still missing in the Mithril ranges. I leave it to Chris to decide: Either she can be mounted on a beautiful elven palfrey on the jouney to Lorien (Palfreys were a noble breed of horses with a very comfortable kind of walking in the middle ages, to comfort the ladies on their jouneys and so also fitting for noble LotR elven ladies...) The neck of the horse is bowed like a swan neck and two legs are of ground each step.) So there whould be a mouted elven lady without armour in our collections... Or she can be a regular single miniature in beautiful and graceful elven garments, maybe taking a walk in Rivendells gardens or sitting in a high chair in the Halls of Fire in Elronds house, listening to the Harps... There is the story, that Celebrian travelled once from Rivendell to Lorien and was attacked and captured by cruel orcs. She was rescued by her brave sons immediately and healed by Elrond from a arrow wound, but she got sad of middle-earth, so she went over the sea to the undying lands and left middle-earth some time ago. She is described as tall, very beautiful and fair haired, and she loved peace, children and all beautiful things and had a loathing for cruel things and warfare.Cheers and happy Christmast to all fellows, Hwolf

Hi fellows I have a special suggestion this time, which I think was never thought of before: MENELVAGOR, the SWORDSMAN OF THE SKY!Text passage from Lord of the Rings:...and there leaned up, as he climbed over the rim of the world, the Swordsman of the Sky, Menelvagor with his shining belt. The Elves all burst into song." From The Fellowship of the Ring Chapter 3 Three is Company
Background:Menelvagor, the Swordsman of the Sky with his shining belt was the name given by the Elves of Middle-earth to the bright and prominent star-group that we know today as Orion. The stars of Menelvagor were originally given their shape in the sky by Varda, who in Middle-earth has the name Elbereth, 'Star-lady'. In an ancient time when Melkor still lurked in Utumno, she used the stars to fill the sky with symbols of watchfulness and guardianship. Together with the Valacirca, Menelvagor was one of the two most important of these. To the Elves, this constellation had huge symbolic importance, representing an eternal guardian of the World. Menelvagor forebodes the Last Battle that shall be at the end of days. The brilliant red star that marks the Swordsman's shoulder is known as Borgil. That we call Betelgeuse today. They called it Borgil, which can be translated as ever-star. Figure:I imagine the figure as a great warrior larger in size (between the 32mm and the 52mm figures) in a splendid armour with a winged helmet to symbolisize the heavens. The pose should resemble the star constellation Orion, arms upraised with the sword in the right hand ready to strike and a large shield in the left hand. From the star decorated belt ( the three stars of Orions belt visible at the front) the sword scabbard is hanging, embroidered with gems to resemble the great Orion nebula. The main stars at the shoulders and knees can be clasps or embroiderment on the armour, also the head stars can decorate the warriors helmet. Cheers, hwolf The Resuggesting of King Elessar holding his son I will keep in mind for later

Hello fellows!
My suggestion this month:
THE HUNT FOR THE FAMOUS BOAR OF EVERHOLT
In timeage 2864 there was a unusal huge and wild boar ravaging the fields and countryside of Rohan and scaring the people. During a famous hunt King Folca of Rohan slayed the boar in the Firienwood, the exactly place where it happened was called Everholt. But the King also died of the wounds given him by the wild beast's tusks. Folca was the thirteenth King of Rohan (Timeage 2804 - 2864). He was a great hunter and killed the last orcs remaining in Rohan from the invasion of 2799.
So my suggestion is a nice, fellowship club worthy vignette showing the Boar-hunt. I imagine at least King Folca and another Rohir hunter, one or two hunting dogs and of course the huge boar.
I'm going to sent a picture to Mike.
Model trees and already existing Rohan riders or figures with bows and spears could easily be added to the scene to make a interesting diorama
Cheers, hwolf

As I know we can submit suggestions from Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. The fight between Celebrimbor and Annatar is only mentioned, not actually happening. So does it mean we can have other characters, which are "JUST MENTIONED" in the novel??? They are also part of it, aren't they?
I voted for Frodo and Gollum, much more a key scene, if not the ultimative scene in LotR at all...

Allright, folks
I have voted for Anduril's reforging, although Celebrimbor is a great one too. - but there was Thranduil in battle-gear winning some time ago, so please someting different now...
and by the way, Congratulations to David Daines (ddaines) for his superb suggestions and drawing skills to push them:
If the reforging of Anduril should win, and I think it has more than a good chance it will, ddaines has managed to win 3 MONTHS IN A ROW! - Aragorn meeting Eomer in battle, Troll-drummer and now Anduril going to win...
Maybe we should rename the Gold status fellowship Club in DDAINES FELLOWSHIP CLUB !? LOL

Hi fellowship members!
LADY CELEBRIAN, wife of Elrond the loremaster
I put in a suggestion I had already some time ago and that was liked much: A character, that wasn't released so far: We have miniatures of Elrond, Elrohir & Elladan and Arwen already, but there is one missing to complete the family:
Lady Celebrian! daughter of Galadriel & Celeborn, wife of Elrond and mother of the twin brothers and Lady Arwen
There is the story, that she travelled once from Rivendell to Lorien and she and her party was attacked and captured by cruel orcs. Celebrian was rescued quickly by her brave sons, healed from a serious wound by Elrond. But she got sad of middle-earth, so she went over the sea to the undying lands and left middle-earth some time ago.
So how about a nice single female elven figure of Celebrian, either in Lorien or in Rivendell. Perhaps taking a walk in the gardens with some flowers in her hands...
Go on suggesting!

Hi fellows! Wow - 12 exciting suggestions for the 12th release of the second year! That's great and I think we can be anxious, which one will be the winner. It is really difficult this month, why can't we have them all? (just kidding...) Here's another peek of my imagination of the ghost riders, the challenge for Chris, who says he has never sculpted a skeletal horse. By the way in my mind the ghostly horses and warriors should not be just moving bones, but more haggard or gaunted bodies with ragged gear. ( Remember the poor dudes haven't had any food or drink for many years... cursed oathbreakers! ) So in case of being released, sculpting and finally casting should not be to difficult and afterwards better and more interesting to paint. Have a look, (Thanks, Michael - Webmaster! ) www.mithril.ie/Fellowship/gallery.htmlCheers and happy voting to all, fellows! Hwolf

Hi altogether and remember, this is the 12th release suggestion of our second year !!! gold fellowship! Should be something special... shouldn't it? My suggestion: Dead Men of Dunharrow/Dwimorberg A vignette with a ghostrider with spear and attached, ragged banner and 1 or 2 walking ghost warriors beside him. Or two different horses with riders holding spears and banners... Whould not be more complex than Beorn battles Bolg, remind that the figures are dead ! - so a undead horse should be more skin and bones than a alive mithril horse, the undead human ghosts warriors are emaciated also. I don't think they should have great cloaks, to point out the King. ->such a vignette is to go together with the King of the Dead and together with Angbor the Fearless and Elladan & Elrohir who are still to be released... ) And remember the ghostly riders are missing in the mithril range so far, the existing undead are from Dunfearen (Dunland) and the dead marshes... ...Legolas turning to speak to Gimli looked back and the Dwarf saw before his eyes the glitter in the Elf's bright eyes. Behind them rode Elladan, last of the company, but not last of those that took the downward road. 'The Dead are following,' said Legolas. 'I see shapes of Men and of horses, and pale banners like shreds of cloud, and spears like winterthickets on a misty night. The Dead are following.' From the north shall he come, need shall drive him: he shall pass the Door to the paths of the Dead. LotR - the return of the king - Book five - Chapter II: the passing of the grey company Sketches are in work and will be send to Mike...
